Jose Mourinho could hold the key to Rashford’s dream transfer to Barcelona in bizarre twist – report

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford could see his move to FC Barcelona still go through as Ansu Fati has an offer from Besiktas.

The England international has been out of the first team since before Christmas and according to recent comments by Ruben Amorim, he is no closer to a recall.

What’s more, the two are believed to not be on speaking terms, so a move away from Old Trafford certainly appears to be the attacker’s best option.

Numerous clubs have shown interest in Rashford this window but it is thought that his major preference would be a move to Barcelona this winter, as he is prepared to lower his wages to see a deal go through.

The problem for the Catalan giants is that they do not currently have the wage space as they have been unable to offload Eric Garcia or Ansu Fati to free up room in their squad for Rashford.

Turkish outlet Fanatik report that this may soon change however, as former Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Besiktas are interested in signing Fati.

The Spaniard has found gametime very hard to come by under Hansi Flick and has omitted from the squad six times out of the last 10 matches.

“The Black Eagles have set their sights on Barcelona, one of the most important clubs in world football, for a left wing transfer! Beşiktaş’s target name is young star Ansu Fati.”

“Barcelona is considering sending the 22-year-old player, whose contract will end in June 2027, back on loan”, after spending last season on loan to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League.

Solskjaer’s side also face competition from Fenerbahce, who might do a deal for the young Spaniard and could see the Norwegian go up against another former United boss, Jose Mourinho.

“It was reported that the Black-Whites are working to loan the successful footballer with a purchase option.”

Fati’s departure, alongside Unai Hernandez’s sale to Saudi Arabia, would almost certainly free up the space for Barcelona to make a last-gasp attempt to sign Rashford with just six days of the window remaining.

United set to finally land €75m star in sensational free transfer next year, contact already made – report

Manchester United are reportedly keen on sealing a deal for long-term target Frenkie de Jong on a free transfer.

The Red Devils infamously had a bid accepted for De Jong in 2022 but the Dutch international refused to swap the Camp Nou for Old Trafford.

Under Erik ten Hag, De Jong always remained an option that the club would consider signing but a move never came into fruition.

Since, De Jong has had major injury issues and he has struggled to become a regular member of Barcelona’s first team.

He still remains on a huge salary, which is incredibly problematic for the Spanish club’s wage structure and ability to sign new players, such as Marcus Rashford.

Spanish media claim that United might just look to take advantage of this situation and seal a deal for the Dutch star next year on a free transfer.

“Joan Laporta and Deco have decided that the best thing for everyone is for the former Ajax Amsterdam and Willem II player to leave Camp Nou soon, as he is not part of Hans-Dieter Flick’s plans and has a clearly secondary role.”

The problem is that they cannot ask for much money as his deal runs out in 2026 and they would have to settle at €45 million at most.

In an ideal world for the Catalans, they would get De Jong to sign a new deal and then aim to sell him for an elevated price but, “De Jong doesn’t want to sign anything, and his strategy is to wait for his contract to expire, so he can leave with a free transfer under his arm and sign a really lucrative contract elsewhere.”

This is where United come into the story with Ruben Amorim reportedly also a fan of the player and believes he could be a “very useful reinforcement” to the club’s midfield.

The reports claim the Red Devils “have already contacted Frenkie’s agent to ask him to reject all the proposals that Laporta and Deco present to him and leave Barça completely for free.”

United have also reportedly offered a lucrative €15 million as a signing on bonus should he join on a free transfer in 2026.

Man Utd transfer: Amorim and Rashford ‘no longer speaking’ as Dortmund provide ‘best’ exit route

Man Utd transfer: Amorim and Rashford ‘no longer speaking’ as Dortmund provide ‘best’ exit route

Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim and Marcus Rashford are ‘no longer on speaking terms’ as the forward looks to leave this winter, according to reports.

The Red Devils forward was omitted from Amorim’s squad for their 2-1 win over Man City in the Manchester Derby in December and has only been in included in one squad since.

Rashford came out the day after the derby match to reveal that he is open to a “new challenge” away from Man Utd if it came his way in the January transfer window.

However, his move away from Old Trafford has not been straightforward with his huge £315,000-a-week proving an issue for clubs looking to get a deal over the line.

Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and even some Premier League teams have been linked but Rashford looks no closer to a move than at the beginning of the month.

Amorim has previously said his decision to leave Rashford out was down to “selection” but after their 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday, the Man Utd boss took a different stance by insisting he would sooner put goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital in his side before the England international.

When asked about Rashford being left out of another matchday squad, Amorim responded: “It’s the same situation for every player. If you do the maximum, if you do the right things – we can use every player.

“You can see it today [Sunday] on the bench – we miss a little bit of pace to go, to change the game, to move some pieces, but I prefer [it] like that. I will put Vital [on the bench] before I put a player that doesn’t give the maximum every day so I will not change that.”

And now The Guardian claim that Amorim and Rashford are ‘no longer on speaking terms’ and that their relationship has ‘broken down to the extent that Manchester United’s head coach speaks to the player only when addressing the squad generally’.

It is understood that Rashford is holding out for a move to Barcelona – who need to offload players before they can make a move – but the Daily Mail insist that Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund have actually offered the ‘best package’.

        The newspaper claims:

‘A number of clubs remain interested in Rashford, notably Borussia Dortmund who are understood to have come up with the best package if he would be more open to a move to the Bundesliga.

‘Tottenham, West Ham, Juventus, Napoli and Galatasaray are among the others ready to offer him an escape route from Old Trafford for the remainder of the season.

According to reports, Manchester United are among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea target Mathys Tel, who has asked to leave Bayern Munich.

Tel has reportedly told Bayern that he wants to move before the January transfer window closes due to a lack of game time.

Chelsea have been linked with the 19-year-old all month and are boosted by the German club’s interest in their player, Christopher Nkunku.

News of Tel’s decision was reported by Fabrizio Romano, who claimed the race for his signature is ‘open’.

He wrote on X: ‘Mathys Tel has just decided to leave Bayern in January! Bayern and player side will assess all the options on the market. Chelsea asked for Tel at the beginning of January but there are more clubs also keen… race open.’

There is bound to be lots of interest in signing Tel and Manchester United are one of the teams considering a move, according to Florian Plettenberg.

Just like Romano, Plettenberg has said the race is ‘open’ and the Red Devils could make a move if Alejandro Garnacho or Marcus Rashford leave.

‘Understand Manchester United considering entering the race for Mathys Tel in the event of a departure of Alejandro Garnacho or Marcus Rashford following Tel‘s decision to leave FC Bayern before Deadline Day,’ the German journalist said.

‘Open race. But Man Utd and more teams are very well informed.’

Selling Garnacho would help Man United sign some of Ruben Amorim’s top targets, with Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu expected to join the club in the coming days.

Garnacho has been linked with a move to Chelsea as well, but Blues transfer expert Matt Law says talks between the two Premier League clubs ‘slowed down over the weekend’.

Law adds that Chelsea could sign a new midfielder before the winter window closes but a new attacker is Enzo Maresca’s ‘primary focus. He wrote in The Telegraph:

With Romeo Lavia out, Chelsea could still assess their midfield options before the closure of the transfer window with sources still not ruling out a move for a number six before the transfer window shuts on Monday.

Chelsea’s primary focus remains on their attack, however, with the club still looking at wingers and strikers either for now or for the summer.

Alejandro Garnacho remains a player of interest who Chelsea could bid for, but talks over the Manchester United winger slowed down over the weekend.

Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel, who can play on the wing or through the middle, also remains on Chelsea’s radar.

Chelsea have plenty of options in wide areas already, which head coach Maresca emphasised last week.

“I’m happy with the wingers we have,” he told a press conference.

“I said many times, on the right side it’s Pedro [Neto] and Noni [Madueke], left side Jadon [Sancho] and Misha [Mykhaylo Mudryk] was with us, now he’s not with us.

“Tyrique [George] is the profile that can help us. In this moment we are okay for wingers.”

Monstrous defender set to fly to Manchester for medical as United’s 2nd signing is “finalised” – Di Marzio

Manchester United and Lecce will “close the deal” for Patrick Dorgu today with the Danish international set to fly to England tomorrow for a medical.

Italian football expert Gianluca Di Marzio reveals the Red Devils are “finalising the details” of the €37.5 million move for Dorgu – €30 million up front with €7.5m in bonuses.

Interestingly, fellow transfer guru Fabrizio Romano contends the deal is worth €35 million in a similar formulation – €30 million base fee with €5 million in potential add-ons.

It remains to be seen which of the Italian reporters is correct, but the delicate financial situation at Old Trafford – due to the acute pressure of PSR – means every penny counts for United this month.

Regardless, the protracted pursuit of Dorgu, who emerged as the club’s number one target for the vacant left wing-back position this month, was finally realised yesterday, after the Reds had seen two opening bids rejected by the Italian club.

Di Marzio writes, “Manchester United and Lecce are finalizing the details of the Patrick Dorgu deal. The deal should be finalized today.”

The Sky Sports reporter further reveals, “the 2004-born player will be able to fly to England to begin his new adventure. Patrick Dorgu is expected in Manchester on Thursday, January 30, then he will undergo medical tests and sign the contract.”

The completion of a medical and the agreement of personal terms are expected to be a formality. Dorgu is not suffering from any injury concerns and the Dane is reported to have already agreed a salary with United officials during earlier negotiations.

The 20-year-old wing-back, who has often played as a right-winger for Lecce this season such is his versatile skillset, will then become the “first signing of the Ruben Amorim era at Manchester United.”

The Portuguese coach is believed to have personally approved Dorgu as a target with the Danish international’s potent pairing of speed, size, and strength offering a significant upgrade to a squad lacking in all three areas.

Amorim has struggled to find a suitable option to play the left wing-back role since arriving at Old Trafford. Neither Luke Shaw or Tyrell Malacia are able to handle the demands of the role, forcing the former Sporting manager to deploy Diogo Dalot out of position.

The 39-year-old coach will be delighted to welcome yet another talented young defender like Dorgu to his ranks when the Dane steps off the plane from Italy tomorrow, after it was revealed yesterday morning United had agreed “personal terms” with 18-year-old Arsenal defender Ayden Heaven to buttress Amorim’s defensive unit as well.

United star could be set to follow Antony through the door at Real Betis this January – report

Real Betis are reportedly keen on signing Tyrell Malacia on loan from Manchester United before the February 3 deadline next week.

Malacia, 25, has found game time hard to come by since making his return from serious injury in November last year.

It seems that he will find it even harder to find minutes in United’s first team as they are on the verge of signing Lecce wing-back Patrick Dorgu.

In addition, Luke Shaw is also said to be close to making a return to the first team after his latest injury setback.

Juventus and Como have previously been linked with a move for the Dutch international with Malacia recently reveaing he is “sharp and ready” to play football after his long-term lay off.

And now the Daily Mail report that another club is keen to secure his services on loan before next Monday.

“Antony could soon find himself with a touch of familiarity at Real Betis as the Spanish side are interested in taking Tyrell Malacia on loan.”

“The La Liga club are one of multiple clubs interested in taking on the full-back” before next Monday’s deadline.

Fabrizio Romano has already claimed that the player is a concrete option to leave the club this winter.

What’s more, having recently discussed a loan deal for Antony, United will have very clear channels of communication with La Liga side and are likely to have a strong relationship.

If Malacia is ever to make a full recovery from his terrible knee injury, he will need to prove he can play regularly at a high level and Betis could prove to be a great opportunity to do just that.

He has played just 271 minutes this season in seven appearances for the first team.

                Casemiro (Manchester United)
For Man Utd, this January window promised plenty of outgoings and potentially a couple of additions as Ruben Amorim attempts to shape his squad.

Unfortunately for Amorim, there’s been lots of talk but not much action as the ‘frustrated’ head coach has joined the fanbase in getting irritated by INEOS’ ineptitude.

Casemiro’s demotion to fifth-choice central midfielder below Toby Collyer suggests Amorim wants to get rid of the former world-class midfielder, though pleas for interest appear to be falling on deaf ears.

While a switch to Al-Nassr to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo has consistently been touted as a likely next move, there have been no credible reports of a transfer being close. This is a kick in the teeth for United as a sale to the Saudi Pro League is the only way they could get a decent chunk of that £60m fee back after the previous regime’s braindead decision to invest in the 32-year-old.

Barring the Saudi Pro League and the MLS, Casemiro’s options are limited; his massive salary and dire slump since his debut season means United’s struggle to offload their pricey flop – under contract until 2026 – is set to drag on to the summer, at least.

The Wolves standout has been nudged out of our Premier League team of the season so far
, but he’s far too good for the relegation strugglers and a transfer elsewhere is inevitable this year.

Rival Premier League sides are queueing up to sign the Brazil international, who has a stunning tally of 14 goal involvements in his 22 Premier League appearances this season.

Given that Wolves dropped into the Premier League bottom three over the weekend, it’s hardly surprising that the 25-year-old has no intention of penning a contract extension amid interest from Arsenal, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.

A £60m fee has been touted as an acceptable figure. This sounds right for a player of Cunha’s ability, though you’d be hard-pressed to find a Premier League team willing to pay such a fee this month.

Regardless of whether Wolves stay up, Cunha’s price tag will likely dip in the summer. It would also spark further conflict between the board and supporters if a player capable of firing them to safety (nearly on his own) is sold in the final days of this window.

                Tyler Dibling
Wolves have been bad this season, but at least they have not been Southampton levels of bad as their supporters lean on a flourishing 18-year-old for any resemblance of positivity from this disastrous season.

The Saints have been hopeless as they threaten to break Derby County’s record-low points tally, but they still have one of the Premier League’s best academies and Dibling is the latest graduate to make waves in the first team.

Southampton’s fresh-faced star boy is attracting admiring glances from the Premier League elite and sides in Europe, so he’ll likely have a raft of tempting offers to choose from when his time to leave comes.

But with Southampton reportedly demanding £55m this month, Dibling will need to add a relegation to his CV before moving on with RB Leipzig a great option as an alternative to the Big Six mob.

                Jack Grealish
Man City are comfortably the biggest spender in Europe this window
as their end-of-2024 woes forced Pep Guardiola and co. to bring forward their transfer plans.

Past-it Kyle Walker has been the first victim of Man City’s ongoing radical rebuild and more of their spent trophy-hoarders are facing the axe in the summer.

Departures for Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Ederson feel increasingly inevitable; the same can be said for Grealish with the arrival of Omar Marmoush hammering another nail in his coffin.

Grealish has evolved at Man City, but a combination of Pep Guardiola-enforced shackles, injuries and the arrival of exciting upgrades make his situation look quite bleak.

Marmoush’s impressive debut against Chelsea leaves Grealish – who was already behind Savinho and Jeremy Doku – further cut adrift with a move to Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur or a Serie A giant (AC Milan, possibly) in his future.

                Marc Guehi
Off-field matters have impacted Guehi this season
after he was England’s star at Euro 2024. His performances have dipped, but he remains on the radar of the Premier League elite in the market for a new centre-back.

The 24-year-old is still one of the Premier League’s leading centre-backs and a tempting market opportunity for the Big Six will be on the table in the summer as he enters the final year of his contract.

In the summer, Newcastle United suffered disappointment in their pursuit of Guehi and the door is currently open for rivals to swoop; Chelsea look primed to take advantage.

Chelsea had their eye on Guehi before Trevoh Chalobah returned from his loan at Crystal Palace. This timely boost reduced their need for a centre-back this month, but the addition of a top-tier upgrade on their current crop will be a necessity in the summer. The England international could return to his boyhood club to play in front of whoever replaces struggling Robert Sanchez.

                Darwin Nunez
Some Liverpool supporters have called on FSG to be busy this month as they look to solidify their position atop the Premier League table, but they are yet to make a signing and this is unlikely to change before the window closes.

There has been much more noise regarding potential outgoings, though. Much of this speculation has surrounded Nunez, who has been the subject of interest from the Middle East.

Nunez justified Liverpool’s bold decision to reportedly snub a £70m offer for the underperforming forward with his match-winning brace against Brentford, but this will not be enough to secure his future at Anfield beyond this season.

A £70m sale would have been brilliant business for Liverpool, though you can understand why they felt this potential exit was not a risk worth taking as they pursue several trophies in Arne Slot’s first season.

Fortunately for Liverpool, suitors from the Saudi Pro League are unlikely to go anywhere. A move in the summer (albeit for a lower fee) should still be on the cards when the sun comes out as they cut their losses on Jurgen Klopp’s expensive mistake.

                Marcus Rashford
Despite doing very little actual business, Man Utd have dominated this window. This is largely thanks to Marcus Rashford’s bombshell exit statement.

Rashford may have expected elite clubs from across Europe to fall over themselves to sign him this month, but he’s f***ed himself with his poor performances and attitude over the past 18-plus months as interest has waned.

He’s garnered some interest due to his clear natural ability, but his huge salary is another testing obstacle to overcome as AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund have exited the race.

He wants Barcelona, but it’s hard to imagine him improving Hansi Flick’s first XI (at all) or squad (enough) to warrant the massive investment required to land him.

Reports in recent days indicate the chances of Rashford staying are increasing. This gives Amorim another headache unless the forward’s stinking attitude suddenly improves. Otherwise, he’s at risk of a few months of training with the kids before leaving for a non-elite club in the summer.

                Kieran Tierney
Injury-impacted Tierney has been left behind as Arsenal have rapidly ascended under head coach Mikel Arteta.

Like Emile Smith Rowe last summer, Tierney desperately needs a fresh start and opportunity to play regular football as his chances of playing consistently for Arsenal are over.

With the emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly and the summer signing of Riccardo Calafiori, Arsenal have nailed down the left-back position for a fair few years.

Tierney is out of contract in the summer (but is not among the 20 best footballers set to become free agents) and will be waiting until then to get a move, with Celtic holding off on signing their former player on a free transfer instead of for a small fee this month.

Rashford desperation shared by Man Utd teammate and Arsenal pair: Ten PL players with a week to escape

We all know who’s most desperate to seal a January exit in the last week of the window but Marcus Rashford won’t be alone in asking for frequent updates from his representatives, or dare we say refreshing Football365 in the hope of fresh insight into which club chiefs are flying where or which club has opened up, say, £325,000 worth of wage bill wiggle room.

Here are the ten players, including Mr Rashford, who have seven days to escape.

                  Marcus Rashford (Manchester United)
Ruben Amorim’s brutal response to the same old Rashford question may just have lit a fire under the Manchester United person or persons responsible for finding the wantaway forward a new club as they wonder just how far back through the club staff the manager is willing to go to make his Players Must Do The Maximum In Training point. Like goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital, Jason Wilcox could probably do a job (probably in with a shout of being the best left winger at the club now we think about it), but we’re less convinced by Omar Berrada as an impact substitute.

It always felt daft but the closer we get to deadline day the more stupid Rashford’s decision to publicly announce his desire for “a new challenge” becomes. After Kyle Walker screwed him out of a move to AC Milan and with Barcelona needing to get rid of players who don’t want to leave to sign him on loan, Rashford faces the reality of six months on the sidelines in his supposed prime years having suffered the ignominy of his BOMBSHELL announcement being met with little more than a shrug by the vast majority of the clubs with the ability and clout to sign him, and a cursory effort from a couple of them who looked at the first negotiation hurdle and thought F*** That.

                  Christopher Nkunku (Chelsea)
As someone who’s frequently told to “cheer up” both by strangers and my long-suffering partner as a purveyor of Resting B*tch Face we’re in clear Pot Kettle Black territory here, but surely, SURELY, my frown lines would be nowhere near so pronounced if I was playing Premier League football.

Resting Shock Face more likely, from me and everyone who’s ever seen me play football, and that would be far more palatable (great fun actually) than Nkunku’s expression when he plays for Chelsea, which isn’t so much one of frustration or anger – both reasonable emotions having started just three Premier League games this season – but complete and utter indifference, which is rather more difficult to stomach.

Chelsea would apparently be ‘tempted’ by a £70m bid from Manchester United or whomever else and we bet they f***ing would be given Nkunku’s played 43 games since signing for them for £52m 18 months ago. Could be brilliant for United in either of those two inverted forward roles, but then we would also definitely be saying that about Alejandro Garnacho if he was being linked with a move to Old Trafford rather than the exit door.

                  James McAtee (Manchester City)
It can’t have felt great that less than two weeks after being hailed as a “special talent” by his manager having scored a hat-trick against Salford City, McAtee was joining his Manchester City teammates in welcoming a £63m player into the dressing room as direct competition for his already frustratingly limited game time.

Bayer Leverkusen sensed an opportunity and were reportedly knocked back by City on Guardiola’s orders, but McAtee isn’t alone in struggling to see a way through to a regular starting spot in a team that’s barely featured him even when enduring their worst run of form in over a decade. It may well be time for a Cole Palmer-style ultimatum from McAtee.

                  Casemiro (Manchester United)
We’re a naive and idealistic bunch here at Football365 but we’re also not so green as to think a man taking home £350,000-per-week who’s at least two years beyond his prime would be willing to take a financial hit For The Love Of The Game, so his inclusion is essentially based around the assumption that he’s waiting for a Saudi Arabian area code to appear on his phone in the next week.

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly ‘insisting’ on his former Real Madrid teammate joining him at Al Nassr having signed his own extraordinary new contract, with Casemiro’s predicted wages falling some way short of Ronaldo’s absurd €3.8m a week but still a significant increase on his current packet.

                  Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal)
In the last six months Zinchenko has watched on as Arsenal spent £34m on a left-back, fast-tracked another through the academy and found a third eternally crocked rival for his position down the back of the sofa to ensure he plays as little football as possible.

If all three of Myles Lewis-Skelly, Riccardo Calafiori and Kieran Tierney featuring in the win over Wolves on Saturday wasn’t the final straw for Zinchenko as he watched from the bench then we are genuinely impressed by the depth of shame he’s willing to put up with.

Atletico Madrid are supposedly keen and that’s far less surprising than Mikel Arteta’s apparent dislike of a pretty decent footballer.

                  Timo Werner (Tottenham)
It’s not at all surprising after Ange Postecoglou openly berated him for his “unacceptable” performance for Tottenham against Rangers last month that Werner is angling for the exit, especially as his manager reneging on his promise a week prior of keeping such criticisms in house is just one of several examples of him losing the plot this season. It’s also hardly a shock to see him linked with a return to the fizzy drinks group.

It is though at least worth noting that his stock has fallen to the point where he’s not in talks with the best Red Bull or even the second best, but maybe the third? Less than four years on from starting and winning the Champions League final, at the age of 28, Werner is in talks to sign for New York Red Bulls, whose entire roster (sure, we know the lingo) is worth almost exactly half of what Chelsea paid RB Leipzig to sign Werner in 2020.

                  Evan Ferguson (Brighton)
No amount of Brighton bench-warming would be enough to dispel us of the notion that Ferguson is the answer to every Premier League team’s striker problem. Just like Manchester United when they were supposedly preparing a £100m bid two years ago, we were (and remain) entirely convinced as a result of a then (and still) meagre goalscoring record that this guy is Erling Haaland but better.

Roberto De Zerbi was wrong, so is Fabian Hurzeler and while we’re at it whichever other so-called coach in the future fails to recognise Ferguson as the second coming of Christian Vieri is too.

Graham Potter handed Ferguson his Brighton debut and we would be delighted to see him at West Ham, just as we’re sure every fan would be delighted to see him play for their club, unless like the aforementioned, they’re accustomed to getting things wrong.

                  Carney Chukwuemeka (Chelsea)
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s proposed exit is more in vogue by virtue of him being Enzo Maresca’s Man who’s already set to leave but Chukwuemeka’s need is greater.

The 21-year-old has featured for just 130 minutes all season compared to Dewsbury-Hall’s 934. Maresca said he wanted Chukwuemeka to leave on loan in the summer as he wanted him to “play 30 to 35 games”, which makes sense, but to not even include him in a single Premier League squad despite injuries in midfield and what has seemed to the casual or expert observer like decent displays whenever he has played for Chelsea makes no sense at all. He clearly doesn’t like something – or indeed many things – about him.

Juventus are thought to be keen having already completed the signing of Renato Veiga on loan, while West Ham are also in the mix.

                  Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)
We’re starting to feel as though Chilwell must have some deep, dark secret we don’t know about or did something horrible in a past life because we felt sure that having been captain of The Chelsea Bomb Squad for half a season the offers would have rolled in as soon as the January transfer window opened.

It’s been very quiet up until now, possibly due to the reasonable concerns of previously interested parties over his fitness and indeed whether he’s still any good at football. West Ham and Everton are the very predictable suitors currently linked with a guy who is equally likely to prove himself as Thomas Tuchel’s best option for the World Cup as he is to fail to start a Premier League game this season.

                  Jakub Kiwior (Arsenal)
Kiwior playing more football this season than he or anyone else expected and that still only amounting to 821 minutes is exactly why he needs to leave the club.

Arsenal have had to deal with significant injuries to Ben White and Calafiori, and yet Kiwior has only started two Premier League games. He’s been a victim of joining the club at the onset of Arteta’s great obsession with signing defenders, with Jurrien Timber and Calafiori usurping him since.

Man Utd transfer twist with ‘non-starter’ depends on one condition amid ‘dream scenario’ reveal

According to reports, Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Manchester United is a ‘non-starter’ unless there’s one change in the coming days.

The Red Devils are yet to make a January signing but they could make a couple of additions before the window closes at the start of next week.

Their priority is to sign a new left wing-back and a couple of potential targets are on their radar with one of their former players linked with a return.

Man Utd are also lacking in attacking areas and it has been suggested that they could bring in a new forward within the next few days.

Osimhen has consistently been on the radar of Premier League clubs in recent years, but he missed out on a move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window after Napoli made him available.

READ: Rashford tops ten Premier League outcasts who have seven days to escape

The Serie A giants attempted to usher Osimhen out of the door after he butted heads with clubs chiefs and Romelu Lukaku was signed as his replacement.

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain plotted moves for Osimhen, but they failed to complete a deal. This led the Nigeria international to join Turkish giants Galatasaray on loan as a short-term solution.

The 26-year-old has 16 goals and five assists in his 20 appearances for Galatasaray this season, but he’s not expected to make his move to the Super Lig leaders permanent.

It has been suggested that he could move to the Premier League this year and Man Utd have been offered a ‘discount’ on Osimhen if he is included in a swap deal with Alejandro Garnacho.

A report from ESPN claims Man Utd ‘would consider a move’ for Osimhen if his loan can be ‘transferred to another club’, though this deal is currently a ‘non-starter’.

‘Napoli would likely consider such a prospect only if it meant a permanent transfer. That would rule United out. With Osimhen under contract at Napoli until June 2027, and a reported release clause coming into play in the summer, there would be no inexpensive option to do a deal.

‘However, with Napoli rivalling Chelsea for United winger Alejandro Garnacho this month, creative negotiating could open up the prospect of a deal for Osimhen.

‘A permanent deal for Osimhen is not a priority for United, however. They simply need a goal scorer to get through until the end of the season, so unless Osimhen could be signed on loan — United bought out Wout Weghorst’s loan at Besiktas from Burnley two years ago — it’s a non-starter for United.

‘The dream scenario would be a loan move to United that sees him score 10-15 goals and earn a permanent deal at Old Trafford. The player would get a Premier League move, and United would get their genuine scorer.’

United plotting late swoop for record-breaking teenage attacker seeking a move before deadline day – report

Manchester United are reportedly considering a late move for Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel amidst uncertainty over the future of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho.

There remains a chance that Rashford will leave United before the close of the transfer window on February 3, having fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim.

Last Sunday’s win over Fulham marked the 11th successive game Rashford has missed for United. After the final whistle, Amorim told reporters that he’d rather play the club’s 63-year-old goalkeeper coach, Jorge Vital, ahead of Rashford.

Several suitors have come forward for Rashford but his mammoth wages, in excess of £300,000-a-week, are hindering any deal from getting over the line.

Garnacho on the other hand, is attracting heavy interest from Chelsea and Napoli. While Chelsea are contemplating making a bid for him, Napoli have already had at least one formal offer rejected by United.

The Argentine is believed to be open to departing Old Trafford amidst concerns over his role in Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 formation.

If Rashford or Garnacho leave, United will almost certainly need to replace them to ensure Amorim isn’t left short in the attacking department ahead for the rest of the campaign.

According to Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils are eyeing Tel.

The Sky Germany reporter wrote on X, “Understand Manchester United considering entering the race for Mathys Tel in the event of a departure of Alejandro Garnacho or Marcus Rashford.”

“… following Tel‘s decision to leave FC Bayern before Deadline Day.”

“Open race. But ManUtd and more teams are very well informed.”

It was Fabrizio Romano who broke the news that Tel has decided he wants to part ways with Bayern before the close of the winter transfer window.

🚨💣 EXCLUSIVE: Mathys Tel has just decided to leave Bayern in January!

Bayern and player side will assess all the options on the market.

Chelsea are also admirers of Tel, who became Bayern’s youngest-ever goalscorer when he opened his account for the Bundesliga giants at just 17 years and 126 days old.

So far this term, the 19-year-old has made 13 appearances across all competitions, registering just one assist in that period.
