He’s in brilliant form right now and it’s a pleasure to watch him play. Before Wednesday’s game, there were doubts about his availability due to injury.
Now we know more about the issue. According to The Times, Bruno has suffered a broken hand, which occurred during the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry. It’s crazy to think he almost single-handedly dragged his Reds to victory just a few days later.
Obviously, the article details the appreciation that the squad and manager had for Fernandes, playing through pain and putting his body on the line for the cause.
This is just another example of why Bruno Fernandes is an elite leader. He’s willing to die for the badge on his chest and this United side is lacking in players like our Portuguese Magnifico.
I understand this isn’t an injury that hampers play, but there’s a certain level of discomfort when dealing with a cast on your arm and trying to perform at a high level. To overcome that, score a couple of goals and lead the way in a must-win game deserves massive praise.
Bruno’s availability is partly why I love him so much. This guy literally never misses games due to injury.
