Manchester United’s official supporters’ club network has reached a new milestone, connecting Reds from around the world in their shared love for the club.

Wherever you are in the world, a United family is nearby!

Since January, the club has onboarded eight supporters’ clubs; including the Stretford Sikhs, Indonesia Bekasi, Panjabi Red Devils, Albuquerque Red Devils, Birmingham Alabama, Manchester United Supporters Team, and Guizhou.

Just this week, United has welcomed its first official Jewish Supporters’ Club, taking our thriving MUSC community to 330 supporters’ clubs across 90 countries.

The Jewish Supporters’ Club aims to bring together fans of shared faith and heritage and will play an important role in helping supporters feel connected to the club, both on and off the pitch.

The club continues to work alongside official supporters’ clubs to help provide a better experience for all fans at our stadia. We’ve already improved matchday experience for fans including the opening of an additional prayer space for fans of faith on the Old Trafford stadium footprint and a new post-match meet & greet zone for junior season ticket holders at Leigh Sports Village.

Whether it’s our longest-serving supporters’ club in Malta (who celebrated 66 years in February) or our newest club, the devotion shown by our official supporters’ clubs is unparalleled and enables Reds to connect with others wherever they are based. During our pre-season tour in the US, we connected UK travelling fans with local supporters’ clubs in Los Angeles, San Diego and South Carolina and our women’s supporters’ club met with our Maltese counterparts during the women’s team training camp.

There are many benefits to joining the supporters’ club family; exclusive Warm-Up social events, pitch-side legend presentations, unforgettable pre-season tour experiences, ticket allocations and Fantasy United leagues – to name just a few!

Rick McGagh, director of fan engagement, said:

“The passion and dedication of our global fanbase never ceases to amaze me. Whatever time of the day our games kick off, fans across the world are watching and cheering the team on. I am delighted to see our network of official clubs grow to 330, with our Jewish Supporters’ Club being our newest member.

“We have already seen the benefits of being able to work closely with our Muslim and Seikh official supporters’ clubs and we are looking forward to greater connection with our Jewish fans and community.

“I would encourage all fans to join a supporters’ club, and if there isn’t one in your area then get in touch and we can help you form one!”

For information on starting one in your area, please email musc@manutd.co.uk.

Man Utd ‘make’ shock transfer ‘decision’ after Chelsea hijack ‘blow’ with INEOS ‘talks’ underway on four strikers

According to reports, Manchester United have already ‘made a decision’ on signing a new wing-back after missing out on Geovany Quenda.

Head coach Ruben Amorim has faced huge difficulties at Man Utd since replacing Erik ten Hag at the end of last year.

Man Utd have arguably been worse under Amorim than Ten Hag as they sit 11th in our Premier League calendar year table. They need to win the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Amorim has struggled to implement his preferred 3-4-3 formation as his squad is not suited to this system. This makes this summer’s window particularly important for Man Utd, who were heavily linked with Quenda before he decided to join Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Wing-backs are vital to Amorim’s formation and Quenda shone on the right flank after the United boss handed him his senior debut for Sporting Lisbon.

READ: Ten reasons why this has been the worst Premier League season ever

The 17-year-old would have been the perfect long-term signing for Man Utd, but Chelsea hijacked the deal for two key reasons.

Having signed Patrick Dorgu in January to play at left wing-back, Man Utd need to add a right wing-back, but a report from GiveMeSport claims they are ‘reassessing their plans’ after the Quenda ‘blow’.

‘Manchester United are not seeking a direct alternative to Quenda after coming to terms with missing out in the race for his services.

‘According to GMS sources, the decision has been made to focus on landing an exciting talent who has similar attacking traits instead of finding someone who can feature in exactly the same position.’

‘GMS sources have been informed that Manchester United are expected to focus on bringing in another option boasting similar creativity to Quenda rather than an attack-minded wide man capable of being deployed at wing-back.

‘Manchester United’s failed pursuit of Quenda could result in Amad Diallo becoming more of a consideration on the right flank when he returns from injury ahead of next season, GMS sources have learned, even though there has been a desire to hand him an attacking midfield role after flourishing since the change of system.’

Man Utd also need to prioritise the signing of a new striker as they are in the relegation zone for Premier League forward options.

Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee would surely welcome a new signing and German journalist Floran Plettenberg has named four of their targets.

He said: “Manchester United are looking to strengthen their attack in the summer and are intensively scouting the market. Talks have already begun.

“From the Bundesliga, the Red Devils are closely monitoring Hugo #Ekitike and Benjamin #Sesko. Viktor #Gyökeres and Victor #Osimhen remain high on their list.”

Amorim considers surprising position change for United’s most exciting attacker – report

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is reportedly considering a tactical shift that could see Amad Diallo deployed as a right wing-back upon his return from injury.

The Portuguese manager is reassessing his plans after the club missed out on Sporting CP star Geovany Quenda, who is set to join Chelsea in 2026.

Amad, currently sidelined with an ankle ligament injury, was initially expected to feature in an attacking midfield role under Amorim.

However, GiveMeSport claim that the 21-year-old is now being seriously considered for the right wing-back position, which would allow him to take on greater defensive responsibilities while still utilizing his attacking flair.

The Ivory Coast international, who has been at Old Trafford since his £19 million move from Atalanta in 2021, signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract in January, securing a wage increase to £120,000 per week.

His long-term commitment to the club indicates a willingness to adapt to different roles if it means earning a regular starting spot.

The Red Devils had prioritized signing Quenda, viewing him as an ideal addition due to his attacking intelligence and technical ability.

However, Chelsea secured a pre-agreement worth around £42 million, leaving United to explore alternative solutions internally rather than immediately dipping back into the transfer market.

Amorim remains keen on strengthening United’s options in the final third, but rather than targeting a direct replacement for Quenda, he may instead look to maximise Amad’s versatility.

Diogo Dalot is competing for the right wing-back position, so Amad may face a new challenge as he adapts to an unfamiliar role.

The Portuguese tactician has expressed optimism about the Ivorian’s recovery and expects him to be available for selection before the end of the season.

With Amorim focused on squad optimization, Amad’s future could hinge on how well he adapts to this unexpected tactical shift.

Amorim’s perfect right wing back being seduced by Liverpool, Ineos must act fast – report

Manchester United wing back target Jeremie Frimpong is reportedly in constant contact with Liverpool boss Arne Slot.

United have seen the benefit of a specialised left wing back with Patrick Dorgu’s fine performances since arriving in Manchester in late January.

Therefore, Ruben Amorim is said to be keen to try and secure a signing of a specialised right wing back to bring balance to his 3-4-3 formation.

The Red Devils looked set to seal the signing of starlet Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP but it was announced last week that Chelsea had stolen the player from right under their noses.

The Bayer Leverkusen right wingback, Frimpong, has been linked to Old Trafford for a long time now and has been touted as a potential option this summer for Amorim’s men.

Hir former club Manchester City are also said to be chasing his signature but German paper SPORT BILD claim that it is in fact Liverpool that carry the biggest threat.

The outlet claims that should Trent Alexander-Arnold depart this summer, Frimpong would be an attractive option to fill the void left behind.

It is said that Slot “communicates regularly” with his compatriot Frimpong and that “the coach wanted the lightning-fast defender at the start of the season.”

Moreover, “Frimpong’s €40 million release clause shouldn’t pose an impossible task for Liverpool either – if money flows into the club’s coffers in the summer.”

Nonetheless if Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk “all leave in the summer without being able to collect a transfer fee, the situation at Liverpool will be different.”

In that case, a centre forward and a centre back would then become a bigger priority for the Anfield side to fill.

Frimpong has been an ever-present once again for Bayer Leverkusen playing 40 matches this season, scoring four goals and providing 11 assists from the wingback role.

United supporters group have “major concern” over Ineos’ latest deeply unpopular decision – report

The Manchester United Supporters’ Trust (MUST) have hit back at the club’s decision to raise ticket prices again next season.

The owners have already come under significant fire for raising ticket prices to £66 this season.

United supporters have already joined forces with rivals fans to protest the move and in a recent survey 97% of fans think these ticket hikes will alienate future generations of supporters.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has repeatedly defended the situation and confirmed that prices would even continue to rise next year.

Consequently, it was announced yesterday by the club that prices would increase as all categories are to suffer a rise of around £2.50 per game, except under-16s, where prices will be frozen.

MUST’s statement, carried by The Manchester Evening News, claimed that the increase is “less than many feared” but they are still “disappointed” by the call.

“For several months we have argued long and hard that the club need to look at the big picture and freeze ticket prices for next season.”

“Other clubs have done that already and at United it would have sent a powerful message about the need for everyone to pull together to get the club out of the very difficult position it finds itself in.”

They did admit that even though there was an increase, they believe the pressure put on the club though different protests and the media has ultimately forced them into a smaller rise than they probably previously planned.

MUST also commented that they were uncomfortable with the hikes in prices for non-season ticket holders for higher-demand games and they “call for a strict cap on the number of games that will be placed in the higher price categories.”

They described the whole categorisation model as a “major concern”.

“We also need to work to understand the detailed impacts of the seat moves and terms and conditions changes being made. In particular, we fail to see any justification for the increase in season ticket holder minimum usage requirement.”

They also claimed that any current changes need to be carried out with the “full consultation of those affected”.

United closing in on Spurs in bid to top the PL in this brilliant stat, fans will love it – report

Manchester United have suffered a multitude of injuries this season and it has only got worse as the campaign have progressed with plenty of names currently missing in action.

And the famed United academy has been a source of comfort for Ruben Amorim who has had to throw in academy stars into the mix as seen during United’s impressive 3-0 win against Leicester City on Sunday.

Harry Amass came on to make his first-team debut on his 18th birthday while Chido Obi was also introduced late on against the Foxes.

The full-back became the 253rd academy graduate to play for the United first team with Sunday’s squad also boasting Toby Collyer, who broke through this season.

Three Academy stars on show vs Foxes

Ayden Heaven started his first Premier League game at the King Power Stadium and looked a class apart during his 51-minute stay out on the pitch before succumbing to an injury.

As revealed by the club’s official website, the Red Devils rank second among English top-flight clubs for awarding minutes to teen stars this term.

The 20-time English league champions have played teen starlets for 2,129 minutes while Tottenham Hotspur, who have been equally ravaged by injuries, lead the way with 2,839 minutes.

The bulk of those 2,129 minutes have been shared between Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro, both of who are currently sidelined which just goes to show how much of a difficult situation the Portuguese tactician is having to deal with.

United 2nd in the list

The minutes could be set to increase given the extensive injury list. In fact, it could have increased significantly if Andre Onana had failed to pass a late fitness test.

Dermot Mee and Elyh Harrison were on the bench given Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton’s absence and could have started in between the sticks.

Last season, the three-time European winners finished on top of the same list with Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho leading the way in terms of minutes.

High-flying Bournemouth are third in the list, a mammoth 437 minutes behind. Southampton, Arsenal and Brighton round off the top six.

MOST MINUTES GIVEN TO TEENAGERS
Tottenham Hotspur – 2,839 (7 players)
UNITED – 2,129 (5)
Bournemouth – 1,692 (3)
Southampton – 1,566 (2)
Arsenal – 1,367 (2)
Brighton – 1,279 (2)

This towering £1m beast that’s bulldozing the league has given United exactly what they need to escape footballing hell – opinion

Over the years, Manchester United have become known for spending heavily on players who fail to meet expectations—a key factor in their current struggles. However, the signing of Ayden Heaven could signal a significant shift away from this troubling trend.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, United have spent in excess of £1.5 billion on recruits but despite this, the Red Devils have found regular silverware hard to come by. United haven’t lifted the Premier League title since the legendary Scot’s departure, leaving fans to settle for occasional cup triumphs – fleeting glimpses of a once-glorious era that now feels increasingly distant.

As co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has repeatedly pointed out since assuming operational control of the club, recruitment has been United’s biggest issue. In an interview that was released over the weekend, Ratcliffe slammed United’s track record in the market, particularly heaping the blame on former chiefs Ed Woodward and Richard Arnold for wasting resources on flops.

The INEOS billionaire also acknowledged that United lag significantly behind their rivals in data analytics, which has become a key factor in modern recruitment decisions.

Years of poor recruitment inevitably take their toll, and United are no exception. In their latest accounts, the club reported a net loss of £113 million, bringing their total losses to over £300 million in the past three years. As a result, difficult and painful decisions – most notably staff redundancies – have been necessary in an effort to restore the club to profitability.

But, even as United work to correct the mistakes of past years, they already possess a promising and sustainable blueprint—one that could save them millions in transfer fees while paving the way for both immediate and long-term success: Ayden Heaven.

United signed him from rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window for a modest £1 million fee. Unlike most new arrivals at Old Trafford, his signing didn’t generate much fanfare, largely because he had yet to make his mark in senior football and was relatively unknown to the fanbase. In some circles, the limited excitement surrounding his arrival stemmed more from the fact that United had managed to snatch him away from the Gunners.

Yet, Heaven has made just as much—if not more—of an impact as a seasoned professional would have. He has been imperious since stepping through the door.

The 18-year-old first caught the eye with an accomplished showing during United’s FA Cup exit at the hands of Fulham earlier this month, having come on as a substitute in extra time. He followed that up with another superb display against his former side Arsenal, coming on during the break in place of the injured Leny Yoro.

Ruben Amorim handed the youngster his first start for the club in last weekend’s 4-1 Europa League victory over Real Sociedad, and it was on this stage that Heaven truly announced himself to the world. Any lingering doubts about his ability were swiftly put to rest.

There was no surprise when his name was in the starting XI for Sunday’s meeting with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. Before his withdrawal after he sustained a serious-looking injury, Heaven was the pick of the bunch, towering head and shoulders above most of his senior and more experienced teammates.

It’s not just how dominant and strong he is defensively, the towering teenager is exceptionally good on the ball and has demonstrated a much-needed penchant for playing out from the back and helping his side maintain spells of pressure and possession.

A few days ago, Amorim said Heaven is “too relaxed” – big praise for one so young and still finding their way at this level.

After the final whistle against Leicester, club icon Wayne Rooney branded Heaven “a real coup” for United.

He truly seems the part and represents the exact profile of players United should be targeting moving forward – young, hungry and talented stars who are ready to take the next step in their very promising careers. Chido Obi is another one who falls into this category.

United have spent exorbitant sums on defenders, yet it’s their £1 million signing who looks like the best of the bunch.

That’s not to say the club should abandon big-money signings entirely, but—as Heaven has proven and will hopefully continue to – there is wisdom in identifying young talents and giving them the platform to show the world what they’re about and achieve great things.

It’s a low-risk, high-reward strategy that could go a long way in helping United overcome their current struggles, both on and off the pitch. Beyond saving on transfer fees, this approach would also help United cut down on the hefty wages typically demanded by the superstar signings they’ve grown accustomed to.

In Heaven, United have the ideal blueprint for the future. At the moment, we all wait with bated breath to learn the extent of his injury and how long he’ll be ruled out of action. Hopefully, he’s not sidelined for a lengthy period and is back doing what he enjoys as soon as possible.

Confirmation of Season Ticket prices for 2025/26

by

Communications Department

Monday 17 March 2025 16:55

Manchester United today confirmed its Season Ticket prices for the 2025/26 men’s team campaign, including a price freeze for under-16s.

All other Season Tickets will increase by around five per cent, which is an average of £2.50 per game.

The under-16 price freeze reflects the club’s commitment to preserving access to Old Trafford for our next generation of fans, following consultation with the Fans’ Advisory Board.

The increase for other categories aims to strike a balance between keeping tickets affordable for fans and keeping the club financially sustainable.

Omar Berrada, chief executive of Manchester United, said: “We appreciate the loyal and patient support of our fans, and particularly our Season-Ticket holders who represent the core of our match-going support base. We understand the importance of their backing for the team and have worked hard to come up with a pricing package that is fair and reasonable.

United CEO Omar Berrada says

“We have kept the increase to the lowest possible level and protected our youngest Season Ticket-holders from any rises, while ensuring the club remains financially strong enough to invest in improving the team.”

“After 11 consecutive years of price freezes, we increased prices by five per cent for the past two seasons and intend to do the same for next season to offset continued rises in operating costs. Prices remain significantly lower than a decade ago when adjusted for inflation, and at similar levels to peer clubs in the north-west of England.

“We understand that any price rise is unwelcome, especially during a period of underperformance on the pitch, and we listened carefully to the strong arguments put forward by the FAB in favour of a freeze. However, the club has decided that it would not be right to keep prices unchanged while costs rise and the club continues to face financial issues. We have kept the increase to the lowest possible level and protected our youngest Season-Ticket holders from any rises, while ensuring the club remains financially strong enough to invest in improving the team.

“Our overall strategy is to price tickets at levels that keep every seat filled for every game, maximising support for the team, and providing a variety of options for different fans, including concessions for our young and elderly supporters.”

In addition to the Season-Ticket pricing change, the following adjustments will also be made for the 2025/26 campaign:

– Introduction of game categorisation for match-by-match tickets (not applicable to Season-Ticket holders). More details on pricing and which games are in which category will be issued before the release of Premier League fixtures. For the avoidance of doubt, concessions will continue to apply to these tickets.

– The late listing of tickets for re-sale greatly impacts the ability for our Members to purchase tickets for the game. From next season, when fans wish to sell their ticket back to the club at late notice (within 14 days of the game), there will be a fee of £10 deducted from their refund. There is no fee for reselling prior to 14 days and the forwarding and donating to the MU Foundation options will remain unchanged.

– Minimum usage of a Season Ticket (which includes forwarding, donating to MU Foundation or reselling to the club) will increase by one game to a minimum of 16 out of 19 Premier League games.

– The age at which our ‘senior’ discount (25% off) is applied will now track the state pension age. This is currently 66 years old.

– All fans aged 66 or over will now receive a 25% discount (removing the inconsistency with some who previously received a 50% discount).

– Some of the general admission tickets directly adjacent to the home and away dugouts will be converted to hospitality seats, reflecting the high value of this unique location. We appreciate the disruption this will cause those fans who currently sit there and we will be contacting them individually to ensure a suitable alternative seat is found.

United CEO Omar Berrada says

“Our overall strategy is to price tickets at levels that keep every seat filled for every game, maximising support for the team, and providing a variety of options for different fans, including concessions for our young and elderly supporters.”

Season-Ticket holders will receive an email shortly detailing their renewal price. The deadline to renew for existing Season-Ticket holders is 18:00 BST on 16 May 2025.

Berrada concluded: “While they did not agree with all the decisions, we would like to thank the members of our FAB for their tough but constructive advice throughout the consultation process. We believe that, taken together, these measures represent a fair and balanced outcome for fans, while generating additional revenues to strengthen the club.”

United CEO Omar Berrada says

“We would like to thank the members of our FAB for their tough but constructive advice throughout the consultation process. We believe that, taken together, these measures represent a fair and balanced outcome for fans.”

In response, the FAB said: “We, the Manchester United Fans’ Advisory Board, strongly advocated for an across-the-board price freeze for 2025/26 season, one we felt was justified due to the current circumstances.

“While we did not get the freeze we argued for, we are relieved that the club was persuaded to limit the increases to the same percentage rise as recent seasons, and we are pleased they froze prices for our youngest fans.

“We also shared our concerns over policy changes and advised against any immediate changes without consultation including those to minimum usage, match categorisation, concessions and relocations. However, we welcome the club’s renewed commitment not to make any such future changes without consultation with fans including through MUST, FAB and the Fans’ Forum.

“We acknowledge that the senior leadership of the club, including Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Omar Berrada, made themselves available throughout the process and the club were well informed of fans’ feelings when making their decisions.”

“A real plus for my progression”: Ex-United wonderkid explains why he left Old Trafford for surprise destination

Manchester United underwent many changes during the January transfer window, both within the first team and the academy.

A lot of academy starlets left temporarily while a few also departed permanently with The Peoples Person relaying that Sekou Kaba was one of the promising starlets who left on a permanent basis.

The 17-year-old joined Championship side Cardiff City and will link up with their U21s. In an interview with Africa Foot, he revealed he had offers to join teams higher up in the Championship pyramid.

“Several clubs were interested in me, including Stoke City, Swansea City, and Norwich City. But after discussing it with my management team, we decided Cardiff was the best option.

Kaba had plenty of suitors

“And we have absolutely no regrets about this decision. It’s an ideal setting for a great experience and to progress.”

The versatile forward revealed that the Bluebirds offered him a quicker path to first-team football which is why he chose to join the Welsh side.

For most teams, he would start with the U18s given his age and relative inexperience but not in Cardiff.

“I chose Cardiff because it offers me a more direct path to the first-team. I’ll be playing with the U21s rather than the U18s, which is a real plus for my progression.”

Kaba ended his four-year stay with the Red Devils having made only three U18 appearances for the club, with one of them coming this season.

Cardiff provided the best project

He had joined from Derby County along with James Scanlon and Malachi Sharpe back in 2021. And while the duo have impressed, the Guinean failed largely due to injuries.

Cardiff represents a brand-new chance for him to restart his career in earnest with the club even laying out their plans with regards to his progression to the first-team eventually.

“Signing for Cardiff City was an incredible experience. The welcome was warm, and I immediately felt it was the perfect place for me.

“I had the opportunity to speak with the first-team director, who explained the club’s plan to me in detail. This reassured me of my choice, and I’m happy to be joining Cardiff. My goal is to work hard to continue improving.”

Which Reds are on international duty?

ManUtd.com reporter Adam Marshall at Old Trafford.

Monday 17 March 2025 16:00

There are 12 Manchester United players, as things stand, representing their countries at senior level during the international break.

Three of Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad are playing for Denmark – Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund.

Dorgu is available for the Reds again upon his return, after serving the final match of this three-game domestic suspension in the 3-0 away win at Leicester City on Sunday.

Hojlund heads into the two-legged UEFA Nations League quarter-final ties with Portugal in good heart, after notching his first goal of 2025 to open the scoring at the King Power Stadium.

Of course, Portugal have two United men in their squad for the fixtures – Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes, who combined for the third strike against the Foxes.

Matthijs de Ligt also has two last-eight matches in the competition to look forward to, after he was drafted into Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands squad. The centre-back, so impressive of late, appeared to pick up a knock at Leicester but soldiered on to help preserve a clean sheet.

The Dutch are taking on Spain in what should be an interesting contest.

England have home World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia, with Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Aston Villa, named in Thomas Tuchel’s first squad since taking charge.

James Scanlon, who was on the bench for the Europa League quarter-final second-leg win over Real Sociedad, will hope to add to his caps for Gibraltar, as they open their World Cup campaign against Montenegro and Czech Republic.

Elsewhere in Europe, Victor Lindelof‘s Sweden have friendlies with Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.

Further afield, Manuel Ugarte has World Cup qualifiers in the South American section, against holders Argentina and Bolivia.

In the African World Cup qualifiers, Andre Onana‘s Cameroon face Eswatini and Libya, while Noussair Mazraoui and Morocco meet Niger and Tanzania.

Best of luck to all our Reds representing their countries!

Matthijs de Ligt could be facing Spain with the Netherlands.
