Amorim wants Ten Hag signing “out now” after “losing patience”, eyeing former Chelsea ace as replacement – report

    amorim-wants-ten-hag-signing-“out-now”-after-“losing-patience”,-eyeing-former-chelsea-ace-as-replacement-–-report

Ruben Amorim has not been afraid to take ruthless calls since he took over Manchester United as seen from Sunday’s huge decision to leave out his team’s two top scorers.

Despite the absence of both Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, the Red Devils beat Manchester City in the derby while displaying a level of control not seen in recent years.

Since that game, the Mancunian has come out and declared that he is open to leaving his boyhood club with INEOS open to a sale should any sizeable offer be submitted.

The Englishman might not be the only high-profile star to make way with Fichajes claiming Andre Onana could also be on his way despite a strong start to the campaign.

    Onana out

The Cameroonian has pulled off a few stunning saves this season but mistakes have crept into his game in recent weeks as seen from his displays against Nottingham Forest and Viktoria Plzen.

And that has meant signing a new goalkeeper has become “one of the most urgent priorities” for the head coach who has not been impressed with what he has seen from the former Ajax goalie so far.

Amorim reportedly wants the Erik ten Hag signing “out now” after “losing patience” following his recent mistakes. He has “asked for a top replacement for January” with United looking at Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka.

The 25-year-old shot-stopper has been made “one of Amorim’s priorities” for the January transfer window with United prepared to “invest the €20m to sign him”.

    Bulka in

The Poland international had kept 18 clean sheets last season and is a former Ligue 1 winner with Paris Saint-Germain. Interestingly, he knows all about the Premier League having come up through the ranks at Chelsea.

United were linked with a move for Bulka in the summer as well but nothing materialised. But this time, Amorim has reportedly promised the Polish goalkeeper that he will be the “undisputed and instant starter” at the club.

The report needs to be taken with a pinch of salt as Amorim is unlikely to make such a drastic change in the winter. Maybe, a clearer picture will emerge next summer.

Not only Onana but reserve goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has also been linked with an exit and a major revamp in goal could be on the cards.

Club legend has reached out to his contacts to facilitate big-money move for United star keen on exit – The Athletic

      club-legend-has-reached-out-to-his-contacts-to-facilitate-big-money-move-for-united-star-keen-on-exit-–-the-athletic

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has reportedly reached out to his contacts in Saudi Arabia to inform them of Marcus Rashford’s availability.

Rashford has dominated headlines over the past few days, amidst suggestions that United are finally prepared to sell him.

It’s understood that United were open to receiving offers for him during the summer transfer window and this remains the case even as January approaches.

Rashford – who is struggling for form this season – has seemingly failed to impress new head coach Ruben Amorim and there is an acceptance that his time at Old Trafford is finally up.

The England international and teammate Alejandro Garnacho were left out of the matchday squad that beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad last weekend.

Amorim insisted that the pair’s axing was down to their failure to meet his standards across a number of key areas.

On Tuesday, Rashford spoke to journalist Henry Winter and revealed that he is open to leaving United in search of a fresh challenge.

A number of possible destinations have been suggested including Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and the Saudi Pro League.

However, it’s understood that Rashford’s options are limited due to a number of reasons including his hefty wages and poor form over the past few months.

According to The Athletic, PSG have “significantly cooled” their interest in Rashford. Barcelona can’t afford him and clubs in Italy do not consider him an ideal alternative.

The newspaper explains that Saudi Arabia is on the cards for Rashford and Ferdinand has already reached out to help facilitate such a transfer.

“A move to Turkey or Major League Soccer would perhaps be seen as premature for a 27-year-old of his ability and there are doubts over whether clubs in either could match Rashford’s salary.”

“Perhaps the only league where a move makes sense from that perspective is the Saudi Pro League. Rio Ferdinand, the former United defender, has alerted contacts in the Saudi Pro League to Rashford’s availability.”

“In his role as ambassador for the New Era Global Sports agency, Ferdinand has provided positive character references about Rashford.”

“People briefed on the matter in the Gulf state say Saudi clubs are being more selective in the players they target, however, and believing the stock of English talent has fallen, do not expect a market to emerge for Rashford for the time being.”

A previous report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United want £40million. However, Mark Critchley says that sources have played down such claims.

BREAKING: Marcus Rashford delivers presents to school, announces intention to leave Man United

        breaking:-marcus-rashford-delivers-presents-to-school,-announces-intention-to-leave-man-united

Fair to say there’s really only one story in town on this damp Wednesday morn. That’s right: Marcus Rashford visited a school and delivered some presents. Everything else is a footnote.

        A Winter’s Tale
You’re going to have to indulge Mediawatch here. We are painfully aware that we spend a large part of pretty much every edition complaining loudly about journalists pretending a footballer or manager has said something controversial or interesting or controversially interesting for clicks.

The brutal digs that are neither brutal nor digs. The subtle clues, the transfer hints, the silences broken. More recently, of course, we’ve welcomed the displaying of ‘true colours’ and the ‘speaking of volumes’ into the disingenuity fold. Rich Mediawatch fodder one and all. We’re not about to stop calling them out.

But what we do need to do today is now perform a guileless, grinding u-turn and draw attention to the way Henry Winter chose to break those Marcus Rashford quotes, which are genuinely and legitimately a huge story.

First, Winter chose to reveal them not on his own Substack or even to hawk them around the traditional media as a freelance, but in a massive long blue-tick Twitter post. That’s a very odd flex, but whatever. It’s not the main issue.

Remember, these are the Marcus Rashford quotes we’re talking about.

“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.

“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person.

“If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”

That really is a big deal. There is no subtle clue or transfer hint here. He says ‘when’ not ‘if’ and flat out says he’s ready to do it.

Everyone else has picked up on those quotes and done exactly what you’d expect.

Let’s rattle through some of the intros.

        The Sun go with:

MARCUS RASHFORD has admitted he is “ready for a new challenge” after being left out of the Manchester derby.

        In the Mirror we have:

Marcus Rashford has admitted that he’s ready a ‘new challenge’ amid reports that Manchester United have put him up for sale.

        The Star:

Marcus Rashford has confirmed he’s ready to take on a new challenge.

        The Daily Mail:

Marcus Rashford has revealed he is ready to leave Manchester United via an astonishing interview posted on social media site X.

        A formerly good football website:

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has admitted that he wants to leave his boyhood club after Ruben Amorim didn’t pick him for the Manchester derby.

        You get the idea.

So what intro did Henry give the story that inspired all of these?

Marcus Rashford had a day off today so he returned to his old primary school, Button Lane, south Manchester, and handed out 420 Christmas presents to all the pupils.

It’s brilliant. It’s the most local weekly paper intro imaginable, if local weekly papers were still a thing.

Winter’s not done there, though. He somehow gets through another 400 words across five chunky, waffle-heavy paragraphs before any mention of the quotes that now quite rightly dominate Wednesday morning’s football coverage.

It’s just magnificently and wilfully odd. It is the most buried a lede has surely ever been. Mediawatch is scratching its head desperately trying to puzzle it out. We can’t quite bring ourselves to believe Winter is so far out of the loop as to think the presents for local kids is the actual angle here.

The apparent naive innocence of it all must surely be false. This must be a carefully choreographed way for Rashford’s camp to get the news out there while trying to make sure he doesn’t emerge as the villain, with Winter a willing collaborator.

But it really is enormously f***ing weird to see quotes like that from a player of Rashford’s profile at a club of Man United’s profile being broken in the style of a local newspaper story from 1998 on a social-media platform that almost nobody any longer enjoys and whose original USP was its absolute insistence on brevity forcing everyone to get immediately to the point.

        Take aim
Of course, the sheer BOMBSHELL nature of those Rashford quotes was still never going to be enough. You might think that what he said is story enough for even the most rabid of click-hungry football media outlet, but that really is never going to be the case.

So while at one end we have Winter’s own bizarrely idiosyncratic delivery method, and then a huge middleground of broadly accurate reporting of the hugely newsworthy words, at the other end you get this from – surprise, surprise – the Mirror.

Marcus Rashford takes aim at Man Utd team-mates and promises transfer announcement

Of course, even by the intro they’ve magically managed to find room for the all-important word ‘former’, a word that shifts the meaning altogether from the headline’s very obviously intentional implication-by-omission of a rift with his current team-mates.

Marcus Rashford has promised ‘not to make a bad situation worse’ by leaving Manchester United under a cloud like some of his former team-mates.

        Honestly prefer Winter’s way.

        End game
And it’s not just Rashford’s own quotes that are being twisted despite already being plenty strong enough as they actually are.

The Mail give us this headline, in their trademark windbag style:

Paul Scholes declares ‘it’s THE END’ for Marcus Rashford at Man United and questions his choices on and off the field – amid fallout from his bombshell interview conceding he is ready to leave

        And a double-down intro:

Paul Scholes has shared that he believes ‘it’s the end’ for Marcus Rashford at Manchester United, just hours after the player announced his plans to leave the club in a bombshell interview.

        Actual Scholes quote:

“It feels like the end for him.”

These are the ones that boil our p*ss the most, we think. Because it’s still very strong, isn’t it? That’s still a perfectly solid line on which a story can hang – ‘Paul Scholes has said ‘it feels like the end’ for Marcus Rashford at Manchester United…’ – but they just can’t stop themselves sexing it up a bit.

Absolutely textbook ‘just hours’, though. Credit where it’s due.

        Oh Teddy, Teddy
Okay, we’re not saying we thought there wouldn’t be that much absolute bullsh*t around the Rashford BOMBSHELL. Of course there was going to be bullsh*t. There is always bullsh*t. But we did think that the strength of the actual lines from the actual people actually involved might manage to mitigate the overall levels of that bullsh*t at least a tiny bit.

Mediawatch has rarely felt like more of a sweet summer child.

This, from the Express, is perhaps the most egregious of all that bullsh*t.

Marcus Rashford valued at eye-watering £100m as Man Utd ‘agree on January transfer’

Now we know the Express don’t like weirdly long headlines quite as much as their Mail brothers and sisters, but it does seem a real shame that there wasn’t any space available at all to squeeze in a really quite significant caveat.

Because, you’ll be shocked to learn, Manchester United have not valued Marcus Rashford as £100m for a January transfer as so heavily implied here. The far less exciting and pithy but indisputably more honest headline for that story is in fact this:

Marcus Rashford valued at eye-watering £100m by Teddy Sheringham as Man Utd ‘agree on January transfer’

Marcus Rashford to leave Man Utd: Where next for wantaway striker?

          marcus-rashford-to-leave-man-utd:-where-next-for-wantaway-striker?

So Marcus Rashford says he wants to leave Manchester United…

The academy graduate reckons the time has come for ‘a new challenge’ after a fraught period for the player and his club.

Rashford’s attitude and commitment has been questioned and Ruben Amorim’s arrival has coincided with the No.10’s reluctance to work on putting his career back on track with his boyhood club.

Amorim says United ‘are better with Rashford’ but there seems little chance of redemption following his words to Henry Winter.

The big question now: where next for Rashford?

Who can afford the wages he’s being paid at United, and is there a club who could pay what the Red Devils might expect to sell in January? Will it be a loan exit initially?

We’ve made a case for each of the Premier League big-hitters, but there is also a suggestion that Rashford would prefer a move abroad.

The day after Rashford’s revelation, these are the bookies favourites to take him. Where will the striker go next?

Of course, it wasn’t always like this between Rashford and United.

As an academy graduate, it’s damning on all parties that a parting now looks inevitable. Remember when he made his Premier League debut, back in 2016, when Louis van Gaal hit the deck in front of Arsene Wenger?

Reckon you can recall Rashford’s team-mates on his top-flight bow?

Amorim confirms midfield star who started the Manchester derby is out of Carabao Cup quarter-final clash vs Spurs

            amorim-confirms-midfield-star-who-started-the-manchester-derby-is-out-of-carabao-cup-quarter-final-clash-vs-spurs

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Mason Mount will not be available for selection during Thursday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash against Tottenham Hotspur, while there are also question marks over Noussair Mazraoui’s availability.

Mount started last weekend’s comeback win over Manchester City at the Etihad but he was on the pitch for only 15 minutes before he was forced off with an injury.

The England international hit the ground and could clearly not carry on any further. He was replaced by Kobbie Mainoo.

Mount headed straight down the tunnel for further assessment of his issue. The severity of the problem remains unclear at the moment.

Sunday’s derby was just Mount’s 32nd appearance in a United shirt since he joined in the summer of 2023 from Chelsea.

He has directly missed 37 games through injury over the past year and a half.

Meanwhile, Mazraoui managed 78 minutes of action at the Etihad before being taken off for Antony. Mazraoui was later spotted leaving the Etihad while limping.

Ahead of United’s meeting with Spurs tomorrow, Amorim gave updates on Mount and Mazraoui.

The United boss said [via club media], “Mason Mount is not available.”

“He has an injury. Nous, we will see today. The rest of the squad are ready to play the game.”

“We have to assess all the players and try not to get a lot of injuries. If we do that, we’ll be stronger in these kind of moments.”

According to Manchester Evening News, Mazraoui has recovered from the knock he sustained against City and he rendezvoused with teammates for the journey to London on Wednesday afternoon.

Confirmed United squad members include Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Manuel Ugarte, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Christian Eriksen, Kobbie Mainoo, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Joshua Zirkzee, Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo.

United “negotiating a swap deal” involving star Amorim wants gone and long-term Ten Hag target – report

              united-“negotiating-a-swap-deal”-involving-star-amorim-wants-gone-and-long-term-ten-hag-target-–-report

Manchester United are reportedly in talks with Barcelona about a swap deal involving Marcus Rashford and Frenkie de Jong.

Rashford has dominated headlines in the past few days, amidst suggestions that United are ready to sell him either in January or during the summer transfer window.

It’s believed that United think Rashford’s time at the club is up and they want to part ways with him in an effort to offload his massive wages from the books.

In an interview released on Tuesday, Rashford admitted that he’s open to departing Old Trafford in search of a new adventure.

Barcelona has been mentioned as a possible destination for the Carrington academy graduate and now, reports from Spain [via Football365] claim that United are in talks with the Blaugrana regarding a swap deal involving De Jong.

De Jong is a player United have been interested in since Erik ten Hag’s arrival in 2022 and it appears that the Dutch player is still on their radar.

United are apparently “negotiating a swap deal” involving Rashford and De Jong ahead of the January transfer window.

The Red Devils are showing “great interest” in De Jong, who has somewhat fallen out of favour under the management of Hansi Flick.

Barcelona are “working on finding a solution” for their highest-paid player.

The report adds that Amorim “still believes that De Jong could be an interesting addition to the midfield.” The United head coach “wants” Rashford to “leave” and the forward “has been offered” to Barca president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco “as a bargaining chip.”

It’s however important to take these suggestions with a pinch of salt until they’re verified by more reputable sources. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that Spanish media have jumped the gun when it comes to United-related transfer news.

Earlier today, Amorim insisted that he’d love to keep Rashford, with his main focus being to help the 27-year-old find his best form.

United are back in action on Thursday when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup.

Man Utd: Rio Ferdinand reveals Rashford ‘killer’ as bombshell method raises ’emotion’ doubts

                man-utd:-rio-ferdinand-reveals-rashford-‘killer’-as-bombshell-method-raises-’emotion’-doubts

Rio Ferdinand has revealed what he believes is “the killer” for Marcus Rashford at Manchester United and questioned the forward’s method of delivering his bombshell announcement.

Ruben Amorim left Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho out of his 20-man squad to face Man City as Man Utd won 2-1 in the Manchester Derby on Sunday.

And on Tuesday Rashford told journalist Henry Winter in an interview that he is ready to leave Man Utd for a “new challenge”.

There have already been rumours that he could move to Barcelona in a swap deal for Frenkie de Jong, while his preference is understood to be Spain.

After seeing Rashford’s comments, Ferdinand says that he’s been disappointed with Rashford’s body language and also questioned his decision to reveal the news through a written interview rather than appearing in a video, say on a YouTube channel…

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand said: “I don’t think this is just a football decision for Manchester United, there is more to it.” He added: “You have to remember that when this kid came onto the scene, he was an absolute breath of fresh air, he was a joke. Again, the body language when he came in, was what every fan saw themselves being if they came in.

READ MORE: Marcus Rashford leaving Man Utd: A case for the Premier League Big Eight

“That’s been the biggest killer for me, that his body language, for the last three years, has not been what a Manchester United fan sees himself being in a Manchester United red shirt when a goal goes in or when they step foot out onto Old Trafford. His body language has been almost depressive, a recluse like body language.

“The fans are meant to see academy products and see themselves there and anyone who thinks they are going to get a chance to play for Manchester United, at any level in the first team, should be beaming. It’s that privilege to step out of there in that red shirt on the regular.

“Marcus has said that but his body language hasn’t said that, that has been the killer for me. I hope this ends well and everyone goes out and leaves this situation without any cuts or bruises. Marcus’ ego might have a few bruises, but he has a chance to rebuild himself.”

Is he saying that and feeling that emotion? That’s what video content does for us nowadays and when we have that at our disposal, why not use it?”

                  man-utd-insider-claims-rashford-is-set-for-more-‘disciplinary-action’-as-amorim-‘owes-him-no-loyalties’

Marcus Rashford could be set to miss out on more matches for Man Utd as Ruben Amorim is told to continue to make “an example of him”.

Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho were dropped by Amorim for their 2-1 win over arch-rivals Man City on Sunday as the Man Utd boss insisted the Red Devils must “improve our standards”.

There had already been reports that week that Rashford could be sold in the January transfer window with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain among the clubs reportedly interested.

Man Utd boss Amorim insisted that leaving Rashford and Garnacho out was down to five things but he seemed to hint that they had not been training as expected.

Amorim said: “We try to evaluate everything – training, performance, game performance, engagement with the teammates, push the teammates up.

“Everything is on the line when we analyse and try to choose the players, so it was my selection. Simple. I don’t want to send a message (to the dressing room with this). It’s simply an evaluation, and they know it.

“The players are really, really smart and so everybody understands my decision and I have to choose. It’s just a simple selection. Of course the context is difficult – we have to win games and we have a difficult situation now.

“But, like I said, I pay attention to everything – the way you eat, the way you put on your clothes to go the game. Everything. I make my evaluation and then I have to decide. I have a lot of players to choose (from) and today I did my choice.”

And Football Insider insists that Rashford faces more ‘disciplinary action’ with former Man Utd scout Mick Brown – who is still well-connected at the Premier League club – claiming Amorim “needs to stick to his guns” after making a “brave call”.

Brown told Football Insider: “This has happened on far too many occasions now. Questions have been raised his commitment to the club and his performances as a result.

“Managers have been loathed to leave him out because he’s a fans’ favourite and local boy. But it can’t keep going on like that, if he’s not performing then he’s not performing.

“You hear things in the news about him going out clubbing and trips to Ireland or America or wherever, and you have to ask whether its affecting his training.

“Amorim is in the best position to deal with it, because he’s only just come to the club and he owes him no loyalties so if that stuff is true, it will be addressed.

“Then, if he’s made an example of him by leaving him out against City, then good on him. He needs to stick to his guns because it’s a brave call to make.

There was “no sign” of Marcus Rashford amid the travelling squad for Manchester United as the Red Devils head to London for tomorrow night’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Samuel Luckhurst (ManUtdMEN) reveals Rashford was “absent” from the ensemble of United players travelling to the capital as questions over the 27-year-old’s future at Old Trafford continue to swirl following his blockbuster interview yesterday.

Rashford was omitted from the matchday squad for the Manchester Derby on the weekend, alongside fellow winger Alejandro Garnacho, with head coach Ruben Amorim explaining his decision to drop the pair in his post-match interview following the dramatic 2-1 win.

Amorim revealed: “It is important to say why [Rashford and Garnacho were dropped], it was not a disciplinary thing. Next week, next game new life, they are fighting for their places.”

“But for me it is important the performance in training, the performance in games, the way you dress, the way you eat, they way you engage with your teammates, the way you push your team-mates. Everything is important in our context in the beginning of something when we want to change a lot of things, when people in our club are losing their jobs, we have to put the standards really high.

“For that, they have to fight for their place in the team and today the team we proved we can leave anyone outside the squad and manage to win if you play together.”

“I’m going to say again it was not a disciplinary thing. It’s the small details. You can see the games like I see, there are some things that have to change. But it is a new life, it’s not a disciplinary thing, it’s the performance in training, the performance in game and then I have to change, to choose players.

“If it was disciplinary, I would say that here and it will be a bigger problem but it was not that. It was just that I want to improve my players and you understand that for so long, for example with Rash, we tried a thing and it doesn’t work. Let’s continue to do the same thing or try something different?”

“So it’s as simple as that. If they train well with the talent they have we will be so much better with them. Both of them. But they have to work hard, they do, today they trained really hard so it’s a good thing. New week, new life, let’s see the next one.”

And while Garnacho has been confirmed to have been reinstated into the squad for tomorrow night’s quarter final at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, Rashford’s absence will continue, Luckhurst reveals.

Tweet: “Alejandro Garnacho travelling with the #mufc squad to Tottenham. No sign of Marcus Rashford as squad left Manchester.”

Speaking this morning about the game and the prospect of the two wingers being recalled, Amorim stated, “We have one more training. But it’s the same situation of all the other players. If they train well then I have to make a choice. We will see see at the end of training.”

“Of course [I expect a reaction]. I expect the best of each player every day so we will see after training.”

Yesterday, journalist Henry Winter released an interview with Rashford revealing the 27-year-old was open to a departure from his boyhood club as he was “ready for a new challenge“.

And while there was a refreshing honesty to Rashford’s words, it appears unlikely they constitute the “reaction” his new head coach would have been demanding following last weekend’s dropping. Amorim did stress in today’s press conference that United were “better with Marcus Rashford“, but the fact the winger has again not been included in the matchday squad underlines this further.

In a more positive update, Noussair Mazraoui, who sustained a knock in the win over City on Sunday and was considered a risk, has “recovered” and travelled with his teammates to London.

                    The confirmed United squad is:

Onana, Bayindir, Heaton, Dalot, Mazraoui, Yoro, De Ligt, Maguire, Lindelof, Evans, Martinez, Malacia, Ugarte, Casemiro, Fernandes, Eriksen, Mainoo, Antony, Garnacho, Zirkzee, Hojlund, Amad

Manchester City are preparing to avenge their latest derby defeat at the hands of Manchester United by pouncing for a long-term target for the Red Devils.

Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite was a target for INEOS last summer, with the Toffees rejecting two bids from the Old Trafford side, holding on for an unrealistic fee which never arrived.

The Merseysiders have tried to sign the England international to a new deal but so far, the centre-back has refused to sign on the dotted lines and United have been rumoured to be eyeing another move in the New Year.

However, TBR Football have claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side are now ready to battle United for the Englishman following their recent disastrous run of form.

                      Battle on for Jarrad

City have won only once in the last 11 games and their defence has crumbled time and again under pressure, as seen during United’s stunning late comeback win last Sunday.

Described as a “really special” talent, City have identified Branthwaite as the perfect addition owing to his ability to play in multiple positions at the back and his strong left foot.

Apart from both Manchester sides, Chelsea and Arsenal have also been credited with interest in the “monster” and interest will only rise as the summer approaches.

“Sources have informed TBR Football that Manchester City are now considering a move to sign a player Manchester United admire in 2025.

“Now – however – TBR Football understand Manchester City could move to sign Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton in the New Year in a bid to turn their fortunes around.

                      Who will sign Jarrad?

“The Friedkin Group – who are soon to be owners of Everton – hope their ambitions for the future will persuade the central defender to stay, but interest from England’s elite clubs is growing in the meantime.

“TBR Football understand Manchester United are long-term admirers of Branthwaite, while sources also tell us that Arsenal and Chelsea rate the man born in Wigton highly.”

He is highly-rated but against United, Branthwaite crumbled under pressure, committing a few huge errors which might signify an end to United’s interest.

INEOS are clearly targeting young talents with Premier League experience and it will be intriguing to see where he lands up next summer.
