United lock horns with Liverpool for red-hot PL forward, INEOS already in “secret” talks with his club – report

Manchester United face mounting pressure to agree a deal for AFC Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi before their fiercest rival strikes first, according to a new report. Eyed by Europe’s Elite Kroupi, 19, has enjoyed an outstanding debut campaign at the Vitality Stadium, finishing as the Cherries’ top scorer with 13 goals – more than double his strike partner, Evanilson. A superb strike in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City last night earned his side their first ever European qualification spot and delivered the Premier League title to Arsenal. It also meant that the France under-21 international, who recently turned down a chance to represent Portugal, is now the top-scoring teenager in Premier League history in their debut season. But it is not simply his prowess in front of goal which has put Europe’s elite, including United, on red-alert. Rather, it is his all-round play, capable of thriving right across the frontline as a multi-purpose attacking threat, which has truly caught the eye. The Red Devils are closely monitoring the Lorient native as they hunt for attacking reinforcements ahead of next season’s return to the Champions League. A left-winger and a more reliable No.9 than Joshua Zirkzee to support Benjamin Sesko are both priorities – with Kroupi’s versatility offering a solution in both positions. Scouts have delivered glowing reports after being dispatched to the south coast to watch the French starlet in action. The player himself is understood to be open to a switch to Old Trafford, though Bournemouth are determined to keep hold of their prized asset this summer. However, there is also major interest from top sides inside and outside of England, with Sports Boom revealing Liverpool are now ready to “step up their pursuit”. Liverpool enter the race The report states the Merseyside club are preparing to make their move as Dutch manager Arne Slot has “personally identified” Kroupi as a priority target. “Sources indicate the Dutchman has personally identified Kroupi as a player capable of becoming one of the Premier League’s standout attacking stars. Slot has been closely monitoring the youngster’s progress and sees him as a talent with enormous potential and a player who could thrive within Liverpool’s attacking system.” But Aston Villa are also understood to be “firmly in the picture” as Unai Emery’s side angle to find a potential replacement for Morgan Rogers, who has been strongly linked to United. Were the 23-year-old England international to leave, Villa would suddenly have “both the funds and the need to move decisively in the market.” Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are also believed to be in the race for Kroupi, while there is interest from the continent in the form of Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. The fact that virtually every top side in European football is “scrambling for position” to secure the next outstanding attacker tells you everything you need to know about the Bournemouth wonderkid’s sky-high potential. Final Thoughts It would be a masterstroke if INEOS were able to fend off competition to secure Kroupi’s signature this summer. He would offer an enormous upgrade on Zirkzee, while retaining the versatility to play alongside Sesko as much as in the Slovenian’s stead. But the fact that it will undoubtedly require a club-record fee for Bournemouth to sell the latest red-hot product from their production line means United are unlikely to be able to stump up the funds needed to do so. However, a report relayed by The Peoples Person/em> claimed INEOS held a “secret transfer meeting” with the Cherries last week, sparking fresh hope a bombshell transfer may be in the works after all. “Crazy money”: Roy Keane outlines how much United should really pay for red-hot PL warrior

Manchester United’s quest to sign a capable replacement for the outgoing Casemiro has seen them heavily linked with Elliot Anderson in recent months. The Nottingham Forest midfielder gave an impressive demonstration of his abilities last weekend at Old Trafford. While the West Bridgford club suffered a 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Red Devils, Anderson stood out, setting up both goals and dominating the midfield. The 23 year old has already displayed attributes that make him a fantastic successor to Casemiro at the Theatre of Dreams. The Brazilian played his last game at Old Trafford last weekend and will leave as a free agent this summer. Recent reports have suggested that United are eager to sign Anderson to fill his boots. It was previously reported that Forest would demand in excess of £100 million to let their prized asset leave this summer. Former Red Devils skipper Roy Keane, however, feels that the player is not worth such an exorbitant fee. Roy Keane says Anderson worth £60-80m Keane recently sat down with fellow United legend Gary Neville and Arsenal icon Ian Wright on the Stick to Football podcast to discuss Anderson. Neville was of the opinion that the Red Devils should go all out for the English midfielder. However, Keane begged to differ, insisting that his former club should not pay more than £80 million for the Englishman. He said: “You [Gary Neville] say all out for him. Well, look, £70million [to] £80million.” “I know. Yeah, I’d understand that. Yeah, but if you’re talking about £100m or £125m, all that crazy money, I’d be like, ‘Hold on a second.’ But if you’re talking about £60m or £70m, yeah, you’d have to be you’d have to be interested in him.” Neville recently stated that Anderson would be the ideal replacement for Casemiro at the Theatre of Dreams. Wright wants United to sign Anderson Wright, however, was of the opinion that United should pay whatever is needed for Anderson, pointing out that Carrick has to be backed with the right players in the market. He said: “Man Utd should go try and make sure that they get him. Especially with… It’s exciting now with Michael [Carrick] signing and everything. Good luck to him [Carrick] and that, but if they get it right with the right players, United…” “What, you want to pay for him? If you’re Utd and you needed that kind of midfield for so long and Man City are trying to take him off you, then you’ve got to go where you’ve got to get him. I’d pay for him. I’d pay for him.” Anderson has registered four goals and five assists in 49 appearances across competitions for Forest this season, 44 of which have been starts. Final Thoughts Pep Guardiola’s impending departure from Manchester City could provide United with an advantage in the race for Anderson. The Red Devils should take that opportunity with both hands, because Anderson’s possible arrival at Old Trafford could have an impact akin to Declan Rice’s at the Emirates. Trio of United women’s stars called up for England duty after sensational recent performances

It has been a difficult and disappointing season for Manchester United Women. Their campaign petered out with an underwhelming 1-0 loss to Chelsea, resulting in a fourth-placed finish in the Women’s Super League. Additionally, the Red Devils also crashed out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, suffering defeat at the hands of German giants Bayern Munich. Marc Skinner has come under scrutiny for his team’s performances across the season and his poor win rate. It was a season that saw the mighty Reds win only 11 of their 22 Women’s Super League fixtures. Still, the summer is always an exciting time for the football club, with transfer rumours beginning to swirl and international matches to be played. The England Women’s squad was recently announced for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Spain and Ukraine and, in news that will surely be music to the ears of all fans of the Red Devils, three United players made the cut. Maya Le Tissier While it was not a successful season for the United team collectively, certain individuals within the group produced quality, reliable performances across the season. One such player is central defender Maya Le Tissier, who played in every Super League game of the season. Le Tissier has been a rock at the back for the Red Devils, leading the back line with authority and tenacity. Her defensive positioning has been characteristically excellent, and her aerial prowess is a threat in both boxes, with the 24-year-old managing one goal and two assists across the season. Le Tissier will be hoping to add to her 13 international caps and work towards cementing her position in the starting 11, filling the void left due to Millie Bright’s retirement. Jess Park Jess Park has established herself as a key member of Skinner’s squad since arriving from United’s sky blue Manchester rivals in September. The right winger adapted to the demands of playing for United exceptionally well, starting all but three of the team’s Super League fixtures. It did not take long for Park to showcase her creativity and attacking flair. She scored and assisted in just her third game for United, helping the team achieve a commanding victory against the London City Lionesses. Across the season, Park chipped in with six goals and five assists, earning the privilege of wearing the number eight shirt. Park will be hoping to add to her 25 caps and five goals, though she will have her work cut out as England’s forward line is brimming with talent. Here’s hoping Park can replicate her United form while representing her country. Ella Toone Ella Toone missed a significant chunk of the Super League season after suffering a hip injury that ruled her out for over three months. Toone returned to the team in April, picking up vital minutes that assured England head coach Sarina Wiegman that she was capable of making an impact on international duty. Despite her time in the treatment room, Toone still enjoyed a fairly solid season. Despite being limited to just 14 appearances, the England international managed to chip in with three goals and five assists. Toone has been a regular for England in recent years, playing a key role as Wiegman’s side claimed a second consecutive European Championship last summer. Across 68 international appearances, Toone has scored a seriously impressive 24 goals and she will surely be hoping to add to that tally in the upcoming qualifiers. Paul Scholes names his three “realistic” midfield targets as he flags worrying Carrick concern

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has named the three “realistic” midfielders he thinks the club has a chance of landing this summer, while also pinpointing his major concern with Michael Carrick’s imminent appointment. Midfield hunt Heading into the summer transfer window, United are prioritising midfield reinforcements. Casemiro’s time at the club has come to an end but he is not the only midfielder who is on his way out. There have also been strong suggestions that Manuel Ugarte’s exit is firmly on the cards, having struggled to make an impact since his move from Paris Saint-Germain. A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United are prepared to fork out in excess of £150m on bolstering their options in the middle of the park. The Red Devils could sign as many as three midfielders, with the likes of Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba and Ederson on their radar. Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, Scholes named Anderson, Tonali and Wharton as his three “realistic” targets, but fears that Anderson could be bound for Manchester City instead. Scholes said, “There’s three: Adam Wharton, Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson.” “The only thing I think about Elliot Anderson, I’ve got a feeling Manchester City might go for him.” “Obviously City are going to be losing Bernardo Silva as well.” Carrick concern Scholes has consistently been one of the strongest voices against Carrick’s appointment on a permanent basis, despite the pair playing together for many years in the past. However, Carrick is set to carry on beyond the end of the campaign after masterminding an incredible turnaround. Last week, Fabrizio Romano revealed that everything is in place for him to remain in the Old Trafford hot seat. Addressing Carrick’s situation, Scholes remarked, “This job changes now for him. It’s still a big job now but now it’s real, he’s got trophies to go for, he’s got to try and get them close to winning the league and that will come from expectation.” “I don’t know what United will expect, the expectation has to be tapered a little bit. Can we win the FA Cup? Can we win the Carabao Cup? Can we get second or third in the league?” “You have to remember that this is Manchester United. They expect everything, they expect the world. He continued, “I know they’ve done great, don’t get me wrong, but a lot of the games, they’re still conceding a lot of chances. They’re still conceding a lot through the middle of the pitch and sometimes those games can go 50-50. Now, if they start again with pretty much a similar team then I’d be concerned.” United are next in action on Sunday when they go away to Brighton & Hove Albion in their final game of the 2025/26 season. Elliot Anderson was the standout midfielder in his Manchester United audition at Old Trafford over the weekend. The Nottingham Forest talent impressed with his physicality and attacking instincts in Manchester, assisting both of his side’s goals with pin-point crosses. After the full-time whistle, Gary Neville urged his former club to sign Anderson. However, a report suggests, United could be forced to look elsewhere for their marquee midfield signing. Sandro Tonali more realistic target for Manchester United According to talkSPORT, Nottingham Forest may be resigned to losing Elliot Anderson, but they are unlikely to make it a straightforward path for his suitors.  Firstly, United face strong competition from Manchester City for the England international. The report further states: “Figures of £100million have been mooted as a potential transfer fee for the former Newcastle academy graduate, and that could spell the end for United’s interest before an approach for the player was even made.” talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent Alex Crook believes United would be better suited turning their attention to Sandro Tonali. A cheaper option It is suggested Tonali is determined to leave Newcastle United, having made his intentions clear since January.  “He (Tonali) wants out of Newcastle he’s wanted out since January, that’s why we had that story come out on Transfer deadline day that he’d been offered to Arsenal,” Crook said. United are believed to be interested in the Italian midfield dynamo. Furthermore, the 26-year-old is expected to be “cheaper than many of those names on their list, certainly cheaper than Elliot Anderson.” Tonali is an exceptional athlete who likes to carry the ball and burst forward. However, he lacks Anderson’s vision and composure to dictate the tempo of play. A host of top European clubs are expressing interest in signing Manchester United fullback Diogo Dalot this summer, according to new report. Scapegoat or Standout? Despite being something of a scapegoat amongst United fans, Dalot remains a highly-rated player at Old Trafford, as well as for the Portuguese national team. The 27-year-old is prone to mistakes and his technique can often be wildly inconsistent, drawing ire from supporters. But he possesses a unique blend of physical attributes, is rarely injured, and is capable of playing on both sides of defence. The Braga native is also understood to be an excellent presence in the dressing room, having formed part of Ruben Amorim’s six-man leadership team – a role he has maintained under Michael Carrick – and is known for his professionalism and work rate. Interestingly, United have not lost a game this season in which Dalot has started at right-back, with much of the frustration levelled at him stemming from him being deployed out of position at left wing-back under Amorim. Carrick has restored him to his favoured position, with an immediate upturn in performance. The 44-year-old Englishman, who is set to become permanent head coach after his impressive interim spell, has internally communicated his wish for Dalot to remain at Old Trafford amid growing interest from abroad. Eyed by Europe’s Elite A report relayed by The Peoples Person revealed Real Madrid were plotting a summer swoop for the Portugal international as Jose Mourinho, the manager who signed him for United and is set to take over at the Santiago Bernabeu, remains a big fan. TEAMtalk confirms the Spanish giant is interested, but drops a bombshell that rivals FC Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the situation. The Catalonians are said to be “seriously considering” Dalot as an option should a deal for Joao Cancelo fail to come to fruition, though the relationship with United is far from ideal with fraught negotiations between the two clubs yet to yield a breakthrough for Marcus Rashford to remain at Camp Nou. Bayern Munich round off the triple threat of European heavyweights with interest in Dalot. The Bundesliga champions are “firmly in the market for a new right-back” as they want a “more natural long-term solution” than playing midfielders, such as Konrad Laimer, out of position. However, United are “not looking to force Dalot towards the exit door”, with TEAMtalk instead revealing the club are open to the prospect of a contract extension on improved terms. His current deal expires in 2028, with the option for another year. Carrick is understood to have given Dalot his full support to the hierarchy, making it clear “he does not want the club to entertain any possibility” of a sale this summer. The right-back is considered one of his “most trusted performers.” Final Thoughts An interesting point to consider is Dalot’s book value, which will sit at zero after his £19 million switch from Porto in 2018. This means any bid for his services could constitute pure profit from a PSR perspective. Furthermore, Noussair Mazraoui is a proficient fullback himself, offering many of the same intangibles as his teammate. There is a reasonable argument that if a big-money arrived from the continent, it would be wise for United to accept it to fund reinforcements elsewhere on the pitch. But if Carrick, whose influence in M16 will be sky-high at present, is demanding Dalot remain as an integral member of his squad, there appears little prospect of the Portuguese departing this summer. Manchester United’s pursuit of Wolverhampton Wanderers starlet Mateus Mane is ramping up as the summer transfer window fast approaches, according to a new report. Reinforcements Out Wide The Red Devils are targeting a new left-winger to add more variety to Michael Carrick’s forward line ahead of a return to the Champions League next season. While Amad and Bryan Mbeumo are both natural options on the right wing, neither Matheus Cunha nor Patrick Dorgu is an ‘out-and-out’ wide player, with both doing their best work in other areas of the pitch. United’s primary targets on this flank are RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomande and Aston Villa’s magician Morgan Rogers, with initial talks held to gauge the viability of deals. However, either player is expected to cost up to £100 million and competition will prove fierce if their respective clubs put them up for sale. Furthermore, United’s priority this summer is a revamp in midfield, with around £150 million allocated to the capture of three new options – which leaves little wiggle room to fund a big-money new winger. This has led the recruitment department to identify cheaper alternatives, such as Mane, to help balance the budget and bolster all areas of the pitch. Breakout Season United have been strongly linked with a move for the 18-year-old winger, who has enjoyed a breakout season at Molineux, despite his side’s struggles. While Wolves were officially relegated in April, they had been consigned to that unfortunate fate for much of the season. There is a feeling Rob Edwards was appointed midseason as much for his reputation in the Championship as for any hopes he could secure Premier League survival. But Mane has been a shining light in an otherwise dark season in the Black Country, emerging as one of Edwards’ most effective players despite his tender age, with the English coach hailing him as “fearless”. Shaun Connolly (Theatre of Red) confirms Mane is “one of a collection of teenagers shortlisted” by United this summer, with the Barreiro native – he holds dual citizenship in England and Portugal – having been scouted extensively throughout the campaign. Connolly describes the youngster as representing “so much of the modern footballer” due to his comfort in possession and ball-carrying skills. “He is fearless against senior opponents and determined to showcase flamboyance in the final third. In the simplest of explanations, this teen is comfortable in multiple attacking positions, offering a dynamic threat, capable of impressive ball-carrying, while remaining direct in every transition…he possesses a very real press-resistant trait, and one can only imagine that this characteristic will grow with age and physical development.” Carrick is understood to want a “fluid forward line where, at a moment’s notice, the aim is to reveal positional switches to interrupt an opposition’s defensive shape.” Mane, a Swiss Army Knife of an attacker, offers this incisive flexibility in abundance. Crucially, well-placed sources indicate a “fee of around £25 to £30 million” should be sufficient to convince Wolves to sell their spell-binding starlet this summer – a price United’s war chest should be able to match. Final Thoughts Mane ticks a lot of boxes for INEOS, such as being younger, affordable, versatile and Premier League proven. He is said to be a signing who would “complement the existing squad” and possesses “staggering potential.” If a deal can be struck as low as £25 million to provide an alternative to Cunha, enabling Dorgu to drop back to support Luke Shaw at left-back, it would be an astute piece of business to help fund more high-profile purchases elsewhere on the pitch. Manchester United are intensifying their interest in Elche CF’s David Affengruber. Harry Maguire remains United’s only reliable, experienced central defender, with both Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt unable to shrug off their injury problems. As such, the club’s recruitment team are thought to be open to strengthening their backline. However, INEOS need to be shrewd with their spending, as their priority is to overhaul the midfield. Manchester United given edge in David Affengruber race Earlier this month, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United are one of the options for David Affengruber, who is planning to leave Elche at the end of the season. Now, Tutto Juve claims United are “in the front row” for Affengruber’s signature. According to the Italian outlet, Juventus and AC Milan are pursuing the 25-year-old Austrian, but United are “most interested” in the central defender. The 6’1″ star is regarded as “one of the most promising central defenders” in Europe, having impressed with his imposing presence and ability to play out from the back. Interestingly, it is underlined that Elche are demanding €30 million (£25.9m) for the Austria international. However, Juventus “clearly” have no desire to go above €20m (£17.3m). The report does not shine much light on United’s stance. However, Juventus’ reluctance to meet Elche’s asking price should give the Premier League giants an edge in the race. Manchester United interested in Gleison Bremer Qualification to next season’s Champions League has not only boosted United’s transfer warchest, but also made them an attractive destination for top players. Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Juventus defender Gleison Bremer will listen to any offers that come in during the summer following the club’s failure to secure Champions League football. The report added that United and Liverpool are interested in the Brazilian centre-back.
