After 11 years at Carrington, Luke Shaw could finally decide to put an end to his Manchester United stint, as he might feel he has a good reason to leave.
The left-back joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2014 after cementing himself as one of the most promising teenagers in the Premier League during his time at Southampton.
United splashed more than £30 million to secure the services of the then-youngster, but unfortunately for Shaw, his time at Old Trafford has been impeded with injury problems from the very beginning. So although he had his moments, the London native’s contribution throughout the years has been vastly limited by his recurring stops.

Over the years, it became increasingly clear to Man United that they can no longer rely on the Englishman as their main option on the left flank. And with Tyrell Malacia also hampered by injuries, INEOS have been working on strengthening the left wing-back role.
In January, MUFC brought in Patrick Dorgu from Lecce, while Diego Leon was signed from Cerro Porteño but was kept on loan. However, the 18-year-old Paraguayan has now joined Ruben Amorim’s first team, raising concern on Shaw’s part.
According to The Sun, the experienced star is now aware that he could become the club’s third choice on the left flank, behind Dorgu and Leon, so he’s willing to listen to offers this summer.
Shaw could have a future in the Saudi Pro League
The newspaper claims that several Saudi Pro League sides have shown interest in the player recently, and this could be the perfect timing to launch an onslaught.
It should be noted that Shaw wasn’t among the five players who asked to leave Man Utd this summer. After all, he still holds a place in Amorim’s plans, but perhaps not the prominent role he desires.
The England international still has another two years on his United contract, but he might feel that this is the right time for him to walk away, and at this stage, it is difficult to argue otherwise.
