Manchester United have been blown away by Bazoumana Touré, with a red-hot transfer battle set to erupt amongst Europe’s elite for the TSG Hoffenheim starlet, according to a blockbuster new report. The Hurricane Touré is considered a “chaos creator” as the 19-year-old winger is capable of destabilising a defence at a moment’s notice with his potent pairing of speed and skill. Amongst all players in the Bundesliga this season, the Ivory Coast international has clocked the highest speed with 35.97km/h, earning his nickname of ‘The Hurricane’. However, he is not simply a speed merchant, with scouts said to be impressed with his “tactical intelligence” and “technical flair” on the ball. This inventiveness is matched by his industry out of possession – a key trait for a winger in the modern game. There are even whisperings that the youngster’s potential is so high that he could develop into a future Ballon d’Or candidate. Sports Boom reveals Bayern Munich and Arsenal are two of the leading contenders for the 19-year-old speedster, while Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Real Betis have also dispatched scouts to watch him this season. The report contends Touré has become the “most coveted gem” in the January transfer window, though Hoffenheim are demanding €50-55 million to secure his signature – a price which would “shatter the club’s record sale” of €43.5m, which Newcastle paid for Joelinton in 2019. The Missing Piece Well-placed sources at Old Trafford reveal the Red Devils consider Touré the “missing piece” of their attacking jigsaw – a player the club have been tracking for many years. The left wing is a priority this summer, driven by the departure of Ruben Amorim and his ‘wingerless’ 3-4-2-1 system. Iliman Ndiaye, Everton and Senegal’s talisman, is one target under consideration, while Touré’s compatriot in the Bundesliga, RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, is another player United are watching closely. Both options are expected to cost in excess of £75m, however. And given United’s midfield unit is in desperate need of an overhaul, a ‘cheaper’ alternative for the left side – such as the £45m-rated Touré – would be a sensible approach. Sports Boom contends Bayern are the “most likely destination” for the Bundesliga gem, given the Bavarian giant’s policy of hoovering up the league’s best talents. They are understood to be preparing a “total offensive” to sign him this summer. However, INEOS have consistently demonstrated that when a young talent is considered a must-buy, they will blow their rivals out of the water to secure them. Just ask Real Madrid about Leny Yoro.
