Manchester United have had a very active summer transfer window so far. Christopher Vivell & co. seem to be leaving no stone unturned in their quest to provide Ruben Amorim a competitive squad to work with for the upcoming season.

The Red Devils have been backed heavily, financially, by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Manchester United have spent a lot of money to sign the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko. It makes the team looks immensely stronger than last season.

In recent days, Man Utd have been linked with a move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba. The Red Devils are looking to bolster their midfield and the Seagulls starlet would be a great addition to the mix.

Now, as per an exclusive from CFOOT, Manchester United have reached an agreement with Brighton for around £96.4million. The report mentions that the official announcement is bound to come some time later.

Baleba adds a lot of quality to the midfield. The Cameroonian midfielder showcased his incredible talent for Fabian Hurzeler’s side through the course of the past season. He almost played like two players every single time he was on the pitch.

Manchester United have options like Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro who can play in the defensive midfield role at the club. However, Baleba would be an upgrade on both players, bringing a lot of energy and quality to the mix.

Although the report claims that the Red Devils have reached an agreement with Brighton for the 21-year-old midfielder, there needs to be more confirmation on this front. As of now, there is no clarity yet, on the situation.

Spending so much money would be a massive gamble by Manchester United, especially when they have a lot of positions to reinforce in. The coming weeks should provide further clarity on the situation. Let’s wait and see how things play out going forward.
