Unwanted United star sets out clear condition to leave Old Trafford – report

Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund has provided one condition for him to leave the club.

No future

Hojlund joined the Red Devils in 2023 from Atalanta but has failed to impress.

He has only scored 26 goals in 95 appearances and with the arrival of Benjamin Sesko, it looks like he has no place in the starting lineup.

It is said the club is keen to see the Dane move on this summer to raise funds for other signings.

Numerous Italian clubs have shown interest in the forward but AC Milan have been the most seriously linked club.

Milan patience

Despite the Rossoneri’s interest, Hojlund has so far not committed to a move, preferring to stay at Old Trafford.

This has led to former Milan manager Arrigo Sacchi to claim that the player is “no Van Basten” and claim that he is surprised that the player is not desperate to play for a giant club like AC Milan.

Nonetheless, there have been reports that if Hojlund does not play any minutes in the match tomorrow against Arsenal, he may finally accept his United career is over.

One condition

Italian website Calciomercato report that Hojlund has another condition if he were to leave United this summer.

It is understood that “in the last few hours, AC Milan and the Danish striker’s entourage have had direct contact after weeks of rumours and speculation. The Rossoneri club has outlined its plans, and the player hasn’t turned a blind eye to the offer coming from Milan.”

Crucially the site states that Hojlund is “open to listening, yes, but on one condition. According to Matteo Moretto, Hojlund doesn’t want to hear, at least at this stage, any offers that would involve him leaving Manchester United on a non-permanent basis.”

Therefore, he would not currently agree to any dry loans or even an offer for a temporary switch with no obligation.

As a result, the only loan deal he would accept is one that has an obligation to buy attached.

Alex is a huge Manchester United fan, inspired by greats of his homeland such as George Best, Harry Gregg and Norman Whiteside. Proud owner of such niche shirts such as Kleberson, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Gary Neville. Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
