Wantaway winger ready to slash wages in order to seal a move away from United – report

Marcus Rashford appears willing to pull out all of the stops in order to seal a move away from Manchester United this summer.

Upon arriving at Old Trafford, Man United manager Ruben Amorim decided to exclude Rashford from his plans, sending him to Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season.

Having enjoyed a promising stint at Villa, the transfer rumours started rolling in for Rashford, whose United career looks to be at an end.

With Arsenal, Chelsea, AC Milan, and Inter Milan emerging as interested parties, Rashford has long been linked with a move to FC Barcelona.

In fact, The Peoples Person noted this morning that Rashford was spotted training in Marbella, Spain, where he is reportedly waiting for an offer from Barcelona.

Although there seems to be a spanner in the works regarding Barcelona’s move for Rashford, the Englishman seems determined to force a move, seemingly willing to make massive concessions as a result.

CaughtOffside reported this morning that Rashford could even take a pay cut in order to get a transfer away from United over the line.

“Sources with a close understanding of Rashford’s situation have informed CaughtOffside that he remains “out of favour” with Ruben Amorim ahead of next season,” the report read.

“Aston Villa remain open to signing Rashford permanently after his loan spell there in the second half of last season, but they look set to face competition for the England international’s signature. Tottenham and Newcastle are expected to be two names to watch in the Premier League, while sources also named Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Saudi Pro League clubs as likely suitors.”

“Rashford is keen to leave Man United and sources high up in the industry believe he’d now accept a pay cut to seal a move away,” the article claimed. “The 27-year-old’s current wages of around £325,000 per week would understandably be problematic for a lot of clubs after his recent dip in form.”

Clearly, Rashford is determined to jump ship, even if simply to revive his career after Amorim apparently excluded him from his plans.

What’s more, a recent survey found that Rashford is the main player that United fans want the club to sell this transfer window, indicating that his support base at the club is quickly eroding.

Hopefully, United will be able to fetch a decent price for him as they look to continue their massive squad rebuild under Amorim.
