United youth boss delivers honest assessment of loanees’ progress as he shares club’s January transfer plan

Manchester United Under-21 boss Travis Binnion has shared his thoughts on how the youngsters who are currently out on loan are faring. Joe Hugill has been sidelined for three months with an injury but is close to returning to action with Barnet. Binnion spoke to the media and gave his assessment of how the various loan spells are going. He also revealed that plans are underway for more players to leave United and head out on loan. Binnion speaks on loan moves He said [as quoted by BBC], “Conversations are taking place.” “It’s been a really successful first half of the season and it’s never going to be perfect with everyone playing every game, but we’re all really happy with how the loans have done.” “We’ve got to reassess what’s right for them in January and also, for the lads that are in the building, how do we get the next stage of their development right?” United Under-21s are next in action on Tuesday next week when they face Solihull Moors. They will then take on Anderlecht, Tamworth and Borussia Dortmund before breaking for the holidays.
