Manchester United are one of three European giants who are chasing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
Ruben Amorim’s men have improved in the new year with a highly credible draw at Anfield and knocking Arsenal out of the FA Cup at the Emirates.
Nonetheless, with the likely departure of Marcus Rashford in this window and the team’s lack of goals, it is highly likely that an attacking option will be signed this month.
United have been credited with an interest in Randal Kolo Muani, but he is now off the table as he is set to complete a loan move to Juventus.
This could mean that another attacking target, Vlahovic, is even more likely to depart the Old Lady this January.
Fichajes report that “the Serbian striker’s renewal is not going well and there are teams wanting to get him out of Turin.”
His future in Italy “seems more uncertain that ever” and this has sparked the interest of United, Arsenal and Paris Saint- Germain.
Juventus want to lower his wages in a new deal but this has not been “well received” by the player’s entourage and given this situation, the Italians would be “open” to a January sale.
The Spanish outlet claims that “the Red Devils need a proven scorer, and Vlahovic fits the profile they are looking for.”
Arsenal are also said to see Vlahovic as an “opportunity” and are desperate for attacking reinforcements after the news of Gabriel Jesus’ serious injury.
PSG are also waiting to strike and could take advantage of recent negotiations between the two clubs over Kolo Muani.
With just over two weeks left of the window, United will certainly hope to get some sort of business done and a move for Vlahovic would certainly add an experienced goal poacher that they currently lack.
