United star shows care for community with heart-warming gesture to fan – report

Manchester United’s Mason Mount has had to be patient for most of his Old Trafford career. Frustration Despite signing in 2023, the Englishman has not made the impact he would have liked. The 26 year old has missed 52 matches through injury since joining United. He has also been in and out of the team this season, often competing with new signing Matheus Cunha for a spot in the starting line up. Mount scored his only goal of the season in a fine effort versus Sunderland at Old Trafford in early October. Charitable act The Manchester Evening News report that “Mason Mount has shown support for the family of a big Manchester United fan in Bolton who continues to fight for his life after being struck by a car.” The England international “sent a video message to Lewis Rimmer’s wife, Sarah, and two daughters, Amelia and Maddison” after the accident took place. The man remains critically injured in the hospital and is in an induced coma. What’s more, “Mount is said to have shared his condolences and expressed his sorrow at hearing what happened to Rimmer. He also relayed that ‘everyone at Manchester United is thinking of them and sending all their love.’ A fundraiser has been set up by friends of the family to raise money and they have generously received over £100,000 in donations. United players have regularly got involved in their local community through the club and in particular to help pick up the spirits of people in poor health. Around Christmas time, United players often visit local children’s hospitals to give the youngsters something to cheer about.
