United eye shock move for Real Madrid star who can replace Bruno long-term – report

Manchester United have joined Arsenal in expressing interest in Real Madrid attacker Brahim Díaz, amid suggestions the Spanish club may be open to a summer sale.

The 25 year old has made 52 appearances this season, but most of them have come from the bench, with only 16 La Liga starts and four in the Champions League.

Spanish outlet Fichajes claim that Díaz may be growing frustrated with his lack of consistent starting opportunities at the Bernabéu.

The situation has reportedly prompted both United and Arsenal to consider an approach.

Díaz’s role at Madrid is complicated by a crowded attacking roster and the recent emergence of Argentine teenager Franco Mastantuono, who has further intensified competition for places.

Incoming head coach Xabi Alonso is said to have faith in Díaz, but cannot guarantee increased game time next season given the depth of attacking options available to him.

Madrid are not actively looking to offload the Moroccan international, but club directors are understood to be open to offers should the player signal a desire to leave.

Díaz is a technically gifted attacker known for his close control, quick feet and ability to operate in tight spaces.

Comfortable playing across the front line, he excels in linking play between midfield and attack, often using sharp dribbles and intelligent movement to disrupt defensive structures.

While not a primary target, Díaz offers the kind of versatility, experience and technical quality that would appeal to manager Ruben Amorim, particularly in a squad still seeking greater depth and dynamism in wide and central areas.

Madrid’s openness to negotiation—if a player-driven exit occurs could present an opportunity for United to secure a potentially high-upside addition without exorbitant cost.

As always, much will depend on the player’s stance.

Díaz has not publicly stated a desire to leave, but the coming weeks could be decisive as pre-season plans take shape.
