BACK David Tully Jan 22nd 2026 Man Utd midfielder Toby Collyer will officially join Hull City on loan for the rest of the season “today”, according to Fabrizio Romano. A temporary move to the Championship playoff contenders has been on the cards since the beginning of the January transfer window, and Romano posted on his X account to say: “Toby Collyer to Hull City on loan from Manchester United, deal agreed and set to be sealed today.” There is no purchase clause in the agreement, and the 22-year-old will return to Old Trafford following the conclusion of the loan this summer. Collyer has had an injury-hit season The midfielder had spent the first six months of the campaign at another Championship side, West Bromwich Albion. However, Collyer had only started three games before he was recalled back to the Red Devils after picking up a calf injury at the end of November. The hope is that he will get more minutes during his time at Hull, who are currently sitting 4th in the Championship table. The Tigers are actually just 5 points off the automatic promotion places with a game in hand. Another Man Utd player is set to switch clubs Harry Amass is also set to swap teams this week. The left-back had been playing regularly for bottom-of-the-table Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday. However, it is expected that Amass will be playing for Norwich City for the rest of the season. The Canaries are faring slightly better in the English second tier. Philippe Clement’s team are sitting in 20th place at the moment after 28 games. They are just two points above Blackburn Rovers in the relegation places, but they have played a game more. It looks like Amass and Collyer will have very different experiences with their new teams at opposite ends of the table. Want more news on Man Utd?
