Manchester United are interested in signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson in the coming months.

According to a report from Fichajes, the 22-year-old has attracted the attention of the Red Devils with his performances. He is certainly one of the finest young talents in the Premier League right now, and Anderson could prove to be a solid long-term acquisition for the club.

Kieran Trippier has previously said on Anderson: “He’s a young lad, with so much potential and I really mean that. It’s crazy really how good he is. He just has to be patient. Keep working hard as he has been doing. He was unbelievable when he came on (at Forest). He has a massive future ahead of him, like I said, he just has to keep being patient.”

Man United keen on Elliot Anderson

The report claims that Manchester United are preparing to offer around €65 million in order to sign the player. It will be interesting to see if Nottingham Forest are prepared to sanction his departure. He is a key player for them, and he will only improve with coaching and experience. They could demand a premium for him.

Although €65 million is a lot of money for a player who is still largely unproven at the highest level, the Premier League side could hold out for a higher sum of money, given the inflation in today’s market.

Manchester United need to control games in the middle of the park, and they need better midfielders at their disposal. Anderson will certainly help them improve. He has the potential to develop into a top-class player, and joining a big club would be ideal for him. The move to Manchester United could be attractive for him. They are one of the biggest clubs in the world despite their recent struggles.

Convincing the 22-year-old to join the club might not be too difficult. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United can secure an agreement with their Premier League rivals.
