Manchester United have expressed interest in signing the Athletic Club Bilbao midfielder Oihan Sancet.

The 25-year-old has done quite well in La Liga last season. He managed to score 17 goals and pick up three assists along the way. There is no doubt that Sancet would be an excellent addition for Manchester United if they can get the deal done.

Man United need Oihan Sancet

They have been overly reliant on Bruno Fernandes for goals and creativity from the middle of the park. They need more support in that area of the pitch, and the 25-year-old could be the ideal fit. He has the technical attributes to do well in the Premier League, but Manchester United will face competition from Arsenal and Tottenham, as per Fichajes.

The midfielder has an €80 million release clause in his contract, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United would be willing to pay for him. The asking price could prove to be too expensive, and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

The opportunity to play for Manchester United will be exciting for the Liga star. It would be the ideal next step in his career, and he would get to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. He will look to fight for trophies with them. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United can perform at a high level this season and return to Europe once again.

They have the resources to pay €80 million (£70m) for the player, but they will probably hope to sign him for a more reasonable amount of money.

Meanwhile, Arsenal could use someone like him in the final third as well. They need to add more goals to the side. Arsenal are a more competitive unit, and they have been fighting for major trophies regularly. They could be an attractive destination for the player as well. It remains to be seen where he ends up.
