Premier League club now preparing January loan offer for wantaway Man Utd star as Amorim plans to block move

West Ham United are prepared to offer Joshua Zirkzee an escape route away from his struggles at Old Trafford in January.

Numerous outlets have already reported Zirkzee’s desire to leave in the winter amid his ongoing omissions by Ruben Amorim.

However, the forward is not expected to force a move, and Manchester United do not want to part ways with him midway through the season.

Pete Hall and Tom Ward of the iPaper claim both Amorim and INEOS chiefs share the same stance on Zirkzee, despite him being utilised sparingly in the opening three months of the campaign.

That being said, a loan could be deemed feasible as long as it’s agreed that the 24-year-old returns in time for 2025/2026, when United will, ideally, have more fixtures to account for through a European competition.

Zirkzee is keen to see his minutes increased as soon as possible amid hopes he could be called up to the Netherlands squad for next year’s World Cup.

Ronald Koeman has not included the Red in his selection since last November, with Zirkzee now chomping at the bit to add to his six caps and prove himself to the coach.

In regard to his club action, he has yet to start a fixture this term and has been an unused substitute for five of the opening eight Premier League matches.

United’s No.11 last featured in the defeat to Brentford on September 27, making just a five-minute cameo off the bench. Prior to that, he played 10 minutes in the Manchester derby and 59 minutes against Burnley, during which he replaced the injured Matheus Cunha in the first half.
