Jess Park has been named Barclays WSL Player of the Month for October.
The 24-year-old, who signed from Manchester City at the beginning of September, was Player of the Match in both of United Women’s two league games during the month.
Park caught the eye in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea at the Progress with Unity Stadium, as the Reds became the first side to take points off the champions this term.
She was initially given a rest for the visit to Everton the following week but entered the fray as a substitute in the second half to help United come from behind.

Her two late goals turned it into a convincing 4-1 victory for Marc Skinner’s side, although she suffered delayed concussion afterwards, which ruled her out of the UEFA Champions League game at Atletico Madrid, and England duty.
Of course, we wish Jess all the best in her recovery and hope she can return as soon as possible after the break, as we seek to extend our positive start to the campaign.
Our midfielder is the third current Red to pick up a Player of the Month prize, since we were first promoted to the league in 2019.
Ella Toone was the most recent winner, claiming the award in January of this year – her second, following on from recognition in December 2021.
Leah Galton is a three-time recipient, as she was voted Player of the Month in December 2020, January 2022 and December 2022.
United return to WSL action next weekend, visiting Brighton & Albion on Sunday 2 November, for a 12:00 GMT kick-off.
