Match preview: West Ham v United Women

ManUtd.com reporter Adam Marshall at Old Trafford.

Manchester United Women are back in action this weekend, with an away WSL game against West Ham United at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Fresh from the fabulous Adobe FA Cup semi-final triumph over Manchester City on Sunday, the push to finish as high as possible continues with the test against the east Londoners.

The Reds are in third spot at the moment behind Arsenal and leaders Chelsea.

Here is the lowdown on the fixture, including how to watch and follow the events as they unfold…

You’ll want to watch the extended cut of Sunday’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup semi-final…

HOW TO WATCH AND FOLLOW

The game kicks off on Saturday at 12:00 BST in Essex and, although it is not live on MUTV due to live Sky Sports coverage, we will be providing radio commentary on our channels.

Liam Bradford and Jess Sigsworth are on duty, providing you with the best coverage of every kick.

Highlights will follow in due course, after analysis, reaction and updates in the United App and on ManUtd.com.

TEAM NEWS

Celin Bizet proved her fitness by scoring in the weekend win over Manchester City at the Joie Stadium but coach Marc Skinner will be carefully assessing his troops ahead of this latest outing.

Gabby George may need to be checked after coming off during the semi-final.

Hannah Blundell and Evie Rabjohn have been sidelined, although the latter is back on the grass at Carrington.

For the home side, Jess Ziu has been out with a long-term knee injury but is making progress.

FORM GUIDE

The Reds have lost only one of our last 10 matches in all competitions, the 3-1 reverse to Liverpool in mid-March.

The 2-0 victory over City in the FA Cup ensured a third successive clean sheet and morale must be high after reaching Wembley again, for a third season on the trot.

West Ham sit seventh in the WSL table, at the time of writing, and, after an entertaining 4-3 reverse to Arsenal, they are in decent form.

A 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur was sandwiched between creditable draws with Manchester City and league leaders Chelsea.

Rehanne Skinner’s side have yet to play this month and should be well rested for this encounter.

Sunday 20 April
