Newcastle United have once again failed to lure a key striker target as Manchester United reached an agreement to hire the services of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils have agreed terms worth £115.6million in fee and wages to sign the Slovenian international, their third key signing of the summer after Cunha and Mbeumo.

As far as the fee is concerned, Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano confirmed with his famous ‘Here we go’ statement that the Old Trafford outfit have reached an agreement worth £74million with the Bundesliga side.
Moreover, he also confirmed that Benjamin Sesko has agreed a five year deal until 2030.
On the other hand, Rok Viskovic, has confirmed that the player has agreed a contract that will make him earn £160,000 a week, £41.6million in the next five years.
The Slovenian sports journalist has also added that if United, who are not taking part in any European competition, end up qualifying for the Champions League, then Sesko’s salary will improve to £200,000 a week.
As per today’s edition of The Mirror, Newcastle United offered Sesko a much better wage package to convince him to move to St. James Park, however, the player decided to move to Manchester United.
The British outlet claim that the 22-year-old striker is expected to undergo his medical in the next twenty four hours.
So, we can expect the player all set and ready for the opening Premier League game against last year’s runners up, Arsenal.
Last term, the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Zirkzee managed to score a combined seven goals in the league.
On the other hand, Sesko made 33 appearances in the Bundesliga in the 2024-25 campaign, and netted 13 goals.
The stats are not really impressive considering Harry Kane was the top scorer in Germany with 26 goals. Moreover, in the PL, Salah scored 29 times to win the PL Golden Boot.
Let’s see if Ruben Amorim can get the best out of Benjamin Sesko.
