Serie A side Como were one of the surprise packages last season. Under manager Cesc Fabregas, they established themselves as a very decent side with a number of talented players.

The former Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea star has taken to management like a fish to water. He has done very well to impress in his short stint so far and would be keen to build on it this summer.

Among the many talented players to have impressed for Como last season, Nico Paz is one among them. The Argentinian attacking midfielder had a brilliant 2024/25 under Hansi Flick.

The 20-year-old came through La Fabrica in Real Madrid but could not get a chance with Los Blancos’ first team. He was eventually sold to Como with buy-back clauses.

Xabi Alonso’s side had the chance to sign him this summer window but did not activate his buy-back clause. The Spanish side also have the opportunity to sign him in subsequent years.

Paz is very talented and has three caps for Argentina. The youngster, in 35 games across all competitions, scored 6 goals and provided 9 assists.

He is versatile and can play as a right-winger and even a central forward. According to Caught Offside, Como value him at around £60.7million and would not be interested in entertaining a sale this summer.

Apart from Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in signing Nico Paz. From a Red Devils perspective, having already made three signings for the attack, they don’t necessarily need to spend money on another one.

Paz is undoubtedly a big talent who would be a huge coup for any of the clubs that sign him. However, it does not look like Como would entertain any sort of negotiations for the youngster and let’s wait and see how things play out on this front.
