Man United predicted lineup vs Arsenal: £133m duo set for Old Trafford bow

The Old Trafford faithful will be hoping to witness the dawn of a new era at Manchester United, as their beloved club hosts Arsenal on the opening day of the season.

Regardless of the circumstances, the meeting between the Red Devils and the Gunners is always one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Premier League. However, this one feels like a premature clash, as neither side has warmed its engines just yet.

And yet, excitement will fill the air at OT, as the summer stemmed positive vibes around the club, fueled by Ruben Amorim’s unwavering self-confidence and the arrival of three attackers who were keen to join Man Utd above all other suitors, despite the lack of Champions League football.

Man United predicted lineup vs Arsenal

Speaking of new signings, a couple of them will likely start on Sunday. The first is Matheus Cunha who was brought to fill the No.10 role, but is expected to lead the line against Arsenal, as fellow new arrival Benjamin Sesko has only joined Amorim’s camp a week ago.

The Portuguese manager insisted that the Slovenian bomber is ready to feature, but we expect him to make his debut off the bench, while Cunha acts as a striker, supported by Bryan Mbeumo and club captain Bruno Fernandes.

In the middle of the park, Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro will likely get the nod at the expense of Kobbie Mainoo, while Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu will occupy the wingback slots.

Matthijs de Ligt is the favourite to marshal the backline over Harry Maguire. While Leny Yoro is a lock for the right centre-back role, Luke Shaw will have to ward off competition from Ayden Heaven on the left. The teenager may have suffered a knock in training, so the England veteran will likely get the nod. Noussair Mazraoui and Lisandro Martinez remain unavailable

Finally, Andre Onana was initially expected to miss Arsenal clas with an injury, but has managed to pull off a speedy recovery. The Cameroonian didn’t feature in pre-season, but he appears likely to get the nod on Sunday, while Altay Bayindir remains alerted.
