Kai Rooney is set to play a match at Old Trafford for the first time as Manchester United prepare to face Peterborough in the FA Youth Cup. As the son of Man United legend Wayne Rooney, Kai has some big shoes to fill. Despite the pressure, he has already proven his talent, growing in leaps and bounds to become one of the academy’s most exciting prospects. As a result of his massive impact, the young Rooney was bumped up three age groups to the U19s. Unfortunately, his impressive form was disrupted when he suffered an injury in September, at which point he claimed that “life can’t get worse.” Fortunately, it seems that Kai will be back in action in no time, given an exciting new update.
