Manchester United and Portugal full-back Diogo Dalot visited Lifeshare’s Christmas project in Manchester city centre with his partner earlier this week.
Lifeshare is a charity that supports homeless and vulnerable people in Manchester and Salford.
The pair arrived on Christmas Eve with donations of food and clothes and spent the morning helping to prepare meals, serve refreshments, talk to Lifeshare’s guests and spend time with other volunteers.
While there, Dalot arranged tickets for our upcoming Premier League game against Newcastle United on Monday (30 December) for a number of the volunteers.

Diogo Dalot supported the important work of homeless charity Lifeshare over the festive break.
Speaking about his visit, the Reds defender said: “Manchester is a city with a strong sense of community and compassion. I have lived here for over six years now and I’m proud to call this city my home.
“Unfortunately, homelessness is on the rise; as a family we want to raise awareness and also directly help people wherever we can. Christmas can be a difficult time for many, and Lifeshare’s work ensures that no one is forgotten.
“The volunteers that I have met here today are really inspirational; I’m really grateful that I was able to spend time with them and play a small part in helping to deliver such vital work for the people that they support.”
Lifeshare is a charity that has been active in the local community since 1984, helping to tackle homelessness and provide support to those who need it.
Their service helps with food, warmth and advice through various initiatives, and the charity has also played a key role in spreading awareness via their contribution to projects such as the Booth Centre and Big Issue Up North.
