Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has discussed where best to utilise the qualities of versatile defender Noussair Mazraoui.

The summer signing from Bayern Munich has been an unqualified success in his first season at Old Trafford, and really proved his adaptability over the course of the campaign.

Even deployed in a no.10 role during the Europa League game at Fenerbahce, under previous manager Erik ten Hag, the Morocco international has been able to impress, not only at wing-back or in the central defensive slots, but also on both flanks.

As recently as the midweek Premier League contest at Nottingham Forest, he ended up playing on the left and right of the three at the back, either side of fellow former Bayern man Matthijs de Ligt.

AMORIM Q&A | The boss answers questions on Amad, Mazraoui and an absent Manchester City player…

During his pre-match interview with club media ahead of the Manchester derby, reporter Mark Sullivan asked Ruben for his thoughts on the subject.

“It’s hard to see the best position,” admitted our head coach. “His background is like a full-back, in a defence of four.

“So in our way of playing, he can play in different positions. I see him as one of the defenders in this moment, because of his quality, he can defend.

“He can play one against one, defending, attacking. So I’m seeing him with a future to play as a wing-back and as a centre-back.”

Mazraoui played in the 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium in December and will hope to help the Reds do the double over our neighbours.

The 27-year-old has appeared in 30 Premier League matches since joining the club and will be an option to the boss again, in a variety of positions, as he prepares for the 16:30 BST kick-off on Sunday, particularly with De Ligt doubtful after sustaining an issue at Forest on Tuesday.

Isak picks Liverpool as Real Madrid poach trio: How every PL club’s best player leaves this summer

Kevin De Bruyne’s announced his departure and given the out-of-contract mess at Liverpool, another potless season incoming for Arsenal and the normal Big Club poaching of mid-to-lower table talent we’ve dreamed up what we believe to be a reasonable world in which every Premier League club loses their best player.

Disclaimer: We accept and understand that you may not think these players are the best at their clubs.

Arsenal: William Saliba to Real Madrid
Arsenal are supposedly working on a big new contract for Saliba to sign in the summer, but the upcoming clash with Real Madrid offers tapping-up opportunities with the Spanish giants supposedly ‘in love’ with the centre-back, who may also learn over the next couple of weeks that the only sure-fire way of winning the Champions League is by joining Los Blancos.

Aston Villa: Marco Asensio to Newcastle
He’s scored nine goals at a ludicrous rate of one every 60 minutes since his loan move from Paris Saint-Germain and Unai Emery has tasked Monchi with signing him permanently ‘at all costs’. PSG have supposedly set that cost at just €15m but failure to secure Champions League football could see Asensio’s head turned elsewhere, possibly in the direction of Newcastle, who are likely to have beaten Villa to the punch should Emery’s side fail to get the job done.

Bournemouth: Milos Kerkez to Liverpool
It seems there are only t’s to cross and i’s left to dot before Kerkez arrives at Anfield as Andy Robertson’s successor having been arguably the best left-back in the Premier League this season.

READ MORE: Liverpool ‘dream’ deal one of six re-signings sporting directors are targeting this summer

Brentford: Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United
The naysayers will claim he’s wholly unsuited to Ruben Amorim’s system but we believe the Manchester United tradition of chasing a top target until the last week of the transfer window before a panic buy will endure, with Amorim initially hailing Mbeumo’s “versatility” ahead of multiple failed position experiments before he escapes Old Trafford in a year’s time after the next manager insists he needs to bring in His Players.

Brighton: Kaoru Mitoma to Liverpool
Brighton reportedly rejected a whopping £75m bid from Al Nassr in the summer as Mitoma insisted he wanted to remain in Europe. Liverpool have previously been credited with interest and the rumoured departures of pretty much all of their current crop of forwards may turn their attention towards the Japan international.

Chelsea: Cole Palmer to Real Madrid
Florentino Perez likes nothing more than handing Carlo Ancelotti a selection headache and we thoroughly look forward to Palmer lining up at right-back ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold to shoehorn him into a team behind Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.

Crystal Palace: Eberechi Eze to Arsenal
An ‘all-action midfielder’ is said to be one of the targets for Andrea Berta ahead of what will reportedly be a ‘seismic’ first transfer window for Arsenal’s new sporting director and Eze has all the actions.

READ MORE: How Andrea Berta should spend his £300m to win Arsenal the Premier League title

Everton: Idrissa Gueye to Al Ahli
No Premier League footballer has more combined tackles and interceptions this season than Gueye (148), who’s proving that age is just a number. Then again that number is 35, which is too high.

Fulham: Antonee Robinson to Arsenal
He appears to have lost to Kerkez in the race to Anfield, but Robinson has been brilliant for Fulham this season. He’s second to Gueye in tackles/interceptions on 129 and has ten assists from left-back, which is supposedly another position Berta has been tasked with recruiting in despite Myles Lewis Skelly, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori proving more than enough depth amid the likely departures of Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko.

But given the only players Mikel Arteta likes more than left-backs are giants he’s not about to pass up the opportunity to sign a giant left-back.

Ipswich: Liam Delap to Manchester United
We have high hopes of Delap being the long-term replacement for Harry Kane in the England team and can think of no better method of that hope being dashed to nothing than a move to Manchester United, where up-and-coming strikes go to die. God help him.

Leicester: Wilfred Ndidi to Everton
Not quite the marquee signing the Toffees fans are hoping for with which to open their new stadium, but Gueye’s departure opens the door for a midfield battler.

Liverpool: Mohamed Salah to Al Hilal
It’s a case of when and not if Salah moves to Saudi Arabia, and while we keep being told there Is No Evidence Of Him Slowing Down, we would argue him being a bit pants in recent weeks after a long old season is some evidence of him slowing down and we’re not entirely convinced that handing him a hugely lucrative contract is actually the best idea. The best idea would have been doing that two years ago.

Manchester City: Kevin De Bruyne to San Diego FC
He’s off and while we don’t quite know where, we have too much love for the greatest midfielder in Premier League history to even conceive of him going to Saudi Arabia. San Diego – part-owned by Juan Mata – have been linked, and that sounds nice. We dare you to read his farewell statement without a tear in your eye.

Manchester United: Bruno Fernandes to Real Madrid
Amorim has told Fernandes he’s not going anywhere but we’re absolutely not having the suggestion that United would turn down £90m for their 30-year-old captain.

READ MORE: Bruno Fernandes may never be a Man Utd legend but would be a Real Madrid winner

Newcastle: Alexander Isak to Liverpool
Arsenal want Isak just as badly but we’re guessing having had a taste for glory at Newcastle he wants to win more trophies.

Nottingham Forest: Murillo to Chelsea
Chelsea really need a centre-back and Murillo fits the profile of being young and… no, actually that’s it. The move is presumably contingent on the Blues qualifying for the Champions League, which we’re not convinced is going to happen, just as we’re not convinced that leaving Forest for any club outside the very best in Europe is a great idea right now. But Chelsea have remained very adept at attracting top talent throughout their struggles under the new owners.

Southampton: Tyler Dibling to Tottenham
The answer to ‘where does a mercurial young playmaker with huge potential go?’ is always Tottenham and it is never good advice, but we fully expect Daniel Levy to lowball the Saints into submission.

Tottenham: Cristian Romero to Atletico Madrid
Romero has always played for Tottenham with an air of knowing he’s better than them, which may or may not be the case because just as Ange Postecoglou’s fun, free-flowing Spurs were a flash in the pan, we’re not sure Romero is anywhere near as good as he thinks he is. He’s unquestionably fiery though and fiery sh*thosues belong at Atletico Madrid under Diego Simeone.

West Ham: Jarrod Bowen to Newcastle
Jacob Murphy has five goals and eight assists in the Premier League this season but he could double that tally and still be one of the first names picked out as requiring an upgrade at Newcastle as no-one can get past the idea that a player signed for £8m from Norwich could ever be good enough to be playing Champions League football.

Bowen has just one more goal contribution after seven goals and seven assists for West Ham, who have added the captaincy as a barrier to his transfer. But like anyone, Bowen would presumably jump at the chance to play in the Champions League, and Eddie Howe loves an English winger.

Wolves: Matheus Cunha to Arsenal
We’re assuming Cunha can persuade them that the reason the red mist has descended on several occasions this season was just because he was playing for Wolves.

Arsenal, Man Utd target decides ‘first choice’ transfer in ‘enormous boost’ amid two ‘key’ details

Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly made a decision on his ‘first choice’ summer transfer amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

Gyokeres is on the radar of several elite European clubs, as he is among the leading scorers in 2025.

The former Coventry City star joined Sporting Lisbon for around £15m during the 2023 summer transfer window and has established himself as one of the leading strikers in Europe.

The 26-year-old has had a meteoric rise over the past two seasons, grabbing 86 goals and 26 assists in his 93 appearances for Sporting Lisbon across all competitions.

READ: Big Weekend: Man Utd v Man City, Nottingham Forest, Kiwior, Slot, Postecoglou misery-enders

Gyokeres is expected to be on the move this summer and could move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Man Utd among the clubs in the market for a new striker.

The Gunners are crying out for a new forward as they have been ineffective in attack this season and are currently playing Mikel Merino as a makeshift striker with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus injured.

Man Utd, meanwhile, need to sign an upgrade on Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee and are linked with Gyokeres, who worked with Ruben Amorim at Sporting Lisbon.

A report from GiveMeSport has revealed a ‘major development’ with Gyokeres and his team making Arsenal his ‘first choice destination.

There are said to be two ‘key’ factors behind this decision. The report explains:

‘Over the last couple of weeks, it has become apparent to Gyokeres just how serious Arsenal’s interest has become.

‘We can reveal that the Swedish star’s representatives have indicated that a move to the Emirates is hugely appealing and they are ready to make it their first choice for this summer.

‘They are understood to have been impressed with Arsenal’s approach to the situation and that is key for Gyokeres.

‘His next club has little to do with money for him, as we revealed on TBR Football – the project is key for him as he thinks about his career path rather than riches and finances of any move.’

TalkSPORT also claims Gyokeres is keen on a move to Arsenal, which is an ‘enormous boost’ to Mikel Arteta’s side.

‘Viktor Gyokeres is open to a move to Arsenal this summer, talkSPORT understands.

‘The Gunners are set to open talks with Sporting after identifying Gyokeres as a more attainable option than Newcastle’s Alexander Isak.

‘Gyokeres is understood to be impressed with the Arsenal project.’

From Italy: United have approached Serie A giants regarding “imposing” midfielder INEOS have long been fans of

Manchester United need midifield cover for next season with two veterans in Christian Eriksen and Casemiro likely to depart in the summer.

The Dane’s contract is up and the club have not offered him an extension. As for the Brazilian, despite his recent improved form, he simply does not have the legs to effectively operate in a two-man system.

Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes are the two available options at Ruben Amorim’s disposal and with the head coach ultimately preferring to move the club captain back into his favoured attacking midfield role, he could do with another midfield addition.

Last season the Red Devils were linked with a move for Khephren Thuram, son of the legendary Lilian, who was plying his trade for OGC Nice, owned by INEOS.

Khephren on United’s radar

The links were understandable but the Frenchman ended up moving to Juventus where he has enjoyed a decent personal campaign, managing four goals and as many assists.

He can play not only as a defensive midfielder but also as a central midfielder and that sort of positional flexibility will suit United’s Portuguese coach.

The 24-year-old ranks in the 94th percentile for progressive carries and in the 90th percentile for successful take-ons (via fbref).

This highlights how comfortable he is in progressing with the ball, which makes him an ideal target for Amorim with Tutto Juve claiming the 20-time English league champions have enquired about his availability.

Juve don’t want to sell

Not only United but also Arsenal, and Newcastle are monitoring proceedings but the Bianconeri are in no mood to let go of the France international so soon after spending €20.6 million to land him.

“In recent days, several Premier League clubs have tried to approach Juventus for Khephren Thuram.

“The French player is liked by Arsenal, Newcastle and Manchester United, however Juventus has listed him among the unsellable and will not let him leave.”

Thuram has a market value of 40 million, with Juve likely to demand a lot more given the “imposing” star’s importance to the team.

There are other options on United’s radar but a lot will depend on the ultimate budget with INEOS’ first port of call likely to be adding a striker given the team’s lack of goals this term.

Man Utd star faces permanent exit amid ‘no way back’ under Amorim with ‘career’ at Old Trafford ‘over’

According to reports, Manchester United will look to offload one star permanently this summer as there is ‘no way back’ for him under Ruben Amorim.

United‘s head coach has endured a difficult few months since replacing Erik ten Hag towards the end of last year as they are still languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Man Utd’s squad is not suited to Amorim‘s preferred 3-5-2 formation, so the former Sporting Lisbon boss has struggled to implement his preferred system.

Wholesale changes are required this summer, but Man Utd are working on a shoestring budget and need to offload unwanted talents to raise funds.

Patrick Dorgu was their only big-money signing in January as they bought him for around £25m after Marcus Rashford and Antony headed out on loan to Aston Villa and Real Betis.

READ: Big Weekend: Man Utd v Man City, Nottingham Forest, Kiwior, Slot, Postecoglou misery-enders

It was initially hoped that Rashford would benefit from a fresh start following Amorim’s arrival, but he left Man Utd in January after butting heads with the head coach.

At the end of last year, Rashford announced his intention to leave Man Utd for a new challenge and he joined Aston Villa on loan with an option to buy for around £40m after he was linked with FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Juventus.

Rashford is enjoying his football at Aston Villa, grabbing three goals and four assists in his eleven appearances across all competitions.

It remains to be seen whether Aston Villa will sign him permanently this summer, but Amorim recently remained tight-lipped on the forward when asked about his form.

A report from Football Insider claims Rashford’s ‘Man Utd career is over’ as there is ‘no way back’ for him under Amorim.

‘Rashford will leave Man United on a permanent deal this summer following his return from Aston Villa, sources have told Football Insider.

‘Unai Emery’s side have a £40million option to buy at the end of the season, but they are expected to face competition for his signature.

‘Rashford’s role in their recent success has not gone unnoticed and all parties are now keen to agree a deal that would see him remain in the West Midlands.

‘United are expected to facilitate a permanent move, but will aim to maximise their profits on his sale.’

Man Utd, Arsenal blow as £68m target ‘wants’ to ‘complete’ Chelsea transfer with ‘sights set’ on ‘favoured’ move

According to reports, Napoli outcast Victor Osimhen is ‘favouring’ a summer move to Chelsea amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years, but he was priced out of a transfer before the 2024 summer window.

The Nigeria forward’s situation changed last summer as he butted heads with the hierarchy at Napoli, who looked to offload their pricey asset following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku.

Osimhen attracted interest from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain towards the end of last summer’s window, but the two sides failed to agree on a late loan deal. Instead, he joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on loan as a stop-gap option.

The prolific forward has been superb for Galatasary this season, grabbing 28 goals and five assists in his 32 appearances.

Galatasaray presumably would love to keep Osimhen, but he is likely to secure a permanent move elsewhere with Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd in the market for a striker and mooted as possible destinations.

Now, a report from Football Transfers claims Chelsea has decided that he ‘wants’ to sign for Chelsea and is ‘set’ on joining the Premier League giants after a proposed move fell through last year.

The report notes Chelsea are also interested in Ipswich Town standout Liam Delap, but they are ready to ‘rekindle their interest in Osimhen, who is ‘favouring’ a switch to Stamford Bridge.

The report explains:

‘Chelsea are determined to sign a new centre forward during the 2025 summer transfer window and the west London giants are ready to rekindle their interest in Osimhen, FootballTransfers has been told.

‘We have been informed that Osimhen has set his sights on completing a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, with the Blues interested in signing the 26-year-old as they look to purchase a prolific goalscorer ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

‘FootballTransfers understands that Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap is also a major target for Chelsea, although it’s anticipated that the Blues will reignite their pursuit of Osimhen when the summer window opens.

‘The Nigeria superstar has been heavily linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, amid Ruben Amorim’s determination to sign a new striker, but we understand that Osimhen currently favours a move to Stamford Bridge.

‘The 26-year-old will be available for a fee of between €75-80 million (a maximum of £68m), due to a release clause in his Napoli contract, and he is expected to leave the Serie A giants on a permanent deal this summer.’

Picture: United wonderkid issues three-word injury update just before Manchester derby, Amorim will be delighted

Manchester United’s injury cloud is slowly clearing ahead of crucial April fixtures with Kobbie Mainoo nearing a return to action as revealed by Ruben Amorim.

Harry Maguire and Mason Mount made their comebacks in the previous game against Nottingham Forest and both came closest to restoring parity.

Luke Shaw is also close to a return while Amad is expected to be back before the season concludes. Lisandro Martinez is the only player out for the season.

There were fears that Ayden Heaven had joined him when he was stretchered off during the Premier League game against Leicester City before the international break.

Heaven injury update

But the injury is not as bad as feared and the centre-back is no longer using a protective boot. And now, the ex-Arsenal starlet has provided an injury update on his Instagram account.

The 18-year-old wrote, “Soon back Reds!”, indicating an imminent return to action. Whether he makes it to the Manchester derby matchday squad remains doubtful.

But hopefully, he should be present for the all-important Europa League quarter-final against Olympique Lyon with the competition United’s last chance at securing Champions League football for next season.

Ayden Heaven via his Instagram story:

— SCOOP. (@AcademyScoop) April 4, 2025

Heaven has shown during his first team appearances that he can be a key asset, impressing in the left centre-back position in the absence of Martinez.

In fact, despite his age, it was Heaven who looked the most accomplished United defender against the Foxes before his untimely injury.

Club legend Wayne Rooney was effusive in his praise of the centre-back, claiming the England U19 international looked like he was playing senior football for a long time.

“Obviously, it is a huge football club, but at this time now where it is not maybe going right, to come in and play for Manchester United at 18, it is a lot of pressure.

Great displays in a United shirt

“Those expectations are on you from the first minute. But I think in the games he has played, I think he has been fantastic. I came in as an 18-year-old at Manchester United and you do feel that pressure.

“But to come in as a centre-back, which is a position where you cannot afford to make mistakes as you get punished, it is very difficult. But he looks like he has been there for years – and that is the biggest compliment I can give him.”

So impressive has Heaven been that the 20-time English league champions have recalibrated their summer transfer plans since his emergence.

Jarrad Branthwaite was being eyed to strengthen the backline since Martinez is sidelined till next year but the January arrival has been deemed to be good enough to replace the World Cup winner and hence, there is no need to splash the cash to land the Everton ace.

Ex-United star Mason Greenwood lambasted by Marseille teammate Rabiot for frustrating reason – report

Ex-Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood’s work ethic has reportedly left his Olympique de Marseille teammates, including Adrien Rabiot, frustrated.

Greenwood needed little time to establish himself as Marseille’s most potent attacker after moving to the south of France last summer from United in a deal worth £26.6million.

The 23-year-old has scored 15 goals in the Ligue 1 this season — second only to Paris Saint-Germain talisman Ousmane Dembélé.

However, the Englishman has lost his way in France at a similar pace and is not even a guaranteed starter under Roberto De Zerbi at the moment.

Last month, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Greenwood was involved in a heated exchange with his manager, who was not satisfied with his attitude in training.

The ex-Brighton & Hove Albion boss dropped the United academy product to the bench against RC Lens and then PSG before the international break.

Greenwood returned to the starting lineup against Reims but failed to make any difference, as the Phocaeans succumbed to their fourth defeat in five league matches.

According to La Provence (via Foot 01), Marseille’s management and coach “expect more from him. So do his teammates.”

A source close to the Marseille players insisted: “His teammates are tired of waiting for the stroke of genius. They’re making the effort and they need to see him put on his overalls.”

In particular, the Marseille number 10 attracted Rabiot’s wrath against Reims last weekend.

It is suggested that the French midfielder was “targeting” Greenwood and his “nonchalance”.

The situation has put his future at Marseille in doubt as the Ligue 1 outfit have no intention of keeping players who are not keen on working hard, irrespective of their immense skill sets in possession.

If Greenwood is shown the exit door, United would be handed a significant financial boost in the summer as the club’s hierarchy included a 50 percent sell-on clause into their agreement with Marseille.

Man Utd to ‘submit’ £85m ‘offer’ to ‘secure’ Real Madrid star with INEOS ‘determined’ to pull off shock transfer

According to reports, Manchester United are ‘preparing’ to ‘submit’ a huge ‘offer’ to Real Madrid as they are ‘determined’ to sign Federico Valverde.

The Red Devils are enduring a woeful season as they are set to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League. This means they need to win the Europa League to earn a place in Europe in 2025/26.

Man Utd have gradually improved in recent weeks, but their squad is not suited to head coach Ruben Amorim‘s preferred 3-5-2 formation and a squad overhaul is required this summer.

However, it’s been widely reported that they need to sell to buy this summer, with their budget tight after investing huge fees to land their top targets.

Marcus Rashford and Antony could make their exits permanent for around £40m each, while Man Utd could also offload Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo in pure profit transfers.

READ: Big Weekend: Man Utd v Man City, Nottingham Forest, Kiwior, Slot, Postecoglou misery-enders

Upgrades are required in various positions to improve Amorim’s chances of making his system work, but their recent miserable could impact their hopes of landing top targets and they surely have no hope of landing Valverde.

The Real Madrid star is one of the world’s most gifted midfielders and has expertly filled in for Dani Carvajal at right-back in recent matches.

Valverde has eight goals and seven assists in 46 appearances this season and is under contract until 2029.

He would be daft to leave Real Madrid for Man Utd, but a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes claims they are ‘preparing’ an ‘offer’ worth 100 million euros (£85m) to sign the midfielder.

👉 Arsenal, Man Utd target Viktor Gyokeres ‘indicates first choice’ transfer amid two ‘key’ details
👉 Man United vs Man City prediction, expected line-ups, how to watch and stats

Regarding Real Madrid’s stance on Valverde and the reasons for Man Utd’s apparent interest, the report claims:

‘Manchester United is determined to strengthen its midfield ahead of next season and has set its sights on Federico Valverde as a key player in its new project. The English club, now under the management of Ruben Amorim, plans to submit a €100 million offer to Real Madrid to secure the Uruguayan midfielder’s services.

‘United believes his signing would be a strategic move not only to strengthen the team in the short term, but also to establish a solid foundation for the future. The Old Trafford board sees Valverde as a player with leadership and potential, capable of becoming a key player in the Premier League.

‘However, Real Madrid is in no rush to sell. With a contract until 2029 and a crucial role in Ancelotti’s squad, Real Madrid won’t make his exit easy. Although Manchester United’s offer is significant, it remains to be seen whether it will be enough to convince Real Madrid’s board to part ways with one of their most important players.’

Despite Amorim’s public backing, United star drops exit hint which will spark panic among the fanbase – report

Plenty of brickbats were aimed at Alejandro Garnacho following Manchester United’s 0-1 Premier League defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.

The Argentine put in a frustrating display at the City Ground, managing six shots with none of them on target. His poor finishing has come under the scanner recently and it has come at the worst possible time for Ruben Amorim.

The Argentine has nine goals and eight assists this season and is only 20 but given the financial situation at the club, he is no longer considered untouchable.

The head coach has backed the Carrington graduate to come good eventually but there are growing concerns over his long-term future at the club.

Garnacho’s future up in the air

It is no secret that Amorim needs reinforcements and player sales will be needed to afford big-name purchases. And with the sale of academy graduates constituting pure profit, Garnacho could be the one to make way.

There was interest from Napoli and Chelsea in January and the Serie A giants are expected to return for him in the summer as well with the Red Devils hoping to earn a record fee from his sale.

To add fuel to these exit rumours, The Sun have now reported that the Argentina international has discreetly put his house up for sale after buying the seven-bedroom mansion last year.

Garnacho had spent £3.804 million in April last year for the lavish property in Bowdon, Greater Manchester and is reportedly willing to let it go for £3.85m – a profit of just £45,000.

Discreetly puts up house for sale

The agent has been authorised to keep the sale quiet but an eagle-eyed fan spotted the listing before telling the publication, “It’s not unusual for a footballer to put their house up for sale.

“But it is unusual to try and sell a property less than 12 months after buying it, and for just £45,000 more than he paid for it.

“The fact he has asked for it to be listed discreetly is worrying for United fans who like him as a player as it looks like he’s on the move in more ways than one.”

It seems the Argentine wants to get rid of the house in a hurry judging from the sale price and if this news turns out to be true, the versatile winger might be on his way.

Fans have kept backing him despite his recent missteps and it could be a huge blow to lose an Academy wonderkid like him. The ball seems to be in INEOS’ court at the moment.
