Amorim ‘backs’ Man Utd plan to re-sign former player before Tottenham swoop

New Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim is supporting the Premier League club’s plan to re-sign Angel Gomes in the summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils replaced Erik ten Hag – who could only guide Man Utd to three wins in their opening nine Premier League matches – with Amorim earlier this month as they aim to change their fortunes on the pitch.

Amorim has a tough job on his hands with the Red Devils currently 13th in the Premier League table after interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy put an extra four points on the board in his two matches in charge.

The Portuguese coach’s first match in charge is on Sunday against newly-promoted Ipswich Town at Portman Road with Kieran McKenna’s side winning their last match 2-1 against Tottenham.

Amorim reportedly intends to use the 3-4-3 formation, which served him well at Sporting Lisbon, and it could take a while for the new Man Utd boss to implement his ideas on the training ground with a busy festive schedule on the horizon.

Man Utd could attempt to bring in new players in the January transfer market, where they can afford them, but it is likely that Amorim will have to wait until the summer for any serious signings.

And now The Sun claim that Amorim is ‘backing’ Man Utd as they look to re-sign Lille midfielder Angel Gomes on a free transfer before next summer.

Former Old Trafford academy product Gomes – who is also a transfer target for Tottenham – ‘remains a major target’ under the new Man Utd boss and ‘transfer gurus Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox believe the four-cap England star can be a crucial part of new boss Amorim’s masterplan for success’.

The report adds: ‘The Portuguese coach is right behind the possible move because he is a long-time admirer of the 24-year-old midfielder.’

Speaking last month, Gomes hinted at a potential return to Man Utd: “There’ll always be that sentimental soft spot, so of course it’d be difficult to say no.”

But former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon reckons Gomes would suit a move to the Gunners in the summer as Man Utd could face a fight for his signature.

Dixon told plejmo.com: “He’s a very good link-up player and we’ve seen that he can play alongside Declan Rice.

“He’s got a lot of potential and although there will be plenty of clubs looking at him, I could see him at Arsenal next season.”

“That gnawed at me”: Former United striker blames Ten Hag for his lacklustre Old Trafford spell

Former Manchester United striker Wout Weghorst has blamed Erik ten Hag for his lack of goals whilst at the club.

The signing of the Dutch forward raised more than a few eyebrows as he was brought in on loan in January 2023 from Burnley.

He would go on to play a rather significant role for the rest of the season, playing 31 times for the club and scoring two goals.

Reflecting on his time at the club to the Manchester Evening News he claimed, “they were super successful months in which we hardly lost…I was also very important for the team as both a focal point of play and the hard-working link between midfield and attack.”

Instead of blaming himself for numerous missed chances he decided to aim his fire on Ten Hag’s tactics.

“Only my goals were lagging behind. That gnawed at me and was the reason why I lost my starting place. The Premier League is by far the toughest league in the world, with the best defenders. But we were rarely the dominant side creating chances. And the way we played was also different from what I was used to.”

He exclaimed that while he was in Turkyie and Germany, his teams used to “play for him” while at United he had to “ensure others would excel”.

Elaborating on his first experience of Old Trafford, when he went to watch United beat Manchester City 2-1 in January 2023 he waxed lyrical over the atmosphere of the stadium.

“I entered that magical stadium for the first time in my life and when I sat down in my seat, looked around and took in the chanting of the fans, it hit me hard.”

“That was the moment when I realised this is my club now. Then I watched one of the greatest football matches on earth. Of course I had dreamed about this as a young boy. But to see it actually happen made me shiver.”

Weghorst claimed that he had basically no adjustment period, as is typical of mid-season signings and also bemoaned that he was held back by shyness in his first few months at the club.

“Maybe I was too humble. But I will never forget my goal at Old Trafford against Real Betis. The fans were super crazy about me because they also saw that I was doing everything for it. I’m quite proud that I got this far.”

Weghorst would later leave Burnley on loan again after he departed United in the summer of 2023 for TSG Hoffenheim in Germany, before securing a permanent move to Ajax this summer, where he has scored four goals in 11 appearances.

Italian giants plan to “launch assault” for United’s £36.5m man in the summer – report

Juventus are keen to sign Czech forward Patrik Schick in January as they wait to launch an attack for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee in the summer.

The Dutch striker impressed massively in Italy last season for Bologna as he won the best under 23 player in Serie A last year.

Zirkzee’s career at Old Trafford got off to the perfect start as he netted the winner against Fulham on the opening day of the season but it has fallen to pieces since.

His form for United and his national team have fallen off a cliff lately and he seems bereft of confidence and ideas on how to survive in the Premier League.

Subsequently, there have already been numerous links to a move away from the club as United are reportedly hot on the trail of Ruben Amorim’s former striker at Sporting Lisbon, Viktor Gyokeres.

One club that have been heavily linked to a move for Zirkzee are Juventus, largely due to the fact that they are trained by his former coach at Bologna, Thiago Motta.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via calciomercato) report that “Juventus are working to verify the availability of the German champions to loan Schick in January.”

This is because they want to find an able deputy for first choice striker Dušan Vlahović.

Schick “would be a bridging solution while waiting to launch the assault on Manchester United to try to bring the Dutchman Zirkzee, already trained by Thiago Motta in Bologna, back to Italy in view of the next summer market.”

The Dutch forward is said to be open to a return to Serie A as he has failed to come to terms with the pressure of playing for United in the Premier League.

What’s more, the Red Devils’ new head coach, Ruben Amorim’s preferred striker type is more in the mould of Rasmus Hojlund than Zirkzee, placing his future in massive doubt.

Zirkzee has scored just the one goal in 17 matches this season for United and will be desperate to get back to something like his form in Italy as the Premier League season really kicks into gear, with the festive period of fixtures about to commence.

Manchester United jewel and club-record signing among £157.1m worth of summer buys yet to debut

There are back-up keepers but also a record transfer and a Manchester United jewel among the Premier League summer signings we have still yet to see debut.

Neto (Arsenal)
Considering the Brazilian promised to “give everything for Arsenal” when he joined, supporters will be in for a treat when Neto is rolled out for the FA Cup third round. It seems unlikely his “dream” involved forming his own grooves on the bench but the life of a back-up goalkeeper chose him.

Aaron Ramsdale needed replacing and his opportunities last season are instructive: 11 appearances, of which six were after early September, with a further three of those coming against Brentford.

With David Raya’s feet firmly settled under the Emirates table after his initial loan spell – and Neto being cup-tied in the Carabao – some already meagre minutes as Arsenal’s stand-in keeper are only further diminished. But that debut in a chastening defeat away at lower-league opposition in January will be special.

Igor Thiago (Brentford)
Only Tottenham have scored more Premier League goals this season than Brentford
, but while Dominic Solanke has made a telling contribution as his new club’s record signing, the Bees have reached remarkable levels of proficiency entirely without theirs.

Thomas Frank is “looking forward to getting him in the team, to have extra firepower up front,” but Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo have hardly struggled in Igor Thiago’s absence.

The Bees announced his £30m arrival in January and lost the forward to a knee injury in July. Between his new teammates embracing the goal burden and Ivan Toney’s risible form in the second half of last season, Thiago should not actually feel too much pressure to hit the ground running.

Gustavo Nunes (Brentford)
Flying in under Thiago’s radar was Gustavo Nunes, a fellow Brazilian signed from Gremio for a not inconsiderable £10m. The pair have bonded in no small part because of injuries, which have stunted matters on the playing side but at least allowed for time to acclimatise to a new country away from the spotlight.

There is hope from Frank that their relationship “will also materialise on the pitch”, with the trickery of winger Nunes complementing the physical, aggressive centre-forward stylings of Thiago. Their respective appearances in a recent in-house friendly suggest that theory could be put to the test soon.

Omari Kellyman (Chelsea)
“I’m buzzing to have put on the shirt and can’t wait to get started,” said a teenager seemingly blissfully unaware of his role as a pawn in some PSR-taking antics this summer.

The story is common knowledge. Aston Villa signed Kellyman for £600,000 in March 2022. He played 148 first-team minutes, the vast majority of which came in a Europa Conference League qualifying play-off. His value nevertheless soared by more than 3,000% when Chelsea came calling in June 2024 – purely coincidentally a) at the same time Ian Maatsen was traded between the two clubs and b) in time for it to appear on the relevant financial accounts.

A long-term hamstring injury has largely spared Kellyman the ignominy of being a £19m signing reserved purely for U21 duty and allowed everyone to keep up the pretence that he might have played. Mind you, with his Europa Conference League pedigree the continent’s giants would have been quaking.

Asmir Begovic (Everton)
Fair play to Begovic, who played ten games in two seasons after joining Everton as a free agent in 2021, then moved to QPR and played all but their final match of the 2023/24 Championship campaign, before returning to Goodison Park to not play at all. Keep up the hustle, fella.

Armando Broja (Everton)
The next locker along at Finch Farm belongs to Broja. Probably. Not sure really. It definitely isn’t Oumar Niasse’s. Sean Dyche might not even believe in woke nonsense like lockers or personal possessions.

Broja would at least be used to having some first-team facilities taped off after spending a short time among Enzo Maresca’s exiled few at the start of the season. That cannot have come as a surprise for a player who could most recently be found on Fulham’s bench.

The Albanian is yet to make it that far for Everton due to an Achilles injury which scuppered a proposed move to Ipswich but the Toffees were ready to sanction with a £30m buy option as long as Chelsea paid his wages until he regained fitness. All parties will hope that direct debit can end soon.

Michael Golding (Leicester City)
In some more understated summer asset-shifting, Chelsea shipped Michael Golding over to Leicester for £5m soon after signing £30m Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The 18-year-old is “just loving life at Leicester” and likely arrived with no guarantees over game time as a player with one senior career minute dropped into a Premier League relegation battle with a promoted club under a new manager.

Leny Yoro (Manchester United)
In Old Trafford terms, following in the footsteps of Wilfried Zaha is not to be advised. The bar is certainly low for Leny Yoro as a Manchester United player who never featured for the manager who signed him.

Erik ten Hag cited Yoro as a player he needed time and patience to “build” but fate dictated that the Dutchman expended both virtues by the time those foundations could be properly laid. The centre-half was injured within half an hour of his first game in pre-season, a week after joining, and has only recently returned to full training.

Those tantalising clips of Ruben Amorim’s first session with his new squad included a generous helping of Yoro footage; it can be fairly safely assumed that a £58.9m defender might be prominent in plans for both the immediate and long-term future.

John Ruddy (Newcastle United)
Eddie Howe felt Ruddy “has a huge amount of experience and adds a level of support and competition that we need”. Newcastle have four other first-team keepers so the 38-year-old better have plenty of “support” to give.

Wes Foderingham (West Ham United)
Thomas Kaminski is the only goalkeeper to ever concede more goals in a single Premier League season (85) than Foderingham, who shipped 79 as both surrendered themselves to Premier League relegation in 2023/24.

Except Foderingham decided he was no longer about that life and the 33-year-old instead parlayed some historically dreadful numbers into his transition to full-time third-choice goalkeeper. But he might have made a mistake picking West Ham: their form and Alphonse Areola’s recent absence has promoted Foderingham to the bench, perilously close to the actual action.

Bastien Meupiyou (Wolves)
Even if the 18-year-old himself had not been swept up by the current centre-half injury crisis engulfing Wolves, it seems unlikely that Bastien Meupiyou would have been deemed a possible solution.

Wolves rate the Frenchman particularly highly – sporting director Matt Hobbs waxed lyrical about his “incredibly high ceiling” a couple of months ago – but these are not conducive circumstances into which a new player should be introduced.

“The attraction for me lies in…”: Lightning-quick attacker finally breaks his silence on United’s interest in him

Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane has finally responded to the ongoing transfer rumours linking him with a potential summer move to Manchester United.

Sane joined Bayern in 2020 after a very successful spell with Manchester City, where he won two Premier League titles.

He was a regular starter at Bayern until the appointment of Vincent Kompany as manager. The former Belgium international has so far demonstrated a preference for other wide options including Michael Olise, Jaman Musiala and Kingsley Coman.

This has led to speculation over Sane’s future in Bavaria, especially considering his contract is set to expire at the end of the current season.

Rarely are players of Sane’s quality and reputation available as free agents and it’s believed that United are among a number of parties keen on taking advantage of this opportunity.

A previous report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the Red Devils made an enquiry for Sane. Old Trafford has been mentioned as a serious destination for the lightning-quick 28-year-old.

Arsenal are also thought to be interested in Sane.

The Bayern star spoke to BILD and opened up on the reports suggesting he could be on his way back to England.

“I have confidence in myself, in the situation and also in my club. We are in a transparent and relaxed exchange.”

“I feel really good, the talks with Vinni [Kompany], Max Eberl and Christoph Freund are very good and trusting. That’s why my thoughts are currently only on Bayern, we will see everything else in the next few weeks and months.”

“The topic [money] is not on my mind at all right now. And how much I earn is not my top priority. To be honest, I haven’t thought about it for a second.”

He remarked about his relationship with Kompany, “We both actually know each other well. Under Vinni, we play a good offensive style of football. We have fun on the pitch under his leadership, that is important to me and of course plays a role in my decision.”

Sane added, “I will definitely not sign for another club on January 1 or 2. I don’t need a quick decision.”

On a comeback to the Premier League, he explained, “I have a sympathy for the league, I still watch certain games on TV. The attraction for me lies in the club where I can show my best performance, develop and win titles. I have that at Bayern. This is where I have my greatest challenge and goals.”

United are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Portman Road to meet Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town.

Amorim targeting jaw-dropping January as he hands United blockbuster three-man transfer demand – report

Ruben Amorim has drawn up a blockbuster three-man shortlist of players he wants Manchester United to sign in January, according to reports in Spain.

Fichajes claim that the new United boss wants to bring in Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton, Viktor Gyokeres from former employer Sporting Lisbon and Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

The report must be taken with a huge pinch of salt, given that the three players would cost in the region of £200 million.

It has widely been reported that Amorim will be granted a much tighter budget than his predecessor, Erik ten Hag, but even he could surely have only dreamed of such a decadent January window.

Not to mention Amorim’s apparent gentleman’s agreement not to raid Sporting for any players until the summer at least.

That said, all three players would be of considerable use to the Portuguese tactician as he looks to revolutionise the Red Devils.

Towering centre-back Branthwaite, who United pursued in the summer before plumping for Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro, is reportedly seen as “an ideal piece to strengthen United’s backline”.

Gyokeres has taken Europe by storm with his jaw-dropping goalscoring antics for Sporting so far this season. He has netted 23 times in just 18 games – that’s almost twice as many as United’s entire squad has managed in the Premier League up to now.

And Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli after a breakdown between the parties in the summer, is also in fine form.

He has scored eight goals in nine games, and supplied four assists for the Turkish giants.

Fichajes admit that he is not Amorim’s first choice, but explain that he is seen as “a quality alternative”.

The report is hazy about who exactly he is an alternative to – it seems logical that it would be Gyokeres, but Fichajes double down on “Amorim’s commitment to these three players”.

In all honesty, United are unlikely to get even one of the trio over the line in January, but if nothing else the Spanish outlet are probably on to something when they speak of Amorim’s “intention to revitalise Manchester United with young and proven talent”.

Manchester United Women made it two wins from two in the League Cup as we beat Everton 2-0 at Walton Hall Park.

It was a night which saw Marc Skinner make several changes and hand debuts to two stars who have come back from serious knee injuries – Emma Watson and Jess Simpson.

Anna Sandberg also impressed on her first start as the Reds put in a near-flawless performance.

A first-half own goal followed by a Maya Le Tissier volley in the second sealed the points in Merseyside, as United sit top of our group with one game left to play.

A fabulous team effort made the poll tough for United fans and three standout individual displays were separated by just two points at the top.

Maya Le Tissier putting in a captain’s performance just edged the result, as our no.4 earned a majority 17 per cent of the vote.

The England international commanded the Reds for the full 90 minutes, but it was her goal which really impressed, as she brought the ball down before powering it into the net, leaving goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan with no chance of saving it.

Coming a close second was Melvine Malard, who thought she had got the last touch on our opening goal before it was awarded as an own goal.

Hayley Ladd delivered the corner which Brosnan spilled into the path of Malard, but it was deemed to have gone over the line before the French forward got a touch.

However, our no.9 created plenty more chances and caused the Everton defence a lot of problems, to claim 16 per cent of the vote.

Man Utd: Amorim demand makes Liverpool target ‘top’ priority with two exits to solve ‘fundamental issue’

According to reports, Manchester United have made Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite their ‘top’ target ahead of the winter transfer window.

Branthwaite shone for Everton last season, enjoying a breakout season for his boyhood club following his impressive loan spell in the Eredivisie with PSV Eindhoven.

Man Utd made the 22-year-old their top target during the summer transfer window as it was their priority to sign new centre-backs after they were ravaged by injuries last season.

The Premier League giants had a couple of bids rejected for the Everton starlet and moved on to different targets after being priced out of a move for the Englishman.

Instead of Brantwaite, Man Utd invested around £100m to sign Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt from Lille and Bayern Munich respectively.

READ: Ruben Amorim already above Mikel Arteta in Premier League manager rankings

The Red Devils have appointed Ruben Amorim to replace Erik ten Hag and their new head coach is set to implement is preferred 3-4-3 formation.

This could lead to Man Utd re-entering the market for a new centre-back in January and a report from The Daily Mail claims Branthwaite ‘tops their Christmas list’ after Amorim demanded the Englishman as one of three signings.

The report says Branthwaite ‘continues to pique the interest of Man Utd’ and ‘more talks have been held’ regarding the possibility of making a move in January.

Though it also is noted that United’s ‘fundamental issue’ is ‘they need to sell players to generate necessary funds to consider buying new ones’.

United sporting director Dan Ashworth is said to be the ‘driving force’ behind their interest in Branthwaite and two exits could increase their chances of signing him in the winter.

‘Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof are both out of contract at the end of the season while Harry Maguire has a 12-month extension option on his deal, which is set to see his contract run until 2026.

‘Sources have stressed that United must sell to help finance any move for Branthwaite and ideally money is generated from centre back sales, which makes the handling of Maguire’s deal moving forward an area of interest.

‘An alternative would be funds raised by moving Antony on, who has struggled badly since his £82m move across from Ajax.

‘Over the past three seasons United have posted losses before tax of £312.9m and Ineos and the footballing board must continue to be creative to improve on-pitch performance while reducing costs to ensure they comply with the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules and UEFA’s financial sustainability regulations.

‘Following well-documented interest from United over the summer, Branthwaite has since refused to sign a new contract at Goodison Park with Everton having held firm to their £70m valuation for the player.

‘He still has three years left on his current deal, understood to be worth around £70,000-a-week, but boss Sean Dyche recently admitted he is powerless to keeping his star defender if the right offer arrives.’

Picture: Bruno Fernandes enjoys his first United training session under Amorim, spotted with handful of academy gems

Manchester United’s big hitters are slowly returning from international duty with Bruno Fernandes joining Wednesday’s training session at Carrington.

This was the skipper’s first session with new head coach Ruben Amorim after he returned early from international duty. The session included a friendly game between the players which the Portuguese’s team ended up winning.

The 30-year-old put up a social media post declaring his team winners, presumably against Kobbie Mainoo’s team as the caption read, “Winning team, Try again next time Kobbie.”

It will be interesting to see where the former Sporting Lisbon boss plays the Portugal international. His system does not necessarily need an attacking midfielder but Mason Mount was spotted playing up top on Monday.

The former Sporting star’s versatility means he can also play alongside the striker or even as one of the double pivots in the centre of the park.

The session also included Amad Diallo, Mount, Tyrell Malacia, Marcus Rashford, and Casemiro among senior stars while the opposite team’s composition is not known fully.

A whole host of academy stars were also present like Ruben Curley, Hubert Graczyk, Godwill Kukonki, Daniel Armer, and Will Murdock, just to name a few.

Amorim has already shown he is not afraid of utilising youngsters and plenty of academy stars will be eager to catch his eye in the coming weeks.

Amorim’s first test

More internationals are expected back in the coming days and Amorim can then begin training with his full squad in earnest. However, he is not expected to have too much time ahead of Sunday’s test against Ipswich Town.

Irrespective of the result, the coach has assured that the beginnings of an idea can be spotted even in the opening games and fans will be intrigued to find out if his preferred 3-4-3 system can translate into success at Old Trafford.

From positional tweaks to personnel alterations, Amorim has not been afraid to ring in the changes during training and hopefully, the players can adapt to the coach’s demands.

After all, he has impressed plenty of the stars with his self-belief with many even claiming he is like a younger Jose Mourinho.

Dominant United put two past Everton to secure progress in the Women’s League Cup

Manchester United made their way to Walton Hall Park Stadium to face Everton in the Women’s League Cup on Wednesday evening.

Marc Skinner made several personnel changes, with many players who took part in the win against Leicester City last weekend being handed a rest.

Phallon Tullis-Joyce started in goal with a defensive four of Jayde Riviere, Maya Le Tissier, Millie Turner and Anna Sandberg ahead of her.

Hayley Ladd, Hinata Miyazawa and Emma Watson formed the midfield trio. Rachel Williams was tasked with leading the line and was flanked on either side by Geyse and Melvine Malard.

United started very well, pinning Everton back into their own half. The Reds appeared to be fully aware of Everton’s desire to play out from the back and they tried to force mistakes out of them by pressing aggressively – an approach that paid dividends.

Malard had a chance to shed first blood after Williams showed great strength to hold on to the ball before sending her through on goal. Malard attempted to find the near post with a clever effort but she dragged her shot wide.

United continued to search for ways to break down Everton’s stubborn defence, with Sandberg in particular proving lethal.

The summer signing combined well with Malard down the left and the pair looked to make things happen. Geyse and Riviere were also brilliant on the opposite side.

United finally got a reward for their efforts after around 15 minutes of play. Ladd sent in a good cross from a corner kick, which proved too difficult for Courtney Brosnan to bring under her spell. The Everton goalkeeper came under pressure from Malard and Williams and could only send the ball into the back of her own net.

Malard came close to doubling United’s lead as she connected with a brilliant cross from Sandberg after they were awarded a free-kick. On yet another occasion, Malard couldn’t hit the target.

Ladd, who was dominant in midfield, also fired a powerful shot from outside the box but she was thwarted by the crossbar. It seemed like Brosnan got a slight touch to keep it from flying in.

Everton’s forays into United territory were few and far between each other. Their most threatening moment of the opening 45 minutes came when Toni Payne almost capitalised on some poor communication from Turner and Le Tissier but she was judged to have committed a foul.

Right before the break, the hosts were given a free kick in a promising position but Veatriki Sarri sent it well and truly over the bar and did not at all trouble Tullis-Joyce.

United picked up where they left off when the second period kicked off. They maintained their dominance, barely giving the Toffees a way out.

Around the 54th minute, Williams showcased excellent ball control, holding up play before threading a pass to Geyse. The skillful Brazilian forward delivered a cross, and in Everton’s attempt to clear, the ball fell to Ladd. However, her shot lacked power and was comfortably gathered by Brosnan.

A few moments later, Malard also sent in a cross from the left aiming for Williams, but the United striker couldn’t rise high enough to direct the ball on target.

Skinner brought in Celin Bizet and Jess Simpson in place of Riviere and Sandberg, who was sensational on her first competitive start for the club.

Bizet nearly made an instant impact when she delivered a cross into the far post but Williams couldn’t connect with it.

Malard was once again presented with a golden opportunity to get on the score sheet after some pitiful defending from the Toffees inside the box but her shot was wild and flew high.

United turned the screws on their hosts and this time, it was Watson who had a crack at goal but Brosnan was equal to the task and saved it.

Skinner made more changes, thrusting Leah Galton and Simi Awujo into the action. Williams and Geyse were taken off.

The substitutes contributed, helping to get United over the line. Galton nearly got on the score sheet when she produced an incredible touch and turn but her shot struck an Everton defender for the corner. Awujo injected energy and impetus into the midfield, although the final ball was lacking.

After multiple missed opportunities, United finally extended their lead courtesy of Le Tissier, who volleyed in the ball from a corner routine. There was another late chance for Malard but Brosnan saved her shot.

The victory has left United at the summit of Group A, having won all two of their games. Even better is that the Reds have now won two consecutive matches, which will bode well for the team’s confidence as they prepare for Sunday’s showdown WSL clash with Chelsea.
