Manchester United have omitted Antony and Jadon Sancho from the list of players’ names available to be printed on the back of the Red Devils’ new home shirt for next season.
But, interestingly, the club chose to include Marcus Rashford, despite the 27-year-old forward having spent the second half of last season on loan away from Old Trafford alongside Antony and Sancho.
Last week, United officially unveiled their new home kit for the 2025/26 campaign, adorned with a theme honouring the Theatre of Dreams.

20 players’ names are “currently listed on the United Store website for a customised shirt,” the Manchester Evening News reports.
But, despite the fact that both Antony and Sancho are set to return from their loan moves with Real Betis and Chelsea respectively, neither 25-year-old winger made the cut.
However, Antony’s name is available as an option on the Adidas website, the club’s sponsor and shirt creator, but then so are Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans, and Victor Lindelof – three players who are set to be released this month.
Sancho’s squad number at Old Trafford – no.25 – was taken by Manuel Ugarte after the English winger joined Chelsea on loan last summer. An buy clause was included in the deal but the West London side agreed to pay a £5 million penalty fee to annul the obligation.
This may be the reason why Sancho’s name was not included in either United’s list nor Adidas’. But then Rashford’s squad number – the esteemed no.10 – has been entrusted to new signing Matheus Cunha, further confusing matters.
All three players – Rashford, Sancho, and Antony – are expected to leave Old Trafford this summer regardless of their inclusion or exclusion from pre-season formalities.
United are hoping to buttress their transfer budget with sales as Ruben Amorim seeks to implement a comprehensive overhaul of his first-team squad following the club’s worst season in the Premier League era.
Cunha, 26, has already been captured from Wolverhampton Wanders for £62.5 million while a proposal worth £55 million was tabled for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. It was rejected by the Bees, but United are expected to return with an improved offer for the Cameroon international.
A new number nine is also considered an urgent priority while reinforcements in goal and central midfield are also on the agenda if finances permit.
This is why permanent exits for the three unwanted forwards, along with 20-year-old winger Alejandro Garnacho, are high on the agenda for Old Trafford executives, regardless of how many shirts they may sell this summer.
