United offered €20m star to replace Zirkzee in January, he’s miles better – report

Manchester United are open to tweaking their attack in the January transfer window. United spent north of £200m to revamp their attack over the summer, bringing in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to Old Trafford. The trio have looked sharp and promising during their early days at United. However, their arrival has pushed Joshua Zirkzee to the fringes. The Dutchman, signed from Bologna last summer for £36.5m, delivered several encouraging performances last term. He is still waiting for his first start this season. The Netherlands international has spent just 121 minutes on the pitch in all competitions. Manchester United prefer loan exit in January According to TEAMtalk, United are ready to let Zirkzee leave in January. AS Roma, Inter Milan, and Juventus have all reportedly discussed “cut-price” deals. Several Premier League clubs and La Liga outfit Sevilla are also monitoring the situation. However, United have “let it be known they are willing to sanction his exit, though the message is clear to his suitors: a permanent sale below €40m will not be sanctioned, but a loan – with or without an option to buy – appears their preferred route.” Joshua Zirkzee Stats: 2024/25 CompetitionMatchesGoalsAssistsYellow CardsRed CardsMinutes Played Premier League32322-1,394′ UEFA Europa League11211-531′ FA Cup31—185′ EFL Cup31—146′ Community Shield—— Total 24/2549733-2,256′ Source: Transfermarkt Zirkzee’s exit during the winter transfer window would also allow United to hand Amorim a new goalscorer mid-season. Man United offered Vlahovic It is understood the Red Devils have been offered Dusan Vlahovic amid his contract stand-off at Juventus. The 25-year-old, who is viewed as one of Europe’s most well-rounded number nines, has six goals and an assist to his name this campaign. Still, the Serbian’s future in Turin is uncertain, as he is in the final year of his contract at Juve. As things stand, he will be available as a free agent in the summer of 2026. With two parties yet to agree on terms for a renewal, Juventus will consider selling Vlahovic for around €20m in January. United are thought to be “informed of the situation” in Italy.  Featured image Francois Nel via Getty Images The Peoples Person has been one of the world’s leading Man United news sites for over a decade.
