Manchester United Women had numerous players in action for their nations on Friday evening. Phallon Tullis-Joyce The American keeper has had a great start to the season but she struggled in the United States’ 1-2 loss to Turkey. She made two saves inside the box but conceded two goals during the match. Tullis-Joyce only made 44% of her long balls and did not complete any high claims, punches or run outs during the match. Melvine Malard The French striker has been on fire in domestic action but failed to fire for France in a 0-1 loss to Germany. She came on as a substitute in the 71st minute and had two shots on goal. Malard also had one shot that was blocked but could only complete a poor two of her five pass attempts. Dominique Janssen The Dutch star put in a much more accomplished performance than her other United teammates on the international stage. She was crucial to the Netherlands’ 0-0 draw with Poland. Janssen won 100% of her tackles and made nine clearances during the match. The Dutch defender won both her ground duels and two of her three aerial battles. She was also solid in possession, completing 88% of her passes. Hinata Miyazawa The Japanese international has been integral to United’s fast start to the league and Champions League and she continued this fine form for Japan in their 1-1 draw with Italy. She contributed one assist in the match and completed an impressive 93% of her passes. The midfielder also made three interceptions and two tackles in an all-round display. Jayde Riviere The Canadian fullback played 90 minutes in her nation’s 0-1 defeat to Switzerland. She created one big chance and had a total of three key passes in the match. Riviere was also strong defensively, winning five ground duels and one of her aerial battles. She also won two tackles in the game. Anna Sandberg The Sweden international also got 90 minutes under her belt as her side were well beaten 0-4 by Spain. She won all four of her tackles and made three clearances. Sandberg also completed five ground duels and made 81% of her passes.
