United is delighted to welcome the Stretford Sikhs to its growing family of 329 official supporters’ clubs across 90 countries.

United in their love for the club, the Sikh supporters’ club follows Guizhou, Indonesia Bekasi, Panjabi Red Devils, Albuquerque Red Devils, Birmingham Alabama, and Manchester United Supporters Team in making their debut as an official supporters’ club since January 2025.

The Sikh Supporters’ Club is a non-geographical community of fans, welcoming supporters of shared faith and allies to come together and connect with fellow Reds from across the world. The club is excited to grow throughout the season with plans to host social meet-ups and events, and work with the club to improve experiences for Sikh fans on matchday.

To celebrate the launch, the Stretford Sikhs joined United legend, Denis Irwin, pitchside at our Emirates FA Cup fifth-round home fixture versus Fulham on Sunday.

United is committed to inclusivity within football and ensuring all fans feel welcome and safe in support of the club.

The launch of Stretford Sikhs supplements ongoing equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives such as the opening of an additional multi-faith room on the stadium footprint at Old Trafford with our official Muslim Supporters’ Club.

United have also become the first Premier League club to provide sanitation wastebins in male bathrooms in collaboration with BOG STANDARD, phs Group and Prostate Cancer, and held a Holocaust memorial event at Carrington last month, as part of our Academy enrichment programme.

The club launches a campaign with Prostate Cancer UK and phs Group to raise awareness of male incontinence.

Stretford Sikhs Secretary, Preetam Singh, said: “Becoming the first-ever official Sikh MUSC is bigger than just football. It’s about representation, showing Sikh fans around the world that we truly belong in the game and creating a legacy that will inspire current and future generations.

“Manchester United has always been about diversity and inclusion and for us to now be recognised officially by the club is a proud milestone. It’s a statement that football and Manchester United is for everyone, regardless of background or faith.”

Rick McGagh, director of fan engagement, said: “We are delighted to welcome the Stretford Sikhs to our global family of official supporters’ clubs. We look forward to working with them, and their members, to improve their experience and to bring more communities together.

“We work closely with our official supporters’ clubs to inform our thinking, to help reach our fans across the world, and to bring our fans closer to the club and players.

“I would encourage any fan who is considering joining a supporters’ club to do so or, if you are thinking about starting a new one, then get in touch and we can help you join the United family.”

JOIN THE FAMILY

All fans who come together to follow United are encouraged to start a supporters’ club; whether that’s via match screenings at a local venue, social meet-ups, community forums, or simply a group of friends with a shared interest, we’d love to hear from you.

Supporters can find out more about membership to the Stretford Sikhs by following @stretfordsikhs on Instagram or X.
