Man United captain Bruno Fernandes has been linked with a transfer move to Saudi Pro League clubs in January.

The Red Devils went into the international break in a much better position after they won 2-0 against Sunderland for what was their second win in three matches under manager Ruben Amorim. Much of the pressure on the United boss has been eased amid suggestions United could have sacked him.

Furthermore, the Red Devils will now be looking ahead to the January transfer window to work out how they can improve their squad to help Amorim bring success back to Old Trafford.

Midfielder Bruno Fernandes nearly left to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in the summer transfer window, but he ended up staying in the North West. However, there is expected to be renewed interest in Fernandes in the January transfer window from Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Hilal, Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad. But will the Man United captain leave in the next transfer window…?

Bruno Fernandes wants to stay at Man United

Several reports have said that Fernandes is close to leaving Old Trafford, however, a recent report by talkSPORT has said that Fernandes wants to stay at Man United, and that his stance hasn’t changed since the summer when he opted to remain at the club.

Fernandes’ contract is due to last until 2027, and so an exit in the summer transfer window is much more likely for the midfielder, especially with the World Cup coming in June, as he wants to continue playing at the top level in the Premier League.

It is likely that Saudi Pro League clubs will come in with bids for Fernandes in the summer, and there may be discussions with United then as it is unlikely that the 31-year-old will sign a new contract at Old Trafford beyond his current deal.
