What Amorim has told his friends following brutal United sack now revealed – Sky

The end always felt near when Ruben Amorim chose to make his grievances public following Sunday’s Premier League clash against Leeds United at Elland Road. Those incendiary comments were reviewed by INEOS, and soon after, Manchester United decided to sack the Portuguese after a dismal 14 months in charge. His style of play has proven to be an ill fit at the club, while results have been disastrous to say the least. And his emotional outbursts have not helped. The former head coach left his own players fuming after he called the team “the worst in the club’s history”. Ruben Amorim was left devastated He had time and again reiterated that he was ready to walk without taking any sort of compensation, but that certainly changed following the draw at Leeds on Sunday. The Portuguese almost challenged INEOS to sack him, and after a review, they did exactly that. Pictures and reports emerged of a smiling Ruben Amorim departing the club. However, as per Sky Sports, Ruben Amorim was left deflated by the decision as he wanted to stay and help the club qualify for the Champions League. However, in recent weeks, the ex-Sporting CP boss felt he was being micro-managed to a great degree while the external noise proved too much to handle at times. Outside noise affected him Interestingly, he has reportedly also told his friends that his emotional outbursts did not help his case either. I’m told Ruben Amorim is hurt by #mufc decision to sack him and he wanted to stay. Accepts results were poor but felt Champs Lg still achievable.
