The vote for Manchester United Women’s December 2024 Player of the Month is now open.
Four Reds stood out among their team-mates across our three fixtures this month, as Marc Skinner’s side took six points from two league games against Liverpool (4-0) and Crystal Palace (1-0) as well as progressing in the League Cup thanks to a 5-3 triumph over Newcastle United.
Read about the contributions of each of our nominees below, before casting your vote in our poll.
PHALLON TULLIS-JOYCE
Our no.91 kept another two clean sheets in December, taking her tally up to seven in 10 WSL games so far this season, with a total of just three goals conceded.
Phallon has the highest save percentage in the WSL this season and has saved more big chances (nine) than all but one of the league’s other goalkeepers, behind only Shae Yanez of Crystal Palace (13).
GABBY GEORGE
Fresh off the back of a first England call-up since 2022, Gabby made it an end of the year to remember by netting her first Manchester United goal.
A product of our Centre of Excellence, George returned to United in September 2023, after many years at Everton. An ACL injury interrupted her first season but her hard work on recovery has ensured she’s been reliably available throughout the first half of the 2024/25 campaign.
Goalscoring is certainly not her primary purpose, but it was certainly a special moment, and one she relished, when netting against Newcastle United in our 5-3 League Cup win.
She also played the full 90 minutes in our 4-0 victory over Liverpool and 71 minutes against Crystal Palace in our most recent game, a 1-0 win to round off 2024.
DOMINIQUE JANSSEN
The Dutch international defender also struck her first Reds goal this month, like team-mate George.
Having assisted Leah Galton earlier in the game, Janssen picked out the bottom-right corner from the edge of the box to score our third in the 4-0 win over Liverpool. She then provided the cross for Melvine Malard to wrap up the victory.
Janssen has played in all 10 of our WSL fixtures so far this season and was picked out for praise by Skinner for her defensive work against Liverpool, as well as her attacking contributions.
“She covers gaps that we couldn’t cover last year,” he said.
“There’s a lot of space covering that wouldn’t necessarily lead to chances, but it puts [the opponent] off playing that [pass]. We’re covering spaces really well in midfield and it gives protection to the backline.”

GRACE CLINTON
Our Player of the Month for September and October continued her excellent form with a fourth WSL goal of the campaign, already matching her tally from the whole of last season. And it was a decisive one, coming in first-half stoppage time against Crystal Palace and proving to be the winner in our final fixture of 2024.
Netting winning goals is what Grace does, having done the same on international duty this month, scoring her third England goal – in five appearances – in a 1-0 win over Switzerland.
