Fine form The United keeper has been in great form so far this season for Bristol City and he has so far established himself as the club’s undisputed number one. Vitek has taken to the Championship like a duck to water but he has wobbled a little bit in the last two matches. The Czech roared back into form last night in a sensational effort to earn his side a valuable point in their promotion charge. Vitek vs Watford The Hornets’ laid siege to the Robins’ goal but Vitek repelled them time and time again. He made nine stops in the match, with seven coming from shots that were inside the box. Vitek also made three punches to clear the danger from his box. The 22 year old could do little to stop Watford’s opener from a one-on-one but that was the only blemish on a fine record. Vitek reacted well to block a shot from distance through a crowded penalty area in the first half. The keeper also made an amazing intervention later in the second half when he got a big hand to an effort from incredibly close range that guided the ball away from Bristol City’s goal. His last major action prevented the home side from winning the match late on when he stopped an effort with his legs after getting down well to block all angles. Vitek made three clearances and also completed 57% of his passes. He will next be in action when Bristol City welcome Swansea City to Ashton Gate on Saturday 22nd November after the international break.
