Video: 1 assist, 100% ground duels won: United loanee keeps up fine form in spite of cup heartache

Manchester United had one player in loan action on Tuesday night. To follow where all of Manchester United’s loanees are playing this season, click here. Rasmus Hojlund The Dane has scored 12 goals during his time at SSC Napoli. He had failed to score in the calendar year of 2026 until the end of January, when he netted against Chelsea in the Champions League. Hojlund followed this up with a match-winning double versus Genoa at the weekend. Match versus Como The southern Italian side faced Como in the Coppa Italia. They drew the match 1-1 and lost an epic penalty shootout 7-6. The Manchester United loanee impressed in the match, grabbing an assist for his side. The 23-year-old striker dropped deep and played a lovely first-time pass around the corner to set Antonio Vergara away, who made no mistake with a cool finish. He was substituted after 74 minutes and replaced by Romelu Lukaku. Hojlund did not have any shots on goal during the game, as he failed to trouble the Como goalkeeper in an impressive defensive display by the visitors. He was caught offside once but failed to complete any successful dribbles during his time on the pitch. The striker did impressively win all of his ground duels but could only come out on top in one of his four aerial battles with the visitors’ defence. Hojlund will next be in action on Sunday evening when AS Roma come to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Napoli will now have time to focus on their league title defence, having been knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the cup and already eliminated from the Champions League.
