United’s squad number changes

The announcement that Bryan Mbeumo will wear no.19 at Manchester United is the latest confirmation of squad position across the summer.
The Cameroon forward, signed from Brentford, takes over the slot last held by Raphael Varane, prior to the Frenchman leaving the club at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Matheus Cunha has taken on the no.10, while fellow new recruit Diego Leon has been handed the no.30.
With Victor Lindelof exiting on a free transfer and vacating the no.2 jersey, Diogo Dalot has moved into his place.
The right wing-back switched from the no.20 he has held since joining the Reds in 2018, although he did have a loan spell at Milan in 2020/21.
Christian Eriksen has left no.14 and Jonny Evans’s retirement means no.35 is also currently available.
