United Women’s pre-season schedule

Manchester United Women’s pre-season schedule has been confirmed, hot on the heels of the WSL fixture release.

Marc Skinner’s side discovered our league programme on Friday, starting at home to Leicester City on 7 September, and, of course, have a key Champions League date against PSV Eindhoven to look forward to before then, next month, as well.

The last of the newly released friendlies is being shown live on MUTV, as we are taking on Liverpool at Leigh Sports Village.

In addition to that clash with the Merseysiders, the week before the squad departs for Stockholm for the start of our European adventure, there are three other warm-up games.

Aston Villa come to Carrington on Sunday 3 August and, the following weekend, a Manchester derby is being held at the Etihad Campus.

Look out for a friendly during the summer camp in Marbella as well, with Real Betis providing the opposition.

Meanwhile, the trial for supporters to be permitted to drink alcohol at WSL games next season has been extended to include United, as one of 14 clubs involved in the project.

This will be for home matches at Leigh Sports Village and Old Trafford.
