United willing to make move for sensational Jorge Mendes’ client in deal that will shock everyone – report

Barcelona are sweating on the future of Lamine Yamal as Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United, are circling, as per reports.

Yamal is regarded as one of La Masia’s most promising talents in the past decade. Incredibly, at 17, the Spaniard has already cemented himself as Hansi Flick’s superstar attacker.

The sensational winger has managed an impressive 11 goals and 16 assists across all competitions this term and could lead Barca to domestic and European success.

The Blaugrana are leading the La Liga table and have also progressed to the round of 16 in the Champions League.

However, ahead of the summer transfer window, there are question marks over Yamal’s long-term future at the club.

Yamal is tied to the Camp Nou until the summer of 2026 and the upcoming transfer window might be Barcelona’s last chance to bag a considerable fee for their star, who is valued at around €180 million by Transfermarkt.

There have been suggestions that there is already a rough agreement in place to extend his contract until 2030. However, there is yet to be an official announcement.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United are “willing to take on the jewel” of the Catalan giants.

They are understood to be among the clubs “that have put the most pressure” as they explore the possibility of signing the Spain international.

It is claimed Real Madrid have also enquired about Yamal’s situation but it is understood that the Barca superstar, who is represented by Jorge Mendes, will only leave the club to play outside of Spain.

United have the lure of the Premier League to offer but with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool also interested, we are skeptical that the Red Devils will have any concrete chance of convincing Yamal to join their unstable project.

Further, considering INEOS’s recent cost-cutting measures, it is not far-fetched to assume the Mancunian giants are not in a position to sign Yamal, who is likely to be valued north of €100m by Barcelona should they reluctantly decide to part ways with him in the summer.
