Even with the £73.7 million summer swoop for Benjamin Sesko, there are still suggestions that United are not done in the striker market.
As raw as Sesko is, reports claim that if United are serious about helping him reach his potential, they will need to pair him with an experienced striker.
A seasoned forward could ease the 22-year-old’s workload, reduce the pressure, and allow him to develop into the elite striker many believe he can become.

Towards the end of the summer window, United were reportedly working on a deal to bring Danny Welbeck back to the Theatre of Dreams.
With his Premier League experience, Welbeck could have been the ideal mentor for Sesko, but that move fell through.
Whether the deal is revived in January remains to be seen. But will it, with the Harry Kane opportunity now there to be taken?
Kane January opportunity
Bild have dropped an intriguing update on Bayern Munich’s star striker.
The German outlet reports:
“Super striker Harry Kane (32) has a release clause in his contract with the Munich team and can leave the record champions in the summer under one condition!”
Well, that clause, worth £56.7 million, becomes active in the summer but only if Kane informs Bayern of his desire to leave before the end of the January window.
Almost every top Premier League club will be tempted to make a move for the England international and lure him back to English soil. But United should be looking to win this race.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is a known admirer of Kane. He sees him as the ideal striker to lead United back to glory. That, combined with the need for an experienced figure to help Sesko flourish, should push United to act decisively this winter.
Kane’s desire
The People Person have already relayed reports suggesting Kane, whose deal at the Allianz Arena runs until 2027, is eyeing a return to England next year.
Tottenham Hotspur hold a first-option clause in his contract, but with no fixed fee attached, they will have to pay the same as any other club to seal the deal.
Crucially, it has been revealed that United “currently provide the most likely destination.”
So, if United truly believe Kane is the man to lead their line, they will need to convince him by January to inform Bayern of his intention to leave for Old Trafford.
On the back of one of his finest starts to a league campaign, 10 goals and three assists, Kane remains as lethal as ever.
He may want to return and dominate the Premier League as if he had never left.
His top-flight experience and burning desire to become the league’s all-time top scorer should see him hit the ground running.
With 213 goals already to his name, United could be the platform for Kane to finally eclipse Alan Shearer’s record of 260 league goals and be the Premier League’s greatest marksman.
