Manchester United attacking prospect Gabriele Biancheri has been nominated for a top accolade, as his rise at the club continues. Biancheri knocking on first-team door Biancheri is one of a number of United youngsters making waves at Carrington and who are believed to have the ability to break into Ruben Amorim’s plans. He has been on an upward trajectory since joining United in February 2023 and he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. Biancheri was prolific for United last season, netting an impressive 21 goals while providing an additional six assists across all competitions. He has started the 2025/26 campaign in fine style, with his tally currently standing at four goals and two assists in seven Premier League 2 appearances. This haul includes a sensational hat-trick during last month’s dominant 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. He also assisted Diego Leon’s superb goal in the same contest. The 19-year-old’s superb displays have seen him earn a nomination for the latest Premier League 2 Player of the Month prize. Biancheri in frame for award The youngster has been named on a shortlist of eight talents battling it out for the coveted accolade in that tier of football. To win it, Biancheri will have to ward off competition from Luca Fletcher (Ipswich Town, on loan from Manchester City), Laurence Giani (Stoke City), Seb Naylor (Manchester City), Brandon Powell (Blackburn Rovers), Mahamadou Sangare (Manchester City), Luca Williams-Barnett (Tottenham Hotspur), Woody Williamson (Ipswich Town). The winner will be named on Friday at at 10:00 GMT. Biancheri was called up by Wales Under-21s to play in their Euro 2027 qualifier against Belarus later this week. He scored on his first start for the side in last month’s 2-0 away victory over Austria.
