United submit surprise €30m offer to sign Colombian striker enjoying “remarkable” form – report

Joshua Zirkzee grabbed his first goal of the season for Manchester United against Crystal Palace but his future at the club remains far from certain. Zirkzee didn’t start a game this term until late November. Ruben Amorim only turned to the Dutchman after an injury to his €85m signing, Benjamin Sesko. Zirkzee is thought to be “deeply frustrated” under Amorim, sparking interest from a host of Serie A clubs. It is understood the ex-Bologna forward has already “said yes” to joining AS Roma, who want to on loan. The Netherlands international’s exit would leave Sesko as the only senior option up front. Accordingly, United are reportedly looking to add more firepower to their attack. Manchester United keen on Cucho Hernandez According to Fichajes, Real Betis talisman Cucho Hernandez has attracted United’s interest after making a “remarkable” start to the season. The 26-year-old has scored six goals and registered two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions. The Colombian international is known for his link-up play and sharp movement in the final third. He’s always on the run, creating space for his teammates by dragging out defenders. The South American is also energetic in his pressing. Further, Hernandez has experience of English football, having played for Watford in the Premier League. Man United launch bid to sign Real Betis striker The Spanish outlet claim United have “already made an offer” of around €30 million to test Betis’ resolve.  Hernandez, who only moved to Seville early this year from MLS outfit Columbus Crew, has become an integral part of Manuel Pellegrini’s attack alongside ex-United winger Antony.  Pellegrini has no desire to part ways with the Colombian. However, it is believed that Betis might be tempted to accept United’s offer to balance the books amid financial fair play concerns.  Betis also face the possibility of losing Antony. The in-form Brazilian is allegedly being monitored by Real Madrid.
