Tottenham Hotspur were reportedly in advanced talks with the Argentina international, but their Premier League status hangs by a thread. United remain alive in the race for Marcos Senesi “Senesi has attracted interest from Spurs, who have indeed touched base with his representatives over a potential free transfer this summer. The Argentine is close to being a free agent as he’s decided he won’t sign a new contract at Bournemouth. “Sources in the industry said that Tottenham are indeed “in advanced talks” over signing Senesi, but nothing can be fully agreed until the club know if they’ll still be in the Premier League next season. “It may be that Senesi is leaning towards Spurs if they stay up, but my understanding is that other clubs like Liverpool remain in the race for his signature. “Senesi is one name they like, as is Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu. Both players are also on the radar of Manchester United as they’re another club in the market for someone in that position.” As things stand, the North London club still trail West Ham by two points in their quest to avoid the drop. That means United are well within touching distance of pulling off a deal for the “outstanding” Marcos Senesi.
