United star provides heart-warming moment for local woman suffering from illness

Manchester United’s young defender Leny Yoro has demonstrated his kindness with his latest gesture. Season to date The 2025-2026 campaign has been an unusual one for Yoro. The young French defender was outstanding in his first season in English football, arguably outperforming every other centre-back at the club. This season has been more of a challenge, with the likes of Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw regularly outperforming him. What’s more, he has been left out of the starting eleven in the last two Premier League matches after giving away a penalty and generally struggling against Crystal Palace. The youngster was visibly distraught at the end of the match at Selhurst Park at the end of November, in spite of an impressive win for Ruben Amorim’s side. Despite this, the 20-year-old has still been a regular in the team and has played 15 league matches this season, providing one assist against Fulham. Generosity off the pitch The Sun reports that Yoro has continued his impressive work off the pitch with a charitable act. The paper states that, “Leny Yoro has generously donated £1,500 to a Just Giving Page for a woman battling stage 4 Peritoneal cancer.” British actor Luca Toolan – “who played Mason Ratcliffe in the ITV soap Coronation Street – set up a 24-hour charity stream to raise money for a brave businesswoman called Karla Jordan.” The paper goes on to report that “Yoro – who is the top individual contributor – added a comment: ‘We’re all with you, Karla!’”. The young French star could return to action tonight when United welcome AFC Bournemouth to Old Trafford, knowing a victory would take them into the Champions League places.
