Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez has made a decision on his fitness as he looks to make a sensational return from injury. Martinez closing in on return Martinez has been sidelined since February, when he sustained an ACL injury during a home clash against Crystal Palace. He underwent successful surgery before embarking on a long journey to recovery, which he is in the final stages of completing. Last month, United confirmed that the World Cup winner had returned to full first-team training. Despite coming back, Martinez was not included in United’s matchday squads against Nottingham Forest and more recently, Tottenham Hotspur. Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff likely felt the defender was still not fit enough to contribute in either game. Martinez will undoubtedly be hoping to finally get back to action when club football returns after the November international break. A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Martinez could potentially train with Argentina and now, according to journalist Gaston Edul, Martinez has linked up with his fellow countryman despite not receiving a call-up. With Harry Maguire injured, Amorim and United will be keen for Martinez to be in top condition when he slots back into the team. The Red Devils are back in action on November 25 when they welcome Everton to Old Trafford. The Peoples Person has been one of the world’s leading Man United news sites for over a decade.
