United send “emissary” to escalate chase for Euro giants’ set-piece wizard, a double swoop is on the cards – report

One of the standout clashes in European football this weekend will arguably be Inter Milan versus Juventus at the San Siro. As the two Italian heavyweights lock horns, Manchester United’s scouts will be on a mission. Scouts dispatched According to Tutto Sport, Ineos have sent their emissaries to monitor Federico Dimarco and Pierre Kalulu, two of their leading summer targets. On Dimarco, the report states: “Manchester United are following him with great interest. The English club, in fact, will be watching him live through their own emissary tomorrow evening during the Derby d’Italia.” Meanwhile, on Kalulu, the Italian outlet confirms the scouting mission murmurs doing rounds, noting: “This will be the perfect opportunity for the Red Devils to keep an eye on another of their targets, Juventus’ Pierre Kalulu.” While it is encouraging to see United conducting due diligence, both deals appear highly improbable. Dimarco Dimarco is enjoying a brilliant season, with 6 goals and 13 assists in 31 appearances for the Nerazzurri. It makes little sense for Inter to sanction his departure. Unsurprisingly, Tutto Sport reveal: “Inter have no intention of letting go of one of their gems, who is considered unsellable around Viale della Liberazione.” There is even talk of the wing-back signing a new deal that could run until 2030. Should that materialise, prising him away would demand something extraordinary. Kalulu Juventus’ Pierre Kalulu is also on the rise, catching Ineos’ attention with his consistency. Yet, as United weigh up a move, the Old Lady are already working to fend off interest by offering the 25-year-old a new deal. The French man has featured in every minute of their Serie A campaign so far, underlining his importance. So, while United’s scouts may return with glowing reports on both Dimarco and Kalulu, securing either would require a truly special effort. Still, in football, nothing is ever impossible.
