United ready to sell promising star for around €40m, Fiorentina poised to make a shock move – report

Manchester United are willing to part ways with Joshua Zirkzee this summer, as per reports.

Rasmus Hojlund’s performance at Chelsea on Friday once again left United fans frustrated, as the Red Devils failed to make the most of their dominance in the opening 45 minutes at Stamford Bridge, ultimately succumbing to a 1-0 defeat.

In recent weeks, it has been widely reported that United will look to sell Hojlund this summer. Now, a report suggests even Zirkzee could leave as part of an attacking overhaul.

According to CaughtOffside, United are open to selling Zirkzee, who is attracting strong interest from clubs in Serie A.

The 23-year-old is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained in April at Newcastle United.

Before his injury, the Dutchman seemingly rediscovered his confidence in possession and looked promising as a wide playmaker.

However, the forward still underwhelmed in front of the net, having registered just three goals in the Premier League.

The clubs in Italy supposedly still admire the ex-Bologna man’s skill set. Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Inter Milan are keen on signing the player and are even preparing an offer.

As per CaughtOffside, Juventus also admire Zirkzee, while Fiorentina could also make a move if they lose their top scorer, Moise Kean.

United are understood to be among the clubs monitoring Kean.

It is further claimed that Zirkzee “can leave for less than €40m” after spending just one season at Old Trafford. United paid €42.5m to sign the Netherlands international from Bologna.

Serie A clubs are believed to be more interested in a loan deal. The temporary move would also allow Zirkzee to work on his finishing and keep his dream of succeeding at United alive.
