It is clear to see Manchester United are struggling in midfield with Ruben Amorim’s tactics not helping.
A midfield pivot of Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes or the skipper with Manuel Ugarte is proving to be not enough with opposition overwhelming the Red Devils in the middle of the park.
Pundits have asked the head coach to tweak his system, while also calling out INEOS for not going all out to improve in the middle of the park in the summer.
The co-owners have plans to rectify this moving forward, with Fichajes claiming the 20-time English league champions have their eyes on Federico Valverde of Real Madrid.
Federico Valverde on United’s radar
In fact, Amorim is pushing to sign the 27-year-old with the 20-time English league champions preparing a €100 million offer for the two-time Champions League winner.
The Uruguayan can play all across the midfield, with his energy, work-rate and eye for the spectacular a great fit for United. Last season, he netted 11 times, while also registering eight assists.
Interestingly, despite having a contract at the Bernabeu till 2029, Los Blancos seem prepared to sell the superstar as they plan to utilise the money raised to bring in United target, Adam Wharton.

Federico Valverde along with Carlos Baleba could truly revolutionise the United midfield, but whether INEOS can pull off this deal will be interesting to see.
