United open formal talks to sign incredible 26-yo winger, €100m bid being discussed – report

Manchester United are showing keen interest in a big-money move for AC Milan superstar Rafael Leao. United signed Matheus Cunha to replace Marcus Rashford as a left-sided wide playmaker in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation. Towards the end of the summer window, they also got rid of left winger Alejandro Garnacho.  Cunha has added spark and unpredictability to United’s attack with his dribbling. However, the Brazilian has frequently underwhelmed with his final action. He is yet to register a goal or assist in his first eight appearances for the Red Devils. Ruben Amorim has Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo as his options on the right flank, and he could certainly do with more firepower on the left.  Manchester United considering Leao offer According to Fichajes, Leao has emerged as a “priority” target for United. It is understood Leao’s brilliant performances in Serie A have sparked interest from the Premier League giants. The Spanish outlet suggest there is talk of a potential offer in the region of €100m for the Portugal international, with United determined to improve their attack. It is added that United have already “formally” informed Leao’s representatives of their intentions. Milan star is a man in demand The 26-year-old is viewed as one of Europe’s most complete wingers, having scored 74 goals and registered 62 assists in 265 appearances for Milan. The Portuguese forward is known for his explosive burst of speed, dribbling, excellent passing and ferocious shooting power. Leao has started the new season in hot form under Massimiliano Allegri, bagging three goals in four Serie A matches. It is going to be an uphill task for United to convince the Milan talisman to pick their project, especially as Liverpool and Manchester City are also thought to be monitoring his situation.  Featured images Marco Luzzani via Getty Images The Peoples Person has been one of the world’s leading Man United news sites for over a decade.
