United on high alert as world-class striker set to demand transfer following failed talks with club director – report

Manchester United target Dusan Vlahovic appears destined to leave Juventus, as per reports.

Vlahovic has become a decisive figure in Turin. Signed from Fiorentina amid much fanfare in 2022, the Siberian faces an uncertain future at the club.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming the 25-year-old is pushing for a move to Manchester United, with the Red Devils keen on signing a new striker this summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus general director Damien Comolli recently joined the first team in the United States, especially to resolve Vlahovic’s situation.

The Serbia international’s contract is due to expire in 12 months. The Old Lady have proposed a renewal offer worth around €7 million net annually.

The number nine currently takes home €12m net, around €250k per week, and has no desire to accept Juve’s new offer.

It is claimed the Serie A giants have now “entered into the mindset” that a high-profile offensive signing would only be possible by parting ways with Vlahovic, who is thought to be valued at €30m.

Head coach Igor Tudor doesn’t view Vlahovic as an indispensable figure and showed more trust in Randal Kolo Muani during the business end of the campaign. The Paris Saint-Germain loanee wants to continue in Italy.

Meanwhile, another Italian publication, La Gazzetta dello Sport, claim Juventus are already looking for his replacement.

One of their targets is Victor Osimhen, who has also been strongly linked with United. However, without Vlahovic’s departure, their pursuit is going to be very difficult, if not impossible.

It is suggested that the ex-Fiorentina star’s aim is to leave as a free agent next summer to attract more lucrative offers.

However, Juventus are likely to push for a separation now. Whether United will try to capitalise on the situation remains to be seen.
